Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 255: Chapter 254: Want to Love You Wholeheartedly (Extra Chapter)

Maxwell Peary said no more. He turned to look at Nia Mitchell, whose face was growing increasingly red, a smile tugging at the corners of his mouth.

”Why is your face so red?” Maxwell Peary asked knowingly, unable to resist teasing Rabina Mitchell.

Nia Mitchell, looking extremely nervous, quickly offered a remarkably inspired excuse: ”Because it’s stuffy in the car.”

Seeing her earnest reply, Maxwell couldn’t help but want to pat her little head. However, he was driving.

Just as the CEO was considering whether to pull over, give her a tender kiss, and shower her with affection, his phone rang.

Yancy Hastings? Maxwell frowned, puzzled. He was always the one to contact Yancy for tasks; Yancy had never proactively sought him out before.

”Hello?”

”Maxwell, where are you?”

”I’m out. What’s up?”

”Can you come over? I’m at the old mansion.”

Maxwell’s eyes narrowed. At the old mansion? It seemed like something important had come up. But what about Nia?

After hanging up, he glanced at Nia, her face still flushed. ”I have something to take care of. I’ll drop you off at Royal Bay Villa first.”

Maxwell felt a pang of regret. They so rarely had time off, and he had been looking forward to spending the day with her.

”No need. Just drop me off at the Supermarket.”

Nia was still fixated on her snacks. If I go back now, won’t I miss out on going to the Supermarket to buy them? No way! It took so much begging to get the CEO to agree. Who knows if he’ll forbid me from buying snacks next time?

Maxwell considered for a moment, then nodded. ”What will you do after you’re done at the Supermarket? The driver has the day off today.”

”Don’t worry about it. I can take a taxi home. If you’re not back by noon, I’ll have lunch with Fiona Sutton.” Nia had meticulously planned her time and informed the CEO in advance.

Maxwell nodded. ”Call me when you’re ready to go home, okay?” He was a little uneasy about leaving Nia Mitchell on her own. She seems to be a trouble magnet; bad things just tend to happen wherever she goes.

”I know,” Nia replied, nodding obediently, a docile smile on her face.

Maxwell certainly knew what she was thinking. She’s probably just itching for me to leave quickly so she can do as she pleases.

”Let me tell you beforehand, buy fewer snacks. If you buy too many, I’ll just throw them out. Did you hear me?”

”I heard you. I’ll buy just a little,” Nia readily agreed. However, after a few seconds, she lifted her head to look at Maxwell Peary.

”Uncle, if I buy too much and you throw them away, isn’t that a waste of money? I can eat them over a longer period, then I won’t have to go out to buy more next time, right?”

So, the amount isn’t really an issue at all; I can buy whatever I want!

Maxwell was speechless against her logic. She always had a retort for whatever he said; whether she actually listened was another matter entirely.

”Alright. When you bring them back, I’ll make a plan for you. If you eat more than you’re supposed to, I’ll throw all your snacks away immediately and ban you from eating any for a month.”

Maxwell had certainly seen over the past few days just how much Rabina Mitchell loved her snacks. Goodness, she practically wanted to make those snacks her three square meals a day, eating her fill of them!

”Okay, it’s your money, so I’ll listen to you,” Nia said with a long sigh.

The moment the car stopped in front of the Supermarket, Nia scrambled out as if escaping.
