Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 264: Chapter 264 Ptooey!

Soon, the people sent by the bank were invited in, dressed in bank uniforms, one male and one female.

However, the woman walked in front, clearly, she held a higher position than the man behind her.

This woman, in her forties, wore heavy makeup and gold-rimmed glasses, her hair was styled up high, her demeanor relaxed, her steps light, clearly a woman of extreme confidence.

In fact, the man behind her was her assistant.

As soon as Ye Haochuan’s gaze fell on her face, he immediately realized that this woman was not easy to deal with, and was quite aggressive.

”Elder Xiao, hello.” The woman said as she took a seat without waiting for Old Master Xiao’s permission, her voice cold.

Ye Haochuan frowned slightly, sensing trouble with the woman’s aggressive approach.

”I am Su La, manager of Haishan branch of Huaxia Minsheng Bank, Elder Xiao, you can call me Manager Su. I am here today because our bank has just received information provided by someone stating that Xiao Group is mismanaged and is suffering significant losses. After our bank’s verification, we found this to be true. Thus, I am here today to request that Elder Xiao repay a debt of thirty billion within half a month, or else, the bank will take legal measures, using your current assets as collateral, including Haishan University owned by your granddaughter, Miss Xiao Haimei.”

As she finished her relentless speech, Ye Haochuan was puzzled about who provided this information to Huaxia Minsheng Bank.

Instinctively, he thought of two people, either Xiao Feng or Yang Xue.

If it was one of these two, the likelihood of it being Yang Xue was higher, as she bore the deepest grudge against Old Master Xiao.

Of course, it could also be someone who stood in opposition to Old Master Xiao, particularly a business competitor of Xiao Group.

Unwillingly, Ye Haochuan thought of someone, but considering the person’s upright nature, it seemed unlikely that they would kick someone while they were down, which made him hesitate.

At this moment, Old Master Xiao’s face was stern, his eyebrows twitched, and his lips twitched uncontrollably, clearly suppressing rage.

”Here is the notification letter from our bank, Elder Xiao, you might want to have a look,” said Su La as she placed a letter on the coffee table and pushed it toward Old Master Xiao.

”All right, I’ve understood, you can leave now,” Old Master Xiao said, waving his hand without even looking at it.

Su La and her assistant then stood up to leave.

However, just as they were about to leave, Su La coldly added, ”Oh, Elder Xiao, I forgot to mention, this property was mortgaged to our bank by your son three months ago and is now an asset of our bank. It would be best if you moved out within a day.”

”Beast, this beast!” Old Master Xiao cursed fiercely in rage.

Ye Haochuan knew he was cursing his son Xiao Feng. After consoling him briefly, he finally managed to calm his rage.

Then, Old Master Xiao turned his gaze to Su La, his expression unfriendly, ”I am really surprised. This property is in my name personally; how could my son mortgage it to you? What right did he have to mortgage it? How did your bank verify this? Why didn’t you make a phone call to confirm with me, to verify my intentions?”

”This...”

Su La hesitated for a moment, then sat back down. However, clearly a skilled negotiator, she soon found a reason to argue back.

”Elder Xiao, I admit there was negligence on the part of our bank, but according to current Huaxia law, given your age of seventy, and the diminished capacity for personal autonomy, and considering your son is your only child and would inherit the property by law, he had full authority to handle this property...”

Damn, what kind of logic is this? Is it so hard to make a phone call to confirm? This is clearly shirking responsibility!

Ye Haochuan couldn’t stand it anymore—the true face of Huaxia Minsheng Bank was genuinely disgusting.

When the Xiao Family was flourishing, they couldn’t wait to lend more money to them. Now that the Xiao Family had declined, they couldn’t wait to call back the loans, which was akin to rubbing salt in their wounds.

He remembered the last time when he had simply withdrawn a little extra money from the ATM, Huaxia Minsheng Bank had made every possible difficulty. If it hadn’t been for his fearlessness, anyone else might have obediently gone to the bank to return the money.

”Manager Su, I must disagree with you,” Ye Haochuan snorted.

Su La and her male assistant both turned their surprised gazes towards Ye Haochuan.

”Who are you?” Su La frowned.

”Ye Haochuan!” Ye Haochuan said.

”Ye Haochuan? That name sounds familiar...” Su La thought for a moment, then suddenly a thought struck her, ”Aren’t you the school doctor, Ye Haochuan, from Haishan University?”

Ye Haochuan was startled, wondering how she knew, but he nodded anyway.

Then, with a mocking tone, Su La said, ”I was wondering who it was. It’s you. No wonder your voice sounded so familiar, just like over the phone. Mr. Ye, you went too far. I sent two female staff members to Haishan University to collect that three thousand yuan from you, and you caused all sorts of difficulties for them. In the end, you even gave them thirty thousand coins in dimes. Who does that?”

The male assistant behind her also spoke indignantly, ”Exactly. If it hadn’t been for the ATM malfunctioning this time, we would have had to proceed legally!”

Proceed legally?

Ye Haochuan found it extremely amusing. Damn, no wonder they say the bank acts like it’s your superior; clearly, it’s their fault, yet they insist on blaming the customer, and they act all high and mighty. Do they have the spirit of serving the people?

”So you’re saying that your bank has no intention of repenting up to this day?” Ye Haochuan laughed coldly.

”Why should we repent? Moreover, it wasn’t our fault subjectively. It was a malfunction of the ATM, an act of God. Our bank has already provided an explanation. If you don’t understand, that’s one thing, but why cause all these difficulties? What do you mean by this?” Su La’s attitude was unrelenting.

”Please, just explaining is enough? It was already after working hours, and you asked me to wait there for an hour or two. Why should I? You’re done for the day and relaxing, so I deserve to wait for you? And you expect me to understand you? Have you tried understanding me? I spit on that!”

Ye Haochuan mimed spitting, then continued, ”If you ask me, your bank has been too used to acting like a lord, completely disregarding our customers’ feelings. You want to go legal, I damn well feel like smashing your bank!”

Just as Su La was about to speak, Ye Haochuan suddenly started smiling sarcastically, ”Manager Su, I advise you, leave some leeway in your actions for future encounters. You’re the manager and fully have the authority to extend the repayment period. The Xiao Family is facing difficulties temporarily, but that doesn’t mean they won’t rise again. If you persist in being inconsiderate, you’ll be the one who ends up regretting it!”

Seeing his menacing tone, Su La felt a sudden chill inside. But after thinking about it, she dismissed her fears, wondering what could a mere school doctor from Haishan University cause her to regret?

Thinking this, Su La snorted, ”We’re just acting according to rules and regulations, trying our best to recuperate the bank’s losses. What’s there to regret about?”

This woman is truly delusional!

Ye Haochuan shook his head, and said, ”If I’m not mistaken, you are already in the late stages of cancer, with not much time left in this world. That’s why your temper is so explosive. Is that right?”

Su La’s face changed, and her male assistant was immensely surprised.

After a while, Su La said tremblingly, ”You... how do you know I’m in the late stages of cancer?”
