Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 299: Chapter 298: I Won’t Even Spare You a Glance Once You’re Dead

Yancy Hastings didn’t bother with him anymore and looked down at Nia Mitchell.

”Let’s go.”

Although he also felt that such a plebeian woman was not worthy of Maxwell Peary, he had no choice. At least for now, she was the one Maxwell Peary cared for. As Maxwell Peary’s buddy, he naturally had to back him up.

Seeing Yancy Hastings about to leave, the men in black who had previously intercepted Nia Mitchell again surrounded them to stop their departure.

Seeing this, Yancy Hastings’ thin lips curved, and an intense, cold aura emanated from him.

Then... he lifted his foot.

BANG!

With a harsh, brutal kick, one of the men in black stumbled back several steps and fell, sliding almost a meter across the floor.

The man in black clutched his stomach, rolling on the ground, unable to get up.

This clearly demonstrated the power of Yancy Hastings’ kick.

”Samuel Peary, are you sure you want to fight me?”

Yancy Hastings, his domineering aura on full display, looked back at Samuel Peary after kicking another man away.

Samuel Peary faltered. Yancy Hastings is destined for a great future; I can’t afford to offend him right now. I’ll let Nia Mitchell off the hook today. There will be plenty of opportunities in the future.

”You may leave.”

After speaking, Samuel Peary turned and walked back inside without lingering.

Nia Mitchell finally breathed a sigh of relief. I didn’t expect Uncle Peary’s father to be so domineering, actually intending to send me away!

”What a troublesome woman. I don’t know what it is about you that has bewitched Maxwell,” Yancy Hastings muttered under his breath, taking long strides forward.

”Troublesome? If you think I’m so troublesome, you didn’t have to come!”

Nia Mitchell had suffered enough humiliation at Peary Manor today. Hearing Yancy Hastings’ disparaging comments made her feel even worse.

”You think I wanted to come?”

Yancy Hastings stopped in his tracks, rolling his eyes with disdain.

Logically, as a grown man, he shouldn’t bicker with a woman like this, but... For some reason, whenever he saw Nia Mitchell, especially when it concerned Maxwell Peary, he seemed to transform into a different person.

”Then why did you come?” Nia Mitchell finally caught up to him and also stopped.

”I only came because of Maxwell. Did you think it was for you?” Yancy Hastings said with a sneer, clearly disgusted by Nia Mitchell’s current attitude.

”Nia Mitchell, if it weren’t for Maxwell, I wouldn’t spare you a second glance even if you dropped dead right in front of me.”

The moment Yancy Hastings finished speaking, a military vehicle suddenly drove up, stopping between them.

”A car will be here to take you back soon.”

After saying this, Yancy Hastings got into the vehicle and sped off, leaving Nia Mitchell standing alone, completely bewildered.

Did he leave me here because he didn’t like what I said? It certainly seemed like it.

Nia Mitchell pouted. Not long after she got into the car that arrived for her, she received a call from Maxwell Peary.

”Uncle Peary, I’m on my way home now,” Nia Mitchell said quickly, afraid he might worry. She immediately got to the most important point.

”Mm, I know.”

Yancy Hastings already called and reported this. I’ve made a note of it this time. When the time comes, I’ll make Samuel Peary pay the price he deserves.

Hearing Maxwell Peary’s brief words over the phone, Nia Mitchell pouted again.

”Your trip to Provence... was it because...” Nia Mitchell hesitated, her words trailing off. Although she didn’t believe what those two at Peary Manor had said, the matter was stuck in her throat like a thorn.
