Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 394: Chapter 393: Master, Silvia Waterborne is here

Having heard Evelyn Peary’s words, Maxwell Peary glanced at Samuel Peary. His meaning was obvious: if the person in question declined, on what grounds could you agree?

Stunned, Samuel Peary furrowed his brows, his thick black eyebrows nearly meeting in the middle.

”Marriage is a major event; parents’ command and matchmakers’ advice should be respected. Do either of you, brother and sister, ever make things easy?”

Samuel Peary’s anger suddenly focused on Maxwell. Then, with deep dissatisfaction, he shot a glare at Nia Mitchell, who was sitting beside Maxwell.

Nia Mitchell widened her sparkling eyes, turning to look at Maxwell Peary.

Seeing that Maxwell still had no expression and their hands were still tightly clasped, suddenly, she was not afraid of anything.

With Maxwell Peary by her side, he would definitely protect her.

There was no absolute need to bring her here today.

Presumably, his decision to do so was to let Samuel Peary know that she, Nia Mitchell, was Maxwell Peary’s wife.

This was him bringing her here to legitimize their relationship.

With this in mind, a smile returned to Nia’s face, her heart bursting with sweet joy. Seeing Belinda Swan sitting not too far away, she also felt somewhat relieved.

”Do you think you have a say in my marriage?”

In the Peary Clan, Maxwell’s power had long surpassed Samuel’s.

Upon hearing this, a surge of anger welled up inside Samuel Peary.

”Is this how you talk to your father?!”

The living room went eerily silent, save for this one roar of anger. Just then, the butler arrived.

”Master, Silvia Waterborne is here.”

Addressing Silvia Waterborne was always a sensitive matter in the Peary Clan.

Upon hearing Silvia Waterborne’s name, Samuel Peary’s expression visibly eased, softening considerably. As if reminded of something, the corners of his mouth curved into a slight smile, and his face took on a surprisingly pleased look.

He nervously glanced at the door, his heart pounding, emotions surging within him. It was as if he was transported back several decades, to when he was just a naive young man utterly devoted to her.

Back then, Silvia Waterborne was considered a national goddess, and he had been so proud to have her.

After what felt like an eternity, Silvia Waterborne finally appeared at the door.

She wore a floor-length red dress that accentuated her curvaceous figure, her skin as smooth and white as silk.

Her youthful face stirred up envy, radiating an ethereal beauty under the light.

Silvia Waterborne was an enduring legend in the Entertainment Circle. One glance at her up close, and you could understand why she remained an unshakable presence.

”It’s rather lively here today.”

Silvia Waterborne walked in, glanced at Samuel Peary who was standing there, at a loss, and quickly shifted her gaze towards Evelyn Peary.

”If Evelyn hadn’t called me today, were you planning to marry off my daughter without my knowledge?”

Silvia Waterborne turned to Samuel Peary, her eyes filled with sarcasm.

”Si... Silvia...”

Samuel Peary finally found his voice. There was no TV screen separating them now; she was standing right in front of him.

She was still as stunning as ever, showing no signs of aging.

In contrast, he had aged.

”There’s no need to be so familiar. Our relationship is nowhere near as good as you imagine.”

Silvia Waterborne abruptly cut him off and sat down next to Evelyn Peary.

”I’m only here today to see who you’ve decided to marry my daughter to.”

From the sidelines, Phoebe Harris could hardly hold it in anymore. She hadn’t expected Silvia Waterborne to still be so defiant.

”You’re mistaken there,” Phoebe Harris retorted. ”Evelyn is a daughter of our Peary Clan. Naturally, the Peary Clan has the final say in her marriage.”
