Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 563: Chapter 562: You’re the One Showing Off and Acting Rich, So You Should Pay

They had chosen to gather at Royal Dynasty. Wasn’t it precisely because it was Maxwell Peary’s property? As Maxwell Peary’s wife, Nia Mitchell would absolutely not be expected to pay for anything here. So, this group of people were just freeloaders. And now Fiona Sutton actually expected her to settle the bill? What on earth was going on?

As soon as Yancy Hastings spoke, everyone turned to look at Nia Mitchell. Why ask Nia Mitchell this question? Holy shit, Fiona, it seems there’s something between your boyfriend and Nia Mitchell! That was the thought running through most people’s minds in the Private Room; it was simply too sensational.

”Uh, no need,” Nia Mitchell said awkwardly. She didn’t know what to do. Seeing Yancy Hastings staring at her, she instinctively covered her face with her hand.

It wasn’t surprising that Yancy Hastings knew Royal Dynasty was Maxwell Peary’s property.

”Why? Nia Mitchell, are you planning to pay the bill?”

Julia Adams suddenly regained her spirits. Could Nia Mitchell even afford tonight’s dinner? After all, this dinner was even more expensive than lunch.

”Also,” Julia Adams added, ”we haven’t settled the bill for the afternoon karaoke yet. It’s being combined with the dinner bill.”

No one wanted to bring up the topic of payment, so it was simply lumped together. Perhaps most of the people present had been waiting for Julia Adams to say just that. And Julia Adams, at this moment, was actually being used as a tool.

”What does this have to do with me?” Nia Mitchell retorted, deciding it was best for everyone to be clear. ”Are you all planning to make me pay again?”

Everyone was momentarily stunned by Nia Mitchell’s words, their faces turning a little red. Make her pay again? Why did it sound so... so outrageous when she said it, making everyone feel like they’d gone too far?

”Nia Mitchell, what are you saying? You were the one who offered to treat us for lunch!” a boy, his pride stung, couldn’t help but speak up.

Hearing this, Nia Mitchell was rendered speechless. How utterly shameless they are!

”I was pressured by you all,” Nia Mitchell stated, ”but it doesn’t matter. It’s just money, and I have plenty of it. But you all should be more careful in the future. If you can’t afford to spend at Royal Dynasty, then don’t come again. You should also consider your own standing; you can’t always count on running into me.” She was done being polite; they had gone too far.

She had never imagined this group of classmates would be like this. She no longer needed to consider any past sentimentality.

Upon hearing Nia Mitchell’s words, everyone flushed red to their ears, as if their nerves had been sharply provoked.

”Nia Mitchell, what’s with your tone? You obviously volunteered. Who forced you?” one of them retorted.

Was a knife held to her throat? Of course not. Wasn’t she just trying to save face? If that weren’t the case, would she have actually agreed to pay?

”Exactly! You were the one who wanted to pay. If you’re out of money, just say so. Don’t stubbornly keep up appearances. When you’ve spent all your money and can’t explain yourself back home, we won’t be able to help you.”

Everyone started to chime in, beginning to feel that Nia Mitchell was being unreasonable. Even the tiny shred of embarrassment and guilt that had remained from earlier in the day completely vanished at this moment.

”Nia Mitchell, we didn’t force you. If you don’t want to pay, then don’t. After all, we agreed to go Dutch beforehand. You were the one who insisted on paying for everyone.”

With one person saying this and another adding that, in the end, it all became Nia Mitchell’s fault.

”Yeah, we agreed to split the bill! You were the one showing off your wealth and insisting on paying. Who could have stopped you?”
