Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 256: Chapter 255: Your skinny, weak little body

Upon entering the supermarket, Nia Mitchell immediately called Fiona Sutton.

”Well, look who remembered me.”

Fiona had just gotten out of bed not long ago, sitting barefoot in her dormitory, eating instant noodles.

”I’m shopping at the supermarket. Want to come?”

Fiona smacked her lips, slurping down a large mouthful of noodles.

”Your snack addiction is acting up again, huh? I’m surprised you still have money to buy luxuries like snacks. Be honest, are you asking me to foot the bill?”

After finishing the last bite, Fiona shoved the instant noodle cup aside and wiped her mouth with a napkin.

Nia stuck her tongue out. Alright, she *had* indeed done that before. Fiona was clearly still wary after that incident.

”No, of course not. Besides, knowing your spendthrift habits, how much could you have possibly saved from your trip to the USA?”

Fiona turned to look at the instant noodle cup, tears welling in her eyes.

”Nia, I’ve just realized something incredibly tragic.”

Nia raised an eyebrow and pushed a shopping cart farther into the supermarket.

”What is it?”

”It’s only when I’m this broke that I realize a single cup of instant noodles isn’t enough to fill me up.”

Fiona wailed. This is such a tragic story. She felt like she could eat an entire cow.

Nia suddenly burst out laughing. Is this the first time Fiona’s realizing how big her appetite is?

”Come on, it’s almost noon. You’re not just having breakfast now, are you?”

”Duh, I’m still adjusting to the jet lag.”

Yeah, right. Just admit you’re lazy.

”I’m treating you to a big meal. Want to come?”

”If you’re paying, I’ll go. If you expect me to pay, then don’t even bother asking.”

”I’m paying! Hurry up and come over. I’m at the supermarket on Tongfu Avenue.”

”Alright, I’ll be there in half an hour.”

After hanging up, Nia headed straight to the book section, casually grabbing a book to kill some time.

「Thirty minutes later, Fiona arrived right on time.」

”Girl, did you strike it rich or something?” That was the first thing Fiona said when she arrived.

”Yeah, I struck it rich and immediately thought of giving you a taste of the good life! Aren’t you thrilled?”

Fiona nodded. Of course, she was ecstatic.

”Haha, let’s go! Get double of all the snacks you want to buy; I’m taking them all!”

Nia’s lips twitched. She’s really not holding back. Knowing Fiona’s penchant for hoarding, she’ll definitely get a ton.

”By the way, do you have a job yet? I only realized after coming back that finding a job in Capital Town is even harder than finding a boyfriend.”

”I’ve got a job. Still as a secretary.”

Fiona looked at Nia incredulously. What the heck? How did she find a job so quickly?

”Which company was desperate enough to take a menace like you?”

”If I tell you, you’ll probably die of shock. It’s the company Professor Lee from university was always going on about.”

Fiona yelled in shock, unable to believe it. ”No freakin’ way! MC Group?! Are you serious?!” The entry bar for MC Group is insanely high! Even people returning from studying abroad have to pull a lot of strings to get in. University A wasn’t exactly a top-tier school, and Nia was in the Chinese Department. How on earth did she just waltz in and even land a secretary position?

”Nia, be honest with me. Did you get a sugar daddy?” Fiona wore an expression of sorrow, like a jilted lover.

Nia felt three large drops of cold sweat trickle down her forehead, and her lips twitched.

”But wait, you’re so plain. Even if you stripped naked and gift-wrapped yourself onto someone’s bed, they might not even want you.”
