Flash Marriage: Pampered by Mr.Bigshot

Chapter 202: Chapter 201: Are You Trying to Seduce Me Again?

”Just wait for me a little longer; I’ll be done soon.”

Maxwell Peary apologized and then resumed his tasks.

The large Office Room was filled only with the rustling of a pen on paper.

Nia Mitchell rested her cheek on her hand, lounging on the couch as she observed Maxwell, who sat not far away.

She had never truly observed him before. This was the first time she realized how long his eyelashes were, how expressive his eyes were.Although his face was usually stern, without a hint of a smile, the corners of his mouth were always slightly upturned.Coupled with his perfect, resolute face, how could he not capture hearts? No wonder the little vixens in the Secretary Department always became so elated upon seeing the CEO; they practically wanted to cling to him.

”Have you seen enough?”

Maxwell’s hand never stopped writing, but he could feel her gaze constantly on him. Just her watching him like this made his heart stir, and he found himself restlessly wanting to look over at her.He constantly resisted this urge, feigning composure, his brow furrowing slightly.

Nia bit her lip, unsure how to answer Maxwell’s question.

”I’m not done looking.”

As if possessed, those three words tumbled out.Only after her words slipped out did she realize what she had said, wishing she could bite her tongue off.

”Well then, what am I supposed to do if I can’t get enough of looking at you either?”

Maxwell could no longer hold back; he lifted his head to look at her.

As his gaze met hers, his body stiffened. He couldn’t help wanting to go over to her, to pull her sweet, soft body into his arms.

Nia lay on the couch, her small feet wiggling, a wide smile on her face.

Since she’d already said it, she decided she might as well continue to gaze at him openly.

”Nia, are you trying to seduce me?”

Her direct gaze made him begin to lose his composure.

Nia pouted, slowly shaking her head.

She would never seduce anyone; that was something scheming women did.She was so well-behaved; how could she possibly seduce anyone?

”Maxwell, hurry up with your work. We need to go home.”

She pouted, the smile vanishing from her small face.

Maxwell sighed, resignedly returning to his work.

”You really don’t know how to sit properly! Honestly, who else do you see behaving so improperly?”

He had realized that Rabina Mitchell, whenever she sat on the couch, would take off her shoes. Then she would put her feet up on the couch—either lying down or crossing her legs—just never sitting properly.

”I’m not sitting down at all, so how can you say I’m not sitting properly?”

Nia protested. She was, in fact, lying down.

It’s so comfortable this way, and this couch in Maxwell’s Office Room is perfect for reclining.

”You always have your reasons.”

Maxwell neatly set aside the documents he had finished and picked up another file.

”Maxwell, when will you finish your work?”

Only a few minutes had passed, but Nia already felt bored; lying on the couch like this was no fun at all.She couldn’t chat with Maxwell, or she would interrupt his work.No television to watch, no computer to play with. Her phone was also about to die, so she couldn’t use it to pass the time either.

”Maxwell, please tell me, how much longer do you need?”

Nia had already shifted her lounging position a hundred times. Finally, unable to lie still any longer, she sat up cross-legged.
