Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 290: Chapter 289 Start of the PK

Upon hearing the judge announce that the Postnatal Mid-Stage PK Ranking’s number five, the formidable soldier of Daqin, would be facing off against the nondescript Black Bat on the platform, all the disciples surrounding the second arena, whether male or female, focused their attention on the stage.

Not only that, but many disciples under the other arenas were also drawn to look this way, buzzing with discussion.

Obviously, an unknown nobody daring to challenge a top ten expert on the PK Ranking list was sensational enough, but even more shocking to everyone was that this top ten expert actually accepted the challenge.

Listeng to all sorts of discussions around him, Ye Haochuan stood amongst the crowd, undisturbed and without sorrow or joy in his heart.

Before stepping onto the platform, he had already calculated his strategy, according to the information about the ”Daqin small soldier” provided by An Li. This opponent was carrying a good number of treasures, whether for attack or defense, and the lowest was of superior quality.

Therefore, relying on his own brute strength, it would be difficult to shake this opponent.

Of course, it wouldn’t be easy for his opponent to break through his defense either, after all, the Golden Silk Soft Armor he wore was a Magic Artifact!

However, with an equal level of Cultivation, the only chance he had to win was to use the Ice Soul Sword, which would enhance his overall combat power, thus breaking through his opponent’s defense and defeating him in one fell swoop.

Ascending the platform, Ye Haochuan noticed that his opponent had not yet arrived, so he closed his eyes to rest, ignoring the noisy surroundings.

At that moment, at the base of the arena, Guan Qiang was giving Qin Wei a multitude of earnest reminders.

”Junior Brother Qin, it’s important to vent on my behalf, but that kid seems a bit tricky, so be extra careful.”

”Don’t worry, Senior Brother Guan, with me here, you can bet that kid won’t stir up any big waves,” Qin Wei said with a casual smile on his face, emanating confidence.

Seeing that he still seemed unconcerned, Guan Qiang frowned and said, ”Junior Brother Qin, don’t be careless. If that kid has the guts to try this stunt, he must have something up his sleeve. It’s always good to be cautious.”

”What of it? If I, ranked number five, were to lose, we still have Senior Sister Huo, who is ranked first. As long as this guy dares to come to PK after today, we’ll just let Senior Sister Huo crush him!” Qin Wei snorted.

”That’s true,” Guan Qiang agreed, nodding with a smile curling on his lips. Suddenly reminded of something, he turned to Huanzi and instructed, ”Quick, make a phone call and ask whether Junior Sister Huo is coming tonight.”

Huanzi acknowledged and immediately went to make contact.

Only then did Guan Qiang urge Qin Wei, ”Alright, Junior Brother Qin, go on up.”

Qin Wei nodded, not bothering to take the stairs, instead coolly leaping onto the stage, using the Dragon Flight and Tiger Step technique as well.

Suddenly, a deafening chorus of shouts erupted from under the second arena, especially from the female disciples infatuated with Qin Wei, known by the alias ”Daqin small soldier,” whose cries were impassioned and ecstatic.

At this moment, Qin Wei was akin to a superstar of the secular world, exceptionally conspicuous and dazzling.

At this time, Ye Haochuan also opened his eyes, his calm gaze falling upon the opponent’s face, meeting Qin Wei’s oppressively sharp gaze exactly.

And Qin Wei, a cold smirk curling at the corner of his mouth, waved his fists in a provocative gesture.

Ye Haochuan directly ignored his foolish action, appearing unfathomable.

Before long, Qin Wei had advanced to stand directly opposite him, swept a disdainful glance at Ye Haochuan, and snorted, ”You’ve got some nerve, daring to directly challenge me. Fine, today I’ll spar with you. If I happen to hit too hard, just consider it bad luck.”

He spoke with ease, but his expression was utterly cold.

Unintimidated, Ye Haochuan let out a cold chuckle. Spar, with your self-righteous fool’s look, you’re fit to spar with me?

”Good luck to you,” Ye Haochuan said, not caring to waste more words.

Qin Wei’s brow furrowed; he had never encountered such an opponent before.

At this moment, a referee with impressive strength, who seemed like an Innate Expert, stepped up and recited the PK (player kill) rules as was customary.

According to the referee, the PK rules here were similar to those of boxing matches in the secular world, but more liberal. Even if it was bloody and violent, as long as it wasn’t excessive, it was permitted.

Because the arena was equipped with medical practitioners of the Innate Realm, with their support, everything was no problem.

Of course, the cost of medical care would have to be borne by the disciples participating in the PK.

”Has everyone clearly understood the rules?” the referee looked at Ye Haochuan and Qin Wei in turn.

”Understood,” Ye Haochuan and Qin Wei replied in unison.

Only then did the referee call out loudly, ”Black Bat versus Great Qin Foot Soldier, begin the PK!”

However, neither side took the initiative to attack immediately.

To Qin Wei, as the challenged party, he should maintain the posture of being challenged—it should be Ye Haochuan, the challenger, to attack first, right?

But Ye Haochuan didn’t show any awareness of being a challenger, standing still and just looking at him with eyes full of mockery.

This seriously irritated Qin Wei, who said, ”Black Bat, you’re not turned into a dead bat, have you? Won’t you make a move? Please, you are the challenger, don’t you have a bit of awareness?”

”Great Qin Foot Soldier, losing your cool so soon?” Ye Haochuan chuckled.

Qin Wei was speechless and said, ”Damn it, I’m unlucky to be up against an opponent like you!”

Then, with a loud cry, he summoned, ”Black Bat, be aware!”

Suddenly, with a gesture, a silver longsword appeared in his hand.

This silver longsword, winding and bending like a slithering snake, its edge was incredibly sharp, and the blade itself emitted a daunting chill—this was his signature weapon, the Superior Talisman Instrument, Silver Snake Sword!

Immediately after, his whole body’s aura erupted, a faint green light flickered all over him, with streams of True Qi spiraling rhythmically.

And as he infused True Qi into the Silver Snake Sword, the sword seemed to come alive, wriggling like a venomous snake nonstop.

Ye Haochuan’s heart tightened, as expected of a Superior Talisman Instrument, he needed to be careful.

This thought had just flashed through his mind when Qin Wei threw up his hand, and the Silver Snake Sword suddenly elongated, whooshing forward and transforming into a tricky Silver Snake flying towards Ye Haochuan.

Shit, this Silver Snake Sword is formidable!

Ye Haochuan didn’t dare to be careless, but he didn’t immediately bring out the Ice Soul Sword because he had this rare opportunity for a good PK to improve his combat strategies and techniques. He was focused on the PK process, rather than the result.

Moreover, relying too much on weapons and equipment to enhance combat power wasn’t a good thing.

From the memories passed down to him by the Holy Hand, there were numerous instances in the Martial Arts Path Realm where the weak overcame the strong; combat strategies and techniques played a significant factor.

Therefore, for Ye Haochuan, this arena PK was a great opportunity to gain experience. Unless absolutely necessary, he wouldn’t easily reveal his Ice Soul Sword.

Seeing the Silver Snake about to pounce, Ye Haochuan unhesitatingly performed the Dragon Flight and Tiger Step to dodge.

However, the Silver Snake seemed to have eyes of its own, stubbornly pursuing him.
