Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 381: Chapter 380: Do you also want to learn from your friend to hook up with a tycoon?

HISS—

Yancy Hastings seriously began to wonder if this Fiona Sutton was driven mad by poverty or was simply a lunatic. Only she could conceive of such a mutually destructive tactic.

”I think I’m the one who should be calling the police, not you.”

This damned woman, driving drunk! If she isn’t taught a harsh lesson, she’ll never learn her place.

Yancy Hastings took out his phone and dialed a number.

”Director Zhang, some drunk lunatic just hit my car. I have urgent matters back at my unit, so could you come and handle this? I’m currently at...”

Damn it!

Fiona Sutton’s mind went completely blank; she couldn’t understand what Yancy Hastings was saying at all.

But he actually called the police? Isn’t he afraid of the embarrassment?

Fiona Sutton frowned. Only then did it occur to her: Someone with his power and status wouldn’t be embarrassed. The Police Bureau would probably cover this up and then... deal with me secretly.

Ugh...

Fiona Sutton rubbed her temples. Why is my head starting to hurt after just two glasses of beer?

”Yancy Hastings, you classless lout! You’re a disgrace to your service, a disgrace to that military uniform! You’re nothing but a military ruffian...”

Fiona started shouting relentlessly. Yancy Hastings hadn’t hung up yet, so Director Zhang on the other end heard everything clearly.

Am I cursed this year?

I’m just a humble Police Station Director. How have I recently gotten entangled in matters concerning Young Master Peary and Brigade Commander Hastings?

That woman who hit Brigade Commander Hastings’s car... Ugh, maybe I’m overthinking it, but why do I get the feeling she actually knows Yancy Hastings? They wouldn’t be just bored and messing with me for fun, would they?

”Did you hear that?!”

Hearing Fiona’s tirade, Yancy Hastings grew increasingly furious. Unable to control his temper, he roared into the phone at Director Zhang.

”Yes, yes, yes! I’ll personally come over to handle it right away!”

Director Zhang scrambled out of bed and hurriedly began to dress, wasting no time.

After hanging up, Yancy Hastings turned to look at Fiona, still standing there, then glanced at his watch.

”I’ll let you off the hook for today.”

With that said, Yancy Hastings immediately got into his car, stepped on the gas, and prepared to drive off.

Fiona Sutton clenched her fists and dashed into the middle of the road with lightning speed, spreading her arms to block his way.

”If you’ve got the guts, then run me over! You have to compensate me!”

Yancy Hastings felt a headache coming on. He again questioned if today was truly an auspicious day. He’d specifically checked the almanac before setting out to propose to Evelyn Peary.

Annoyed, he pulled two hundred-dollar bills from his car and flung them out the window with a flick of his wrist.

The evening breeze rustled softly. The two hundred-dollar bills immediately fluttered and spun in the air, each rotation seemingly telling Fiona Sutton: ”If you don’t hurry and grab us, we’ll fly far away!”

Fiona Sutton glared furiously at Yancy Hastings, not even sparing a glance for the two hundred USD.

The car has such a huge dent, and he thinks two hundred USD is enough? What good is that?!

”Yancy Hastings, are you giving alms to a beggar? It’s not like you’re short on cash. Why are you shirking your responsibility?”

Although she had been driving a bit fast, she had seen very clearly just moments ago that Yancy Hastings was going much faster than her.

”Even if I were to give my money to a beggar, I wouldn’t waste it on someone like you! So what? Do you think that just because your good friend latched onto some rich tycoon, you can start getting ideas about me?”

He gave a cold, mocking laugh, looking derisively at Fiona, who stood defiantly before his car.

”Narcissism is a disease, you know. Are you going crazy from being single? Ah, so that’s why you won’t compensate—you need that money to treat your illness, huh?”

My friend latched onto a rich guy? Heh. How come I didn’t know about that?
