Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 584: Chapter 583: I Want to Go Back to My Parents’ Home

Phoebe Harris stood in a daze, her hand covering her burning cheek as pain instantly spread throughout her body.

Tears welled in her eyes. Her cheek throbbed hotly as she stared in disbelief at the man before her.

He... he actually dares to slap me!

The bright red imprint of his hand on her fair face was glaring and distressing.

Even Silvia Waterborne has never been subjected to such a thing in her entire life!

”Samuel Peary!” Phoebe shrieked, her shrill voice reverberating. ”How dare you lay a hand on me! How dare you hit me!”

Staring at Samuel Peary in disbelief, Phoebe gritted her teeth. She pulled her hand away from her face, revealing the stark, five-fingered mark.

”Let me tell you, Samuel Peary, if you don’t explain yourself clearly today, don’t think this is over!”

On what grounds?

She had never endured such treatment before. This Samuel Peary must still harbor feelings for Silvia Waterborne; that’s why he couldn’t tolerate what I said.

”So what?” Samuel Peary paid no heed to Phoebe’s threat.

Long ago, Phoebe had held a significant position in his heart. It wasn’t that he had been particularly fond of her, but rather that he had desperately needed her.

However, as time passed, the Harris Family’s influence had steadily declined, and they could no longer offer any assistance to the Peary Clan. Why should he endure such frustrating treatment from someone who could no longer benefit him?

”Samuel Peary, you must apologize to me! I’m going back to my parents’ house!”

Returning to her parents’ house was the only resort Phoebe knew.

The Harris Family had provided Samuel Peary with considerable help in the past. If he were to abandon her now, he would be the epitome of ingratitude. If he proved ungrateful, he would surely face widespread condemnation. She knew Samuel cared about such matters, which was why he had always treated her pleasantly over the years.

”I’m telling you, I won’t come back with you easily this time! You’d better figure out how you’re going to explain this to everyone in my Harris Family, and you’d better think carefully about how you’ll explain it to the media too!”

Years ago, the marriage of the Harris Family’s daughter to Samuel Peary had been a major sensation. Now, if news broke that Samuel Peary was mistreating Phoebe Harris, it would undoubtedly trigger a massive scandal.

”You!” Samuel Peary had long since had enough of all this. He hadn’t expected Phoebe to have remained so unchanged.

”Fine! Go back to the Harris Family then! We’ll see if I come to fetch you this time. We might as well just get a divorce then!”

Phoebe had never imagined Samuel Peary would utter such words. Her face turned deathly pale.

He wants a divorce?! Oh, dear God! This is Samuel Peary... Samuel Peary himself actually suggested a divorce!

”Do you think that if you divorce me, you’ll be able to marry Silvia Waterborne?”

I’m not stupid enough to do that! Why would I pave the way for those two? No, absolutely not! Divorce is out of the question. Besides divorce, I have plenty of ways to deal with him.

”Don’t think I’m a fool! You want to be with Silvia Waterborne? Keep dreaming!”

Who is Silvia Waterborne? She’s a goddess, a true Goddess! Netizens have all said online that no man is worthy of her. Samuel Peary, of all people... how could she possibly agree to be with him?

”Don’t bring her up again,” Samuel Peary said. ”It’s impossible between her and me.”

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to be with Silvia Waterborne, but rather that Silvia Waterborne wouldn’t agree. Silvia Waterborne would never accept Samuel Peary. In Silvia Waterborne’s heart, Samuel Peary had long since become insignificant.
