Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 263: Chapter 263 Inspector

Hearing a sinister-sounding voice behind him, Ye Haochuan jumped in fright and turned around to see that it was Uncle Fu!

”Seriously, Uncle Fu, can’t you make some noise when you walk? You nearly scared me to death just now!” Ye Haochuan said with annoyance.

Uncle Fu grinned, revealing his yellow teeth, and said, ”The old master wants you to visit him.”

”Oh.”

Ye Haochuan acknowledged and was about to go see Elder Xiao when he suddenly remembered something. ”By the way, Uncle Fu, wasn’t Hao Wentong captured by us? Where is he now?”

”Executed,” Uncle Fu said indifferently.

Executed?

Seeing Uncle Fu’s casual demeanor, Ye Haochuan felt a chill run down his spine. ”Uncle Fu, I know you’re from the Ancient Martial Arts Sect just like me, but that’s quite bold of you. Aren’t you afraid superiors will hold you responsible?”

”What’s there to be blamed for? I, your Uncle Fu, am the Inspector for our sect in the Haishan area. I have the authority to oversee disciples who commit crimes against the sect. Those three, including Hao Wentong, violated the sect rules and caused trouble in the secular world with clear evidence. The Law Enforcement Elder commanded their immediate execution!”

Damn, this Uncle Fu, seemingly so unremarkable and rustic, turned out to be an Inspector!

Ye Haochuan immediately treated him with respect.

Suddenly, he recalled that he had killed a fellow sect disciple, Ling Xiaotian, and gasped, feeling a coldness around his neck. Shit, this matter better not come to his knowledge, or there would be trouble!

As if seeing through his thoughts, Uncle Fu smiled enigmatically. ”Son-in-law Sun, there’s no need to worry. That Ling Xiaotian, wielding the Ice Soul Sword, had no regard for brotherhood among sect members and wantonly harmed his sect mates. I had long intended to eliminate such a scourge. Since you’ve killed him, you’ve actually done me a great favor.”

Ye Haochuan’s face turned pale as he said, ”Uncle Fu, you...”

He intended to defend himself, but upon seeing Uncle Fu’s inscrutable appearance, the words he wanted to say were swallowed back.

”Son-in-law Sun, if you don’t want others to know, then you shouldn’t do it. Do you think you covered your tracks perfectly?” Uncle Fu shook his head with a smile. ”Little did you know, that night, I was planning to execute Ling Xiaotian myself. It was just unexpected that you appeared. If it weren’t for the fact that I already knew of your relationship with Miss Sun, you might have...”

Only then did Ye Haochuan understand, but he thought, if he had that kind of relationship with Xiao Haimei, he likely would have lost his head as well.

Feeling his neck and finding it still attached, he breathed a sigh of relief.

”Additionally, I should tell you something. The investigation the Law Enforcement Elder tasked me with regarding you, I’ve concluded it as well. The Sun father and son indeed conspired with Hellfire, so you will not face any punishment.”

Ye Haochuan was incredibly surprised, for he hadn’t expected the investigation to fall on him.

However, with such an outcome, he could finally be at ease and no longer had to live in fear.

”But still, you must be more thoughtful before acting in the future. You were only lucky to run into me. If it had been another Inspector, they might not have shown you such favoritism,” Uncle Fu warned.

”Yes, yes, you are absolutely right, Uncle Fu. I hope to have more opportunities in the future to bathe in the sunshine and raindrops of your wisdom and to listen more to your teachings, so that this sapling may grow healthy and strong,” he said, his face all smiles.

Ye Haochuan’s face was full of smiles, realizing that this seemingly inconspicuous gardener was actually a dignified Inspector; naturally, he wanted to ingratiate himself in every possible way.

”Ha ha, I’ve long heard about the prowess of your smooth talk, and today I’ve truly experienced it,” Uncle Fu laughed heartily.

Seeing that he had made Uncle Fu so happy, Ye Haochuan secretly wiped the cold sweat from his forehead, when suddenly, a thought struck him. With such abilities, why would Uncle Fu be willing to work in the Xiao family mansion as a mere gardener? That was such an underuse of his talent.

Thinking this, he immediately shared his thoughts with Uncle Fu.

”In life, one should be grateful. Back when I was young, if the old master hadn’t taken me under his wing and introduced me to the Martial Arts Path Realm, I would probably still be a helpless little beggar to this day...”

No wonder...

Ye Haochuan nodded, feeling that Uncle Fu’s illustrious image had grown even taller once again.

”Afterwards, when the old master’s Foundation Establishment failed and his cultivation was destroyed overnight, I had just entered the Postnatal Early Stage. The main reason I chose to become a flower farmer was to free up time for cultivation, to protect the old master and his family from being bullied.”

So that’s how it was!

Ye Haochuan felt he finally understood the situation completely. With a thought, he said, ”Uncle Fu, I am grateful for your protective heart towards me, Ye Haochuan. Rest assured, once I become successful, I will definitely repay you well.”

”Haha!” Uncle Fu laughed heartily again, ”Good boy, Uncle Fu didn’t misjudge you, but as long as you treat Miss Sun well, Uncle Fu will be happy.”

”Definitely, definitely...” Ye Haochuan hastily agreed.

As they joked, the two arrived downstairs where Elder Xiao was sitting majestically on the sofa in the living room, radiating an imposing aura even without anger.

Ye Haochuan casually glanced over and saw that the bloodstains on the floor had already been cleaned up by the Xiao Family’s servants, but a faint scent of blood still lingered in the air.

Seeing Ye Haochuan approaching, Elder Xiao’s stern face managed to squeeze out a smile. He beckoned and said, ”Haochuan, come here, come to grandfather.”

Ye Haochuan immediately walked over.

Meanwhile, Uncle Fu had left through the back door, probably to tend to his flowers and plants.

When Ye Haochuan got close, he hurriedly asked what was the matter.

”Sigh.” Elder Xiao sighed, ”Haochuan, your grandfather can see that you are a talented individual with considerable assets. At first, when you were with Haimie, I wasn’t too worried, but now...”

Seeing him heave sighs of dejection, Ye Haochuan quickly realized what he meant and said, ”Elder Xiao, you’re talking about the asset drain and transfer issue with the Xiao Group, aren’t you?”

Elder Xiao nodded, ”I just called the lawyers to consult, and this case is very difficult to handle. It’s going to be extremely challenging to recover our assets. Now, even this house I live in has become someone else’s property... sigh, how did I, Xiao Jian, give birth to such a treacherous and thankless son!”

After speaking, he sighed deeply, his expression revealing his despondence.

Ye Haochuan was also quite furious and said, ”Elder Xiao, please try not to get angry anymore. Rest assured, whenever I see that guy, I will beat him up for you, and vent your frustration.”

Elder Xiao smiled wryly and shook his head, saying, ”Alright, don’t make such chilly remarks, my boy. I called you over to ask you, now that the Xiao Family has completely collapsed and only Haishan University is left, what do you and Haimie plan to do?”

”What else can we do? Of course, support Sister Mei to help the Xiao Family rise again,” Ye Haochuan replied without hesitation.

Elder Xiao became excited, ”You...you’re really willing to help Haimie make our Xiao Family rise again?”

Ye Haochuan nodded, ”Of course, she’s my fiancée. If I don’t help her, who will?”

As he spoke, he added to himself, what a pity it would be to give up such a hot beauty. Besides, I don’t care about these things, money comes and goes, right? If necessary, I’ll just refine some more Body-Strengthening Pills and make a fortune.”

”Good, good, good.” Elder Xiao nodded repeatedly, ”I really didn’t misjudge you.”

The grandfather and grandson chatted for a while longer when suddenly, a servant hurriedly reported that someone from the bank had arrived.

”The bank?”

Ye Haochuan’s eyebrows raised, what could the bank want at this time? Perhaps seeing that the Xiao Family was about to fall, they had come to kick them while they were down?
