Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 395: Chapter 394: Dare You Tell The Media That You Have Children?

Silvia Waterborne raised an eyebrow. Oh?

What did Phoebe Harris mean by this? Does she have no say in her daughter’s matters now?

Silvia Waterborne looked at Samuel Peary, obviously waiting for him to speak. ”The Peary Clan?”

”Evelyn is now a Peary; naturally, she belongs to the Peary Clan.”

Samuel Peary was stunned for a long moment. It wasn’t until Phoebe Harris nudged him that he snapped back to his senses.

Even when facing Silvia Waterborne, he still said something hurtful.

Clearly, with that statement, he had metaphorically kicked Silvia miles away, insinuating that she would always be an outsider.

”I am Evelyn’s mother.”

Silvia Waterborne looked at Samuel Peary, unangered by his words.

As if already accustomed to his attitude, Silvia sat upright on the sofa, her aura even more noble than that of young ladies meticulously groomed from birth.

Silvia, like this, truly deserved to be called a Goddess; no wonder she could maintain her standing in the Entertainment Circle.

”You’re not.”

Phoebe Harris suddenly stood up, her heavily painted, scarlet lips curled as she spoke arrogantly.

”You’re just a minor Star in the Entertainment Circle. The daughter of the Peary Clan doesn’t need a mother with your kind of background. Besides, didn’t you publicly claim you would remain unmarried? If those Gossip Journalists constantly buzzing around you found out you have such a grown-up daughter, wouldn’t your career come to a standstill?”

Perhaps many people believed Silvia Waterborne had chosen her career over raising her children because she hadn’t retired from the Entertainment Circle.

But who could truly understand the difficult choices she faced back then?

Phoebe Harris’s words didn’t infuriate Silvia Waterborne; instead, it was Evelyn Peary, sitting to the side, who couldn’t take it any longer.

”What are you implying? Who do you think you are to say such things here?”

Evelyn Peary couldn’t care less about Samuel Peary’s expression. Her own mother was being bullied; was she supposed to just sit there smiling and pretend nothing was happening?

It wasn’t just her; even Maxwell, her older brother, was emitting a chilling aura.

What on earth is this damned Phoebe Harris to the Peary Clan anyway?

”Evelyn Peary, I am your Elder! Watch your words!”

Phoebe Harris was also extremely discourteous. She had long found this young girl an eyesore, and today, the girl actually dared to shout at her on such an occasion.

She was increasingly losing the demeanor of a proper young lady.

This was all because Maxwell Peary spoiled her! Just look, how many young ladies of her standing would go and open some kind of hotel or wine business, giving it a ridiculously pretentious name.

”What Elder? Hmph! You think you can just decide my marriage as you please?”

Evelyn Peary was already seething. At this point, she couldn’t care less who they were.

In her heart, only her mother and brother mattered.

The rest of them had never treated her well.

”The Hastings Family just has background and status, right? The Peary Clan is no less, so why the need for a marriage alliance?”

”I will not marry! Even if I die, I will never marry Yancy Hastings! So you all better give up that idea!”

Evelyn Peary stood up and shouted. After saying her piece, she was ready to storm out.

Unexpectedly, just as she finished speaking, she found Yancy Hastings standing right there in the doorway.

Evelyn Peary froze, an intense wave of awkwardness washing over her. Her face flushed scarlet, as if she’d been caught red-handed badmouthing someone.

She stood there, fidgeting uncomfortably, her hands clenched tightly. Her gaze darted to Maxwell Peary and Nia Mitchell, a silent plea for help in her eyes.

What do I do? This is so embarrassing! Big Brother, Sister-in-law, save me! Save me! Save me!

A hush fell over the vast Living Room; in the sudden silence, only the sound of Yancy Hastings’s approaching footsteps could be heard.
