Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 727: Chapter 726: Eat too much? Got disliked

”Just have a bit.”

Maxwell Peary followed her to the Dining Hall and took his place. He wasn’t sure what to do, seeing her still in a huff.

The ambiance in the Dining Hall quickly became much more solemn, falling into silence.

Frederick Goldsmith, carrying a bowl of porridge, immediately sensed this. What happened? he wondered. Weren’t they fine just a while ago? Why does it suddenly seem off?

”Young Madam, your porridge.”

Frederick Goldsmith placed the porridge in front of Nia Mitchell, breaking the silence in the Dining Hall.

”Mmm,” Nia Mitchell replied, grabbing a spoon and stirring the porridge back and forth.

After a while, Nia bit her lip. ”Alright, I’ll just eat a bit. After all, you’ve already thrown it away.” Facing the facts, even if she was unwilling, what could she do? Was she supposed to pick up the cotton candy from the trash can?

Maxwell glanced at her. After she finished speaking, he picked up his chopsticks and began to eat his dinner.

”If you’re not hungry, eat less, or it won’t be easy to digest.”

Seeing Nia still stirring her porridge, Maxwell assumed she didn’t actually want to eat.

Hearing this, Nia Mitchell lifted her head to look at the CEO. ”I understand.”

The atmosphere remained slightly awkward.

The CEO ate very little tonight. How little? Even less than Nia, who had been having a midnight snack.

”Uncle, why are you eating so little?” Nia Mitchell asked, furrowing her delicate eyebrows when she saw Maxwell had already put down his chopsticks.

”What is it?” he asked. Was there anything wrong with him eating less?

”Shouldn’t men have larger appetites?” At their School, whenever male students bought food in the cafeteria, the ladies serving would give them a lot more white rice. And those boys could always finish it. So why was the CEO eating so little?

”So, you think I’m not a man?”

Maxwell raised an eyebrow. Wasn’t this little Rabina Mitchell hinting at something during her special time?

Nia Mitchell: ...

Heh.

Her lips twitched. She was a little unsure of how to face the CEO. Why does he always have to twist things to be about *that*?

”I didn’t say that,” she retorted. ”I just think you’re eating too little, plain and simple.” His mind is the one in the gutter!

Maxwell raised an eyebrow. Is it wrong to eat less?

”I didn’t eat *that* little,” Maxwell suddenly said, his expression deadpan but a slight smile playing on his lips.

Huh? Nia thought.

”You only think I ate too little because you ate too much.”

Nia Mitchell: ...

She really wanted to disown this CEO right now! What was she supposed to do? No girl likes to hear that, right?

”I did not eat a lot!” Nia Mitchell protested, her cheeks puffing out in a flush, which was incredibly cute.

”Not a lot?” Maxwell glanced at the empty plates in front of her.

”I... I was just eating the side dishes,” Nia Mitchell countered awkwardly, then noticed Maxwell’s gaze fall on her bowl. Alright, so she’d finished a bowl of porridge too.

”Anyway, I didn’t eat a lot! *You’re* the one who ate too little,” Nia Mitchell began to argue unreasonably. She suddenly had a feeling she *might* have eaten a bit too much. But she absolutely couldn’t admit it. Nope, definitely not.

”I’ll take you for a walk in the garden,” Maxwell suggested after a moment’s thought, then stood up.

”No,” Nia Mitchell pouted.

”Be good. Otherwise, it won’t digest well,” Maxwell cajoled gently as he approached her. She’d already eaten a fair amount for dinner, on top of that snack earlier. It hadn’t been that long. He was worried she would feel uncomfortable later.
