Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 252: Chapter 252: Not Afraid of Thieves Stealing, but Afraid of Thieves Coveting!

The birthday celebration soon ended amid a lively atmosphere.

Afterward, it was time for the guests to mingle freely, with attendants constantly shuttling trays loaded with fruits and beverages among them.

As Old Master Xiao was busy chatting with a group of old friends, Ye Haochuan found the perfect opportunity to slip away and chat idly with Xiao Haimei and Fan Qingyin.

Since he was suspicious of Fan Qingyin, Ye Haochuan always tried to probe for her background, but unfortunately, this beautiful woman was very cautious, and her words revealed nothing, leaving him at a loss.

However, as the saying goes, the more you try to cover up, the more it shows. This only made Ye Haochuan more convinced that this woman had a mysterious identity and was no ordinary person.

”May I sit here?” Suddenly, a man with a magnetic voice entered their ears.

Ye Haochuan looked up and saw that it was Su Zehao.

Damn, he’s like a shadow!

Ye Haochuan felt helpless but didn’t want to appear too rude. He glanced at Xiao Haimei and Fan Qingyin and said, ”I don’t mind, it’s up to you.”

Xiao Haimei and Fan Qingyin looked at each other, both shook their heads, indicating no objections.

However, Ye Haochuan, who was observant, faintly felt that murderous intent appeared again in Fan Qingyin’s eyes.

Strange, what deep-seated grudge does this woman have with Su Zehao to harbor such intense killing intent?

Ye Haochuan’s heart shuddered.

Su Zehao then sat down, his gaze briefly passing over Xiao Haimei and Fan Qingyin’s faces before he looked meaningfully at Ye Haochuan and smiled, ”Mr. Ye seems unwelcome of me.”

Cut, of course, I’m unwelcome. You have your eyes on my wife, and you expect me to welcome you?

Feeling annoyed, Ye Haochuan chuckled and said, ”Young Master Su jests. I, for one, am utmost welcoming to friends.”

”Then, I wonder if Mr. Ye considers me a friend?” asked Su Zehao with a half-smile, immediately pressing on.

Ye Haochuan smirked, ”That depends on whether Young Master Su genuinely wants to be friends. But you see, I’m not worried about Old Wang next door; it’s those old Song that might climb over the fence, so... heh, you know what I mean.”

Xiao Haimei’s cheeks reddened when she heard this. This jerk was still not letting his guard down.

However, feeling he cared so much about her, a sweet sensation involuntarily surged in her heart. After all, what woman doesn’t wish for her beloved man to value her?

Fan Qingyin just gave a meaningful smile, unfathomable.

”Haha!” Su Zehao burst into laughter, ”It seems Mr. Ye guards against me just like old Song, interesting, interesting...”

”Glad you understand,” Ye Haochuan said indifferently.

Su Zehao’s laughter abruptly stopped, and he seriously said, ”Mr. Ye, I admire the Western world’s view on love. Love is a right everyone is entitled to enjoy. What is wrong with me pursuing my love? Besides, Miss Xiao is currently just your fiancée in name; you have not truly entered the bond of marriage...”

Smack!

Ye Haochuan slammed his hand onto the table, stood up fiercely, and glared, ”Damn it, when I offer face, you should take it. I don’t care about your views on love. Pursue whoever you want; even if you chase a sow, it’s none of my business. But if you dare lay a finger on my woman, believe it or not, I’ll beat you until you question your life?”

Su Zehao was stunned, not expecting him to turn hostile so suddenly. What kind of quality is this?

Xiao Haimei found this both aggravating and amusing, while Fan Qingyin couldn’t help but grin. This Ye Haochuan was growing more interesting to her.

Seeing many curious glances from around, Xiao Haimei quickly tugged at Ye Haochuan, chiding, ”Can you tone down your fiery temper a bit?”

After she soothed him, Ye Haochuan reluctantly sat back down, still fuming.

Xiao Haimei felt it was necessary to clarify, seriously saying, ”Young Master Su, I appreciate your kindness, but I am already committed. Please do not disturb my emotional life.”

There was a slight change in Su Zehao’s expression. He hadn’t expected to be cut off so quickly before he could even properly converse with the woman of his dreams, a feeling more unbearable than death.

However, he did come from a prestigious family and indeed had great restraint. He reasoned that there would be other days, so what was there to fear?

With a slight smile, Su Zehao rose to his full height and said, ”Since Miss Xiao puts it that way, I will keep these feelings buried in my heart. But remember, Miss Xiao, if one day your love life turns sour, there has always been a man waiting by your side!”

After saying this, he slightly bowed and was about to leave.

Waiting... waiting your ass!

Ye Haochuan immediately stood up and yelled, ”Stop right there!”

Su Zehao paused, turned his head, and still had a faint smile on his face, ”Mr. Ye, may I help you?”

”Help you, my ass, I want to beat you to death!” Ye Haochuan burst out in anger.

The thief you’re afraid of is not the one stealing, but the one always coveting!

This Su Zehao, time and again, kept making advances as if I were nothing, absolutely unbearable!

Annoyance spread across Su Zehao’s face as he said, ”Mr. Ye, please watch your language. We are all civilized people...”

Ye Haochuan clenched his fists so tightly they cracked, shouting, ”You dare covet a married woman, and you still have the nerve to talk about being civilized in front of me?”

Xiao Haimei, seeing the situation escalating, hurriedly tried to calm things down and reminded him to mind the setting.

Only then did Ye Haochuan slightly suppress his anger and said in a deep voice, ”You admire Western culture, right? If so, then let us emulate the ancient Western knights and duel. Do you dare?”

”I’ll gladly accept!” Su Zehao agreed without any hesitation.

Ye Haochuan was slightly taken aback, but recalling the skills Su Zehao had shown while painting on the spot, he felt somewhat relieved as the guy probably relied on his martial prowess to be so arrogant.

Shortly after, they agreed to duel outside the Xiao Family mansion.

Xiao Haimei tried to dissuade him several times to no avail; though annoyed, she had to let them be.

Taking advantage of no one noticing, Ye Haochuan and Su Zehao sneaked out of the Xiao Family mansion.

Ye Haochuan was keen to test Su Zehao’s prowess, gradually unleashing the Dragon Flight and Tiger Step, increasing his speed progressively.

To his surprise, Su Zehao did not lag behind and kept up the pace tightly.

Damn, this guy is no simple matter!

Ye Haochuan frowned.

Soon, the two reached the mountain behind the mansion, still some distance away from the Xiao Family mansion itself.

The rear mountain was barren and eerily quiet, rarely visited by people, indeed a fitting place for a duel.

Finding an open space, Ye Haochuan stopped and faced off against Su Zehao.

”Young Master Su isn’t someone simple, is he?” Ye Haochuan narrowed his eyes and said in a low tone.

Instead of answering directly, Su Zehao laughed aloud, ”Haha, Mr. Ye, it seems you too keep your cards close to your chest! Being so young and yet having such cultivation, it’s truly remarkable. The Ancient Martial Arts Sect is fortunate to have talents like you, truly a cause for celebration.”

Ye Haochuan furrowed his brows and said, ”You know who I am?”

Su Zehao laughed and said, ”Let me tell you the truth, my visit today to Old Master Xiao’s birthday feast was not really to pursue Miss Xiao, but for you!”

”For me?”

Ye Haochuan was shocked to his core, and then overwhelmingly furious, goddamn, what did he take me for, I have no interest in that crap!
