Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 708: Chapter 707: The Poor Relatives of Young Master Peary’s family

Seeing her expression, Chairman Zhu, who was standing to the side, chuckled.

She must have hit a wall. Haha, in Capital Town, not many people dare to openly offend him.

”Nia Mitchell, isn’t it? You’d better think carefully about what you should do. Otherwise, I can’t guarantee that when the police arrive, you won’t suffer even more.”

Chairman Zhu was in a particularly good mood, his face wreathed in smiles.

As he looked at Nia, his mind was filled with certain... images.

Nia’s mouth twitched. She hadn’t expected Chairman Zhu to be so narcissistic.

And is he sure there isn’t something wrong with his head? To think he could actually say such things.

”When the police arrive, we’ll see who’s actually out of luck.”

She was the one who called the police; she was the victim.

Chairman Zhu looked completely unconcerned, standing there and repeatedly scanning Nia from head to toe.

Nia instantly felt her hair stand on end, goosebumps erupting all over her skin under his gaze.

Finally, after what felt like a long ten minutes, police officers in uniform arrived.

The Grand Gate of the Buffet Restaurant opened. Chief Zhang, looking anxious and walking briskly, quickly made his way over.

”Miss Mitchell.”

Chief Zhang had naturally seen Chairman Zhu when he entered, but he went straight to Nia Mitchell to greet her first.

Chairman Zhu immediately frowned, finding Chief Zhang’s actions somewhat unbelievable.

He ran straight to that young girl as soon as he entered, and even looked respectful? What the hell was going on?

”Chief?”

Nia blinked, finding the scene before her a little hard to believe.

It was just a minor case, yet Chief Zhang actually came in person? That was really strange.

”It is I, Miss Mitchell. Rest assured, we will handle this matter properly.”

Chief Zhang smiled, his expression eager to please.

”As long as you can handle it, that’s fine. In that case, I’ll be leaving now.”

Saying this, Nia reached out, took Fiona Sutton’s hand, and the two of them prepared to leave.

However, just as she had taken a few steps, Chief Zhang’s sycophantic words reached her from behind.

”Miss Mitchell, could I trouble you to please put in a good word for me with Young Master Peary?”

Chief Zhang’s face was plastered with a smile, and Nia returned a smile of her own.

Chairman Zhu, at the side, had long since felt that something was amiss. No matter how you looked at it, Chief Zhang was the director of the Police Bureau; why was his attitude towards this young girl so accommodating? Moreover, what was that he just said about putting in a good word with Young Master Peary? That really wasn’t Chief Zhang’s usual style.

It was just so strange. Did this Nia Mitchell really know Young Master Peary?

”You’re too kind, Chief Zhang,” Nia said, her smile extremely awkward.

”Chief Zhang, what exactly is the relationship between this Nia Mitchell and Young Master Peary?” Chairman Zhu felt as if his heart was itching, desperate to know.

Chief Zhang paused for a moment; Chairman Zhu’s question had indeed put him on the spot.

The only thing he knew was that the relationship between Nia Mitchell and Young Master Peary was far from simple, but he didn’t know the specifics of their connection.

”Perhaps they’re relatives.”

Considering her age and appearance, no matter how you look at it, she doesn’t seem like she could be Young Master Peary’s woman. So, she must be a distant relative. However, even if she’s a very distant relative of Young Master Peary, he still has to treat her with importance.

”Tsk, and here I was thinking it was something significant. She’s nothing more than an inexperienced young girl, after all.”

Relatives? Aren’t they just poor relations?
