Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 216: Chapter 215: Attending the Birthday Party

Just two minutes before arriving at the Royal Dynasty Hotel, Nia Mitchell remembered that the CEO hadn’t answered her earlier question at all.

He’s so formally dressed in a suit—what’s he planning to do?Dressed like that, he’s definitely going out.

”Miss, we’ve arrived.”

As per Nia Mitchell’s request, the driver parked the car around a corner, a hundred meters from the Royal Dynasty Hotel.

”Alright, you can head back first. When I’m done, I’ll call you in advance. Wait for me here then.”

The driver nodded. Watching Nia Mitchell’s retreating figure, he didn’t leave immediately but instead pulled out his phone to make a call.

”Young Master, the Young Miss has gone inside.”

Maxwell Peary was still seated in his car, an unlit cigarette dangling from his lips.

”Alright, you can head back first. Miss Mitchell will be riding with me tonight.”

”Understood.”

After ending the call, a faint smile touched Maxwell Peary’s lips.

What expression will Rabina Mitchell have when I show up later? Why am I so eager to see her reaction?

「At the Royal Dynasty Hotel—」

Nia Mitchell took a deep breath, a practiced smile on her face. She rarely wore high heels, but today, for the sake of her gown, she had donned a pair of ten-centimeter heels.

The Royal Dynasty Hotel was as brilliantly illuminated and magnificent as ever. Nia Mitchell pushed aside the unpleasant memories she had of this place and walked straight through the Grand Gate.

”Hello, please present your invitation.”

Several hostesses stood at the entrance to the Private Booth. Nia Mitchell reached into her bag, took out her invitation, and handed it over.

”Certainly, Ms. Mitchell. This way, please.”

Nia Mitchell nodded and stepped inside.

She had expected to see Phoebe Walker first, but to her utter surprise, it was Diana Hill.

”Nia Mitchell, over here!”

Diana Hill waved. She didn’t know anyone else there, so ever since arriving, she had picked a corner near the Grand Gate and had been watching intently, just waiting for Nia Mitchell.

Nia Mitchell looked in the direction of the voice. Diana Hill was also wearing a sky-blue evening gown today, which looked to be of good quality even from a distance.

”You’re finally here! I’ve been waiting for you for ages.”

Diana Hill breathed a sigh of relief upon seeing Nia Mitchell. So this is what the life of the rich is like, she thought. Look at this birthday banquet—there must be close to a thousand guests.

”I had to go back to the School this afternoon, so I got delayed. I was worried I’d be late.”

Nia Mitchell stuck her tongue out playfully, then picked up a glass of red Wine and joined Diana Hill to one side.

”I arrived quite a while ago, but I still haven’t seen Phoebe Walker. I suppose she’s too busy to deal with us.”

Diana Hill smiled, relieved by this. She really didn’t want to end up in an embarrassing situation at an event like this.

If I made a fool of myself, my colleagues in the Secretary Department would probably laugh at me for ages.

”I think so too. Look at how many people are here,” Nia Mitchell said.

Nia Mitchell was also astonished by the scene. For her engagement to Hendry Hampton, they had only invited about seven or eight hundred guests. Yet for Phoebe Walker’s birthday, over a thousand people were in attendance. Moreover, from their attire and conversation, it was clear that the guests hailed from distinguished families.

”Yeah, rich people really are different. We often forget our own birthdays—though that’s pretty common for us. But look at this extravagance for her!” Diana Hill remarked.

She just had the good fortune to be born into the right family, Diana thought. It’s true what they say: comparisons are infuriating.

”By the way, you’ve been at the Company for a while now. Do you have any idea what Phoebe Walker’s actual status is?”
