Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 552: Chapter 551: Is it Because of Nia Mitchell, Right?

”That’s pretty much saying nothing.”

Julia Adams’s mouth twitched, feeling a bit discontented. ”But even if it’s based on feeling, there should be a type you prefer.”

Does he like slim, refined ladies? Domineering women? Youthful cuties? Or some other type? These things usually follow a pattern, but that Nia Mitchell simply refuses to tell us. That’s just intolerable!

”The matters of the heart are unpredictable. In the face of affection, type doesn’t really matter.” True love is indeed a strange and magical thing, Nia mused.

Yancy Hastings was a perfect example: he disliked rudeness, a lack of manners, and common girls. When he first saw Nia Mitchell, he developed an immediate aversion, thinking she had impure intentions. But now, he had voluntarily climbed into Fiona Sutton’s bed. And who was Fiona Sutton? More uncouth than Nia Mitchell, more tomboyish than Nia Mitchell, less well-mannered than Nia Mitchell, and even more of a commoner. A person who’d use crude language and pick a fight at any moment... she was definitely not Yancy Hastings’s ideal partner. But what was the end result?

Of course, Nia Mitchell did not know these things.

”So you’re saying, there’s a possibility that Professor Northwood might like me, then?”

Julia Adams pondered for a moment, her eyes lighting up as the possibility struck her, and her heart suddenly filled with joy. Even if I left a bad impression on Charles Northwood before, it doesn’t matter; feelings are a very strange thing after all. With this thought, Julia Adams wanted to get closer to Charles Northwood again. Although Charles Northwood isn’t rich, he’s good-looking and has a decent job, so it’s not a loss.

”Um... you should ask him that yourself.”

This question genuinely put Nia Mitchell in a predicament. Looking at Julia Adams, she’s probably the type Charles Northwood dislikes the most.

”He should like me,” Julia declared, her confidence suddenly soaring as she thought of Fiona Sutton and Nia Mitchell. ”Look, even someone as vulgar and base as Fiona Sutton can be his friend, and even you—someone with no brains, no looks, and no talent—can associate with him. I definitely can too!”

Nia Mitchell was speechless. She’s being insulted by Julia Adams again.

”Julia Adams, I think it’s unlikely.”

Since she’s putting me down like that, I naturally have to retaliate and make her see her own flaws, Nia Mitchell thought, then retorted without considering the consequences, ”Charles Northwood will not like your type, not even if the world exploded.” After all, Charles Northwood indeed did not like her.

”Impossible, Professor Northwood!” Julia Adams cried, looking at Charles Northwood who was sitting to the side, tears welling up in her eyes.

”Indeed, I don’t like you,” Charles Northwood stated. When it came to emotions, he didn’t beat around the bush, so he rejected Julia Adams directly.

Hearing this, Julia’s tears streamed down her face. ”How could you both gang up to bully me!” she shouted, crying her eyes out.

”Professor Northwood, you clearly knew I liked you, and you never rejected me before! Is it because of Nia Mitchell? Did Nia Mitchell badmouth me, is that it?” Julia Adams wailed, sinking into her seat, heartbroken as tears streamed endlessly down her face.

This spectacle took everyone by surprise. Julia Adams was crying?

”It has nothing to do with Nia Mitchell.”

Charles Northwood had completely lost any remaining shred of goodwill he might have had for Julia Adams. This kind of person who thinks the world is persecuting her, what on earth goes on in her head? I never rejected her before? Nonsense. She never confessed her feelings or anything. Do I really have to inexplicably run up to her and declare, ’I will not like you’? I’m not crazy, am I?
