Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 717: Chapter 716: The Rumored Fraud

”This is a straight road. If you were actually looking, you would have seen me from miles away.”

Nia Mitchell gestured to the road, which had no turns or anything of the sort.

Julia Adams clenched her fists. She was the one who got hit, how could this be...

Thinking of this, she suddenly grimaced. ”It hurts so bad, my ankle is in so much pain.”

Julia’s face contorted in pain as she sat there, tears streaming down her face. With such an appearance, she looked like a typical victim.

”Julia, since you’re injured, I’ll take you to the Hospital.”

What else can I do? Nia thought. With so many people watching, even if Julia was faking it and had done it on purpose, there was no other way.

”I don’t want to go to the Hospital. I have something very important to do later.”

Julia immediately refused. I absolutely can’t go to the Hospital. Wouldn’t my lie be exposed if I went? Yes, she was indeed pretending. She had seen Nia’s car approaching and deliberately thrown herself in front of it.

Seeing her act like this, Nia’s expression darkened.

”So, what do you want to do?” Nia threw the question back at her. ”Tell me, what kind of resolution do you want?”

”I want you to apologize to me in front of the entire School, and then compensate me for my losses.”

What on earth is Julia thinking? She already knows the relationship between Nia Mitchell and Maxwell Peary is significant, yet she’s still doing such a thankless task. This is just... She’s out of her mind. It seems she’s determined to hold this grudge against Nia to the very end.

”Julia, is that all you’re after?”

Nia scoffed at Julia’s actions. And here I was, wondering what she was planning. To think... Heh!

”As I recall, this car has a dashcam,” Nia said, a smile spreading across her face as she spoke.

HISS—

Julia gasped, finally realizing how crude her trick was. Nia’s earlier behavior had clearly been giving her a way out, but she had chosen to push her luck.

This was Maxwell’s car; naturally, it was fully equipped with all sorts of devices. How could it possibly not have something like a dashcam?

”I... I don’t care what you have! You hit me, and I’m injured!”

Julia was clearly flustered. Her eyes darted around as she desperately tried to figure out what to do.

Nia sneered and was about to head back to the car to check the dashcam when a student walked over.

”I can prove that Julia did it on purpose.” As she spoke, she held up the camera in her hand.

This person was none other than Tara Jameson.

Tara was a member of University A’s photography club and loved photography, so she often wandered around with her camera. When she saw Maxwell’s black Rolls-Royce again, Tara felt it was an opportunity not to be missed and turned on her camera’s video recording function. She just hadn’t expected to capture such a dramatic scene.

Julia... Heh, she really is unbelievably ridiculous.

”Tara Jameson?” Nia looked at the female student who had approached, her expression curious. Seeing the camera in Tara’s hand, understanding dawned on her.

”I happened to capture that entire scene just now,” Tara said. ”Classmate, do you want to leave now, or would you prefer I post this video on the School’s forum?”

Tara didn’t offer to show it to everyone on the spot; she simply stated this.
