Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 283: Chapter 282: When Fiona Sutton Crosses Paths with Yancy Hastings (Extra Update)

Evelyn Peary was surprised. She did not expect to see Nia Mitchell here. But where was her older brother?

Exiting the driver’s seat of the Military Vehicle, Yancy Hastings handed his keys to the Waiter who ran over, instructing him to park the car.

”What are you looking at?”

Yancy Hastings hadn’t noticed Nia Mitchell until he followed Evelyn Peary’s gaze.

Ha! She claims she’s not some vain, materialistic woman. He still couldn’t understand how Maxwell Peary, a man who had seen through countless people, could fall for a woman like her. He had just received news that Maxwell Peary had gone to Provence. He was still on the plane and hadn’t reached his destination yet. Yet, this Nia Mitchell couldn’t wait to come and splurge in a place like this.

”Why don’t you go and say hello?”

He recalled that last time Evelyn Peary had sided with Nia Mitchell and advised him to get to know Nia better, so he might accept her. But having him associate with a woman like that was worse than making him run a weighted cross-country course in the military camp until he collapsed.

”It’s not convenient.”

Evelyn Peary was quick on the uptake. Ever since her sister-in-law had gone to Madgar Pavilion and, after greeting her, specifically asked Evelyn to pretend they didn’t know each other, Evelyn had understood the situation.

Her older brother hadn’t won Nia’s heart yet, huh? Otherwise, why would he be afraid of revealing his identity?

”Hmm?”

Yancy Hastings frowned, not quite grasping what Evelyn Peary meant.

Having spent years in the Military Camp with a bunch of rough men, he truly didn’t understand women’s minds.

”Let’s go.”

Evelyn Peary grinned at Yancy Hastings, punching him on the shoulder.

”Wow! How did you get your muscles like this? They’re like iron blocks; it hurts so much!”

Evelyn Peary rubbed her hand. Tsk, tsk, what was the point of building muscles like this?

Yancy Hastings was speechless.

”Wow, such a handsome soldier!”

Fiona Sutton didn’t have many hobbies, but she was obsessed with soldiers, almost to a fanatical degree.

In her eyes, probably eighty percent of men wearing Military Uniforms were handsome.

It couldn’t be denied, however, that Yancy Hastings was indeed a handsome man. The first time Nia Mitchell had seen him, she too had almost been smitten.

As luck would have it, Yancy Hastings heard Fiona Sutton’s exclamation.

He stopped abruptly, frowning at Fiona Sutton with a look of contempt.

”Uncultured,” he stated flatly.

Fiona Sutton choked. Damn it! Even if you’re a soldier, you have no right to curse at me!

”You’re the uncultured one! Your whole family is uncultured!” Fiona Sutton retorted immediately, ignoring Nia Mitchell’s attempts to hold her back.

Yancy Hastings had never been contradicted like this before. In the Military Camp, any troublemaker he reprimanded would become completely obedient, wouldn’t they?

”What did you say?”

Yancy Hastings’ expression turned grim. His unique, imposing aura, tinged with the intensity of a seasoned soldier, pressed down on Fiona Sutton and Nia Mitchell. Nia felt her breathing become somewhat labored and, afraid to meet his gaze, instinctively took a small step back.

Meeting those eyes, Fiona Sutton also felt a shiver run down her spine.

However, her innate stubbornness wouldn’t let her back down, her nails digging painfully into her palm.

”I said you’re uncultured!” Fiona Sutton roared, using her voice to boost her courage.

”Good.” Yancy Hastings curled his lip into a sneer. It had been a long time since someone had so brazenly provoked him. And today, it was a woman who...

”Do you dare tell me your name?”

Fiona Sutton craned her neck to look up at him, already complaining internally hundreds of times.

What’s the point of being so tall? My neck is freaking sore from looking up!

”Oh, this way of hitting on someone isn’t bad! Next, are you going to ask for my phone number, huh?”
