Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 279: Chapter 278: Accidentally discovered the truth (Extra update)

Nia Mitchell was utterly exasperated. Was this really necessary? What good is saying all this now? Everyone in the Office Room is now paying attention after your outburst.

Everyone was looking at the box in Nia Mitchell’s hand, curious about which phone could surprise Diana Hill so much.

”It was a gift from someone.”

Nia Mitchell spoke the truth. Judging from Diana Hill’s reaction, this phone must be expensive.

”Gifted to you!?”

Diana Hill was even more shocked. Who could afford such a gift? Um... Wait! Earlier, hadn’t Nia Mitchell entered the CEO Office with coffee in hand, only to come out with this box? Could it be... Was this phone gifted by CEO Peary? No wonder Phoebe Walker couldn’t handle Nia Mitchell. It seems Nia Mitchell’s backing isn’t just Alan’s Special Assistant, but also CEO Peary.

Diana Hill’s face abruptly changed, as if she’d discovered some earth-shattering secret.

Before Nia Mitchell could explain to Diana Hill, they heard a loud thud as the door closed. Phoebe Walker, her eyes red, had stormed out of Maxwell Peary’s office.

Everyone exchanged glances, somewhat baffled. Wasn’t Phoebe Walker acting high and mighty just a moment ago?

Not even a minute after Phoebe Walker had left, CRASH! The door to the CEO Office swung open again.

Maxwell held his phone in one hand and his suit jacket in the other, hurrying over.

He paused, casually opening the door to the Secretary Department.

”Cancel all my appointments for the next three days. Help me book the earliest flight to Provence.”

Having said that, Maxwell turned and left.

BUZZ! In an instant, the Office Room was as chaotic as a pot boiling over.

”The CEO is going to Provence? In such a rush, is he going on vacation?”

”It’s possible. Provence, such a romantic place.”

”Actually, CEO Peary goes to Provence every year, although he’s going a bit early this time.”

”I heard CEO Peary’s girlfriend is in Provence. Could it be that CEO Peary is... rushing off to meet his beloved?”

”Enough chatter, let’s book the flight quickly, or we’ll be packing our bags.”

”True, regardless of who CEO Peary’s girlfriend or future wife is, it doesn’t really concern us.”

”Yeah, it’s weird. Why isn’t Shirley here today? Usually, these tasks are hers.”

”Who knows. Alan didn’t show up either, right?”

One of the secretaries said this, and suddenly, the entire Secretary Department went quiet.

Alan Morgan is also not here. Could it be... Wasn’t Shirley at Phoebe Walker’s birthday banquet last Saturday, accompanying Alan Morgan?

Everyone started to speculate, afraid that they might accidentally guess the truth.

Nia Mitchell suddenly remembered. On Friday, Shirley had resigned and insisted that even if it wasn’t approved by her superiors, she would leave, even if she had to pay the breach-of-contract penalty.

Could it be, Shirley had actually resigned?

「In Villa #3 of Royal Bay Villa in Capital Town.」

Dappled sunlight filtered through, a gentle breeze caressed the courtyard, and the flowers and plants swayed gracefully under the blue sky and white clouds.

Beyond the cozy and comfortable Living Room on the first floor, within the Main Bedroom on the second floor, things were far from calm.

Alan Morgan forcefully pushed Shirley Grant down onto the bed, his body pressing down on hers, hands tightly gripping her struggling little hands.

”Alan, let go of me! We ended things a long time ago! We’ve cleared all our accounts!”

Shirley Grant growled, her eyes red with hatred.

Out of anger, Alan leaned over and forcefully kissed her crimson lips.

”It’s over? We’re even?”

”Well, Shirley Grant, did you think I would let bygones be bygones after all you’ve done?”
