Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 566: Chapter 565: Are you... putting on a show for me?

Time seemed to freeze at that moment. Nia Mitchell’s words struck Julia Adams like a knife.

If Julia didn’t have a good excuse, and couldn’t make a stunning comeback, she probably wouldn’t survive in this class.

”Perhaps none of you know, all my allowance went to charity.”

As Julia Adams said this, she hung her head pitifully.

”But, Nia Mitchell, you knew about this! How could you... How could you say something like that at this time? Letting everyone misunderstand, what good would that do you?”

Damn. Julia Adams was truly something else. With just a few simple words, she had not only gotten herself out of the predicament but had also somehow implicated Nia. Now the tables had turned. If Nia didn’t say something, she would be the one painted as the villain.

”But you also told me before that your family already gave you half of next month’s allowance. Your half should be enough to pay for this.”

Had Julia Adams really said these things to Nia Mitchell? Yeah, right. In this class, Julia Adams might have said such things to anyone, but definitely not to Nia Mitchell. So, no matter who mentioned any supposed conversation between the two of them, it was all fabricated.

If CEO Maxwell Peary were here, he would probably be shaking his head and sighing in amazement. His Bunny had actually sprouted claws and even learned to lie. But... he liked it.

Half of Julia Adams’s allowance was enough to pay for this meal? Damn! Everyone knew Julia Adams was rich, but they had no idea she was *this* wealthy. She was basically... a Local Tyrant!

Julia Adams’s face darkened immediately, and her eyes filled with anger as she looked at Nia Mitchell.

Damn it!

”Nia Mitchell, all my money has already been donated!” Julia Adams stuck to her statement, her face a mask of grievance.

Nia Mitchell’s lip twitched. She could manage to tell a lie if she had to. But putting on such a convincing show of grievance like Julia Adams? That, she really couldn’t do. Lines of exasperation seemed to form on Nia Mitchell’s forehead. She shook her head; she truly hadn’t expected Julia Adams to be so utterly shameless.

”Are... you two putting on a show for my benefit?”

Yancy Hastings, who had been watching for a long time, was starting to feel a bit bored. Couldn’t these girls find something better to talk about? Why did they have to start fighting right here? The main point was, this sharp-tongued Nia Mitchell was Maxwell Peary’s woman. TSK TSK. Maxwell Peary’s taste was getting worse and worse. To think he’d been so selective, only to end up picking someone like *her* for a wife.

When they heard Yancy Hastings’s voice, everyone turned their heads to look at him.

This soldierly-looking guy hadn’t said a word since he came in, just sitting there like he was invisible. Why did he suddenly speak up now? And when he finally did, why did his words have to be so harsh? Still, it was good to have one more person. When it came time to pay the bill, he’d be included, and they could split the cost a bit more.

Yancy Hastings was a shrewd man; how could he not see through their intentions?

”Since none of you seem prepared to actually eat, Fiona Sutton and I will take our leave.” Saying this, Yancy Hastings reached out and pulled Fiona Sutton, intending to leave.

Fiona Sutton was stunned. What did this outrageous man mean? Nia Mitchell was still in such a terrible predicament; how could she just up and leave?

At this moment, Fiona Sutton had completely forgotten that she was the one who’d initially said she would ignore Nia Mitchell.

”Let go of me! I’m not leaving, I’m not leaving!”

Fiona Sutton struggled, but when had Yancy Hastings ever let her succeed?
