Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 367: Chapter 366: Are you sympathizing with me?

Nia Mitchell looked as if she wanted to cry but couldn’t, her mind racing.

”I signed it because I was drunk.”

Nia finished speaking and nodded emphatically, as if to convince herself.

”You left with your suitcase because you were hungover?”

Despite his unwillingness, Maxwell Peary still shot her an irritated glance.

Nia looked a little awkward and reached up to scratch her hair.

”You were the one who left first last night! You were the one scaring people with that stern face! You forced me to say...”

She herself was confused about whether she loved the CEO or not.

But if Maxwell Peary didn’t love her, why would she choose to love him?

Love had to be mutual; a one-sided love was simply too painful.

Maxwell Peary suppressed his anger, trying his best to soften his voice. He didn’t want to scare Rabina Mitchell and then have to coax her. Besides, he couldn’t bear to frighten her.

”Nia Mitchell, haven’t I done enough? Is that why you can’t see how I feel about you?”

His sorrowful words sent a violent tremor through her heart. As she slowly looked up, she inadvertently found herself lost in his eyes, dark and deep as an abyss.

”I...”

”You don’t have to say anything.”

Maxwell Peary interrupted her, releasing the hand he had been holding.

Seeing him like this, Nia was finally free, yet she had no desire to leave.

The body is often the most honest. Without thinking, she instinctively grabbed the CEO’s hand.

Huh? The tables seemed to have turned. How had it become her grabbing him?

”Answer one last question for me.”

Nia looked down at her hand clutching the CEO’s. She wasn’t using much force; if he wanted to break free, it would take him mere moments. Yet, he didn’t.

”Go ahead.”

Nia bit her lip and mustered the courage to look up.

”That day you went to Provence, was it to meet Anne Davidson?”

She had thought about it a lot today. If he really liked Anne Davidson and they had a child together, wouldn’t that make her a mistress, breaking up someone else’s family?

Maxwell Peary suddenly frowned. It seemed that the Old Master at the family estate had told her quite a bit. For her to hold it in until now... really...

When Nia didn’t hear an explanation from the CEO for a long moment, her heart began to pound.

It’s true.

So, that’s why he’s silent, right?

”Maxwell Peary, if that’s the case, why did you marry me?” Nia suddenly yelled, her resonant voice startling Maxwell Peary.

”I became the mistress I despise! I ruined someone else’s happiness! If you really like Anne Davidson, why did you get a marriage certificate with me?”

”Was it because I was abandoned at my engagement ceremony, and you pitied me?”

”Are you pitying me? Are you playing with me?”

Tears streamed down her cheeks. She stood there, devastated, having said so much yet hearing no explanation from Maxwell Peary.

Why? Why wouldn’t he say a single word?

Was he too lazy to even bother explaining?

”Maxwell Peary, I truly feel sorry for Anne Davidson! You don’t deserve love! I can’t believe anyone would actually love someone like you!” Nia yelled, fiercely wiping away her tears. I will not cry for such a scumbag!

”Nia Mitchell.”

Maxwell Peary rubbed his throbbing temples, cutting short her relentless accusations.

”Get lost!”

”UMPH...”

Maxwell Peary scooped Rabina Mitchell up, unceremoniously slung her over his shoulder, and strode towards his car, his face dark.

”Nia Mitchell, you are really, really done for!” the furious CEO yelled as he strode rapidly.
