Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 265: Chapter 265: I Will Only Give You One Chance

Looking at Su La’s nervous appearance, Ye Haochuan chuckled, ”Don’t forget, I am a doctor. Although I’m just a school medic, I could tell that you have cancer. You should know that I’m certainly no quack.”

By this time, Su La had managed to calm herself down and said, ”You claim that I have terminal cancer, how did you know that? Did you investigate me?”

Investigate you? Why would I investigate you? You’re not exactly a beauty, just a woman past her prime!

Ye Haochuan shook his head, disdaining, ”I didn’t even know who you were before, so how could I have investigated you? If you don’t believe me, that’s fine. However, I must remind you that you have breast cancer, and the cancer cells have already spread to some important organs. If you don’t get treatment soon, I fear the condition will worsen and no one will be able to cure it.”

Su La’s expression changed again. Only her family knew about her breast cancer; even her superiors and colleagues were unaware. How did Ye Haochuan manage to see it?

”How... How did you know? Did my family tell you?” Su La’s face went pale as she spoke.

Ye Haochuan replied lightly, ”I practice Traditional Chinese Medicine, which emphasizes visual inspection, listening, questioning, and pulse taking. I could see your illness with just a glance, so why would I need your family to tell me?”

”Ah!” Su La was incredulous.

In her opinion, Traditional Chinese Medicine did involve visual inspection, listening, questioning, and pulse taking, but diagnosing cancer with just a glance, like Ye Haochuan did, seemed far-fetched.

Moreover, if Traditional Chinese Medicine was really that powerful, how could it have declined to the point where it’s far less valued than Western medicine?

Ye Haochuan saw through her thoughts and let out a profound chuckle, ”Do your breasts ache faintly right now? And is it that twisting kind of pain?”

Su La’s complexion changed drastically, ”How... How do you know everything?”

”Now, do you still doubt what I’m saying?” Ye Haochuan asked with a half-smile, ”I just want to tell you one thing, cancer is child’s play to me. I could easily cure it completely. If you still don’t believe me, I can relieve your breast pain within half an hour.”

”Really?” Su La became excited.

Ever since she found out she had late-stage breast cancer, she had gone through initial despair and then, encouraged and supported by her family, she chose to live her remaining time to the fullest and even willingly gave up chemotherapy to make the most out of her last days.

Thus, when the upper levels of the bank learned that the Xiao Family was about to collapse, they accepted her request to collect the debt personally, to realize the last bit of value in her life.

From her professional standpoint, this was not objectionable, but to Ye Haochuan, it felt inconsiderate.

The Xiao Family had just suffered a great crisis, and her rushing to collect debts seemed too hasty, not even allowing them a period of respite!

”If you don’t believe me, then just pretend I never said anything,” Ye Haochuan said indifferently.

Su La hesitated.

At that moment, a male assistant stood up and said sharply, ”Cancer is a challenge that has yet to be conquered by medical experts around the world. You casually claim that cancer is child’s play and that you can cure it completely with little effort. Are you kidding me?”

Ye Haochuan sneered, ”Indeed, I am fooling someone, and it happens to be you, the fool. You’ve just had an appendectomy, haven’t you?”

”How... How did you know?” The male assistant was dumbfounded.

The assistant could understand if Ye Haochuan had looked into his boss Su La, but he himself had no acquaintance with him. How could he possibly have investigated? Could it be that he really had a profound medical expertise?

However, thinking about what he said, that to him, cancer seemed to be child’s play and could be easily cured completely, he couldn’t believe it.

”So what if I’ve had an appendectomy? You can cure cancer? Don’t joke!” the male assistant huffed.

Ye Haochuan couldn’t be bothered with him and glanced at Su La, saying softly, ”It’s up to you. I’m only giving you one chance.”

Su La still hesitated.

At this time, the always silent Old Master Xiao grunted heavily, ”This girl, encountering my grandson-in-law is your good fortune. Let me tell you, this old man was as good as dead just now. If he hadn’t stepped in, how would I be so lively in front of you?”

”What? You’re saying he saved Old Master Xiao’s life?” Su La couldn’t believe it.

The male assistant also had an odd expression on his face.

Before coming here, the two of them had already heard the news that Old Master Xiao had come back to life, but at the time, they just considered it a rumor and didn’t think much of it. Now hearing Old Master Xiao confirm it himself, there was no doubt that the news was true.

So, upon hearing that Ye Haochuan had saved him, both of their expressions were naturally one of surprise since Ye Haochuan was so young.

”Do you think an old man like me would lie to you?” Old Master Xiao was irritated, remembering her aggressive attitude just moments before and his tone couldn’t help but become a bit harsher.

After hesitating for a while, Su La gritted her teeth and looked at Ye Haochuan: ”Alright, Doctor Ye, no matter what, for the sake of my family and myself, I will give it a try. As for the Xiao Family’s debt, I will report back to the upper-level leaders after I return and try to get an extension on the deadline.”

Since there was a hope of living, it was only natural for her to return the favor.

”That’s more like it!” Seeing that his goal had been achieved, Ye Haochuan decided to quit while he was ahead.

”Then, thank you, Doctor Ye,” Su La was extremely grateful, ”So... when will you take a look at me, Doctor Ye?”

”How about now.”

Ye Haochuan knew that unless he showed some skills, he probably wouldn’t be able to relieve her doubts, so he suggested doing it right away.

Su La, too, wanted to verify his medical skills and readily agreed.

Ye Haochuan then asked her to go to a bedroom upstairs where he would examine and treat her himself.

At this moment, the male assistant behind Su La intervened again: ”Manager Su, don’t be fooled by this kid; how could someone so young possibly cure cancer? Alright, even if he had such ability, we should at least ask about his methods of treatment, right?”

Su La began to hesitate once more.

Ye Haochuan’s face darkened, and he pointed in the air, performing Acupoint Tapping on the assistant, who immediately became immobile yet could still speak. He exclaimed in shock, ”I... why can’t I move?”

”Do you still doubt my son-in-law now?” Old Master Xiao said with a roll of his eyelids.

Only then did the male assistant realize he had encountered an expert and hastily begged for mercy and softened his stance.

Ye Haochuan then released his acupoint and admonished, ”Remember my words, appearances can be deceiving, the sea cannot be measured. Considering your ignorance, I won’t make things difficult for you today.”

The male assistant didn’t dare to be arrogant any longer and nodded continuously in agreement.

”Let’s go,” Ye Haochuan then gave Su La a look and went upstairs.

Seeing Ye Haochuan’s Acupoint Tapping technique had already made Su La believe him largely, she quickly excused herself to Old Master Xiao and hurried to follow.

Old Master Xiao called in a maid and asked her to show the way to the two of them.

Following the maid upstairs to a bedroom, Ye Haochuan closed the door and asked Su La to take off her uniform to facilitate the needle application.

”Take off my clothes?” Su La was stunned for a moment.

If you don’t take off your clothes, how can I treat you?

Ye Haochuan was speechless.
