Invincible Little School Doctor

Chapter 273: Chapter 273 Fine, I’m Not Serving Anymore

This trouble didn’t come from someone else, it came from Mrs. Liu, Miao Hui, Director Liu’s wife.

Miao Hui was over forty, but her skin was extremely well-maintained, and at first glance, she looked only in her thirties. She wore heavy makeup and dressed fashionably, with somewhat of an aristocratic lady’s flair.

However, from her aura, Ye Haochuan’s first impression was that her personality was too domineering, not easy to get along with.

Upon seeing her, Su La immediately went up to introduce, ”Mrs. Liu, this is Doctor Ye, who Director Liu had invited to treat your precious daughter. His medical skills are indeed very profound. I originally had cancer, and he didn’t use the traditional surgical methods, but has already alleviated my pain and given me hope to continue living. Thus, I recommended him to Director Liu to have a look at your daughter.”

Although these words were truthful, sadly, Miao Hui was prejudiced due to a prior disparagement from Butler Yang towards Ye Haochuan.

In fact, even though Yang Chenglin came back later to persuade her not to anger Director Liu and she conceded somewhat, deep down, she still was resistant and even hostile towards such a young Ye Haochuan.

”So you are that school doctor Ye Haochuan from Haishan University Hospital?” Miao Hui’s eyes shifted to Ye Haochuan, thinking to herself that he indeed looked young but wondering if he truly had genuine skills.

”Yes, Mrs. Liu,” Ye Haochuan nodded.

”Then may I know from which Medical University Doctor Ye graduated?” Miao Hui asked with a slightly mocking smile, embodying the high-handed demeanor of a lady of status.

Is she checking on my credentials, or what?

Ye Haochuan’s brow furrowed slightly as he said, ”I don’t mean to hide it, Mrs. Liu, but I graduated from a specialized Traditional Chinese Medicine college...”

Miao Hui huffed abruptly, interrupting, ”A specialized college? And a Traditional Chinese Medicine one?”

At this, she turned to look at Su La with displeasure, ”Manager Su, are you joking with me? Who still consults traditional Chinese medicine these days?”

Seeing her displeased expression, Su La hurriedly said, ”Mrs. Liu, even though Doctor Ye studied traditional Chinese medicine, his skills are indeed remarkable. This I can assure you...”

”Assurances? What can you assure with?” Miao Hui huffed again, ”Our Jiajia has seen countless Western doctors and none could help her, what makes you think this Doctor Ye can cure Jiajia’s illness? And don’t take me for some busty bimbo, a genuinely talented TCM doctor wouldn’t be as young as he is.”

Busty bimbo?

Ye Haochuan was rendered speechless by this so-called noblewoman’s imposing attitude. You’re calling yourself a busty bimbo? You dare say such a thing! Don’t think I can’t tell that your breasts are augmented.

”Mrs. Liu, you might not be aware of one thing, but Doctor Ye is actually Elder Xiao’s son-in-law-to-be from Xiao Group. Elder Xiao was able to be resurrected from near death, all thanks to his intervention,” Su La, realizing reasoning was futile, shifted to stating facts.

”What? You’re saying he’s that son-in-law from Xiao Group?” Miao Hui was startled, ”That Xiao Group which is about to go bankrupt?”

Clearly, she had heard about the Xiao Family’s ordeal but hadn’t expected that this unremarkable young man in front of her was the Xiao Family’s prospective son-in-law, who had even saved Elder Xiao.

After hesitating for a while, Miao Hui finally nodded, ”Alright, I’ll give him a chance. But let me make it clear, I’m fine with him treating my daughter, but there must be no inappropriate behavior.”

What inappropriate behavior? Am I being made out to be some lowlife here? As if your daughter is some noble princess?

Ye Haochuan obviously couldn’t stay quiet any longer, could Mrs. Liu show a bit of respect? If it wasn’t for the possibility of helping the Xiao Family rise again, with my usual temper, I’d have smacked her already.

Fortunately, Su La had observed his mood swing and gave him a meaningful look, advising him not to act rashly, which made him suppress his anger.

”Mrs. Liu, rest assured, Doctor Ye has excellent medical ethics, he won’t do anything inappropriate,” Su La stated.

However, although she said this, she couldn’t help but recall the moment she had been treated by him, when she was asked to take off her clothes. Even though he seemed to have done nothing inappropriate, it was indeed a bit embarrassing.

Moreover, Director Liu’s daughter Jiajia was at the tender age of a blooming young girl, and if he made that kind of request, Mrs. Liu would probably not agree.

Miao Hui had no idea of her inner thoughts and nodded, saying, ”As long as he doesn’t act inappropriately, that’s good. However, I’m still a bit worried. Jiajia is the gem of the Liu Family. What if something happens? How would I explain it?”

Upon saying this, Miao Hui instructed Butler Yang, ”Old Yang, go and bring the private doctor here immediately. In case of any accident during Doctor Ye’s treatment, we’ll be able to provide prompt care.”

Ye Haochuan rolled his eyes. This woman really could make a fuss. I’m just here to examine a patient; is there a need to have a private doctor supervise?

Before long, a male doctor in his thirties was brought in by Butler Yang. He was called Huo Tianxiang, a genuine graduate from a prestigious Medical University in Huaxia Country, with rich medical experience and a good reputation in the industry.

Hearing that the young Traditional Chinese Medicine practitioner Ye Haochuan was going to treat Director Liu’s daughter, Huo Tianxiang looked at Ye Haochuan with disdain and said to Miao Hui, ”Mrs. Liu, forgive me for being straightforward, but let’s not talk about whether this Doctor Ye is skilled or not. I’ve heard that he claims to cure cancer without surgery. How could that be possible? Doctor Ye is talking big; he’s not reliable!”

Clearly, he had already garnered quite a bit of information about Ye Haochuan from Butler Yang along the way.

It wasn’t that he particularly wanted to target Ye Haochuan. Considering he had diligently served the Liu Family’s precious daughter for so many years, even if he hadn’t earned merits, he had certainly put in hard work. How could he feel comfortable with someone suddenly usurping his place?

After hearing Huo Tianxiang’s words, Miao Hui began to waver again, ”Right, it does sound a bit unreliable...”

Ye Haochuan could no longer endure it, ”Damn it, I voluntarily came to treat your daughter, and it’s like a favor from your ancestors, yet you are still so picky. Fine, young master will not serve anymore.”

Giving Su La and Fan Qingyin a signal, Ye Haochuan said, ”Forget it, let’s go. The threshold of Director Liu’s house is too high for us, we can’t step over it, nor can we afford to. It’s better if I go back and think of ways to sell more Body-Strengthening Pills to repay the bank loan sooner...”

Fan Qingyin had no objections, while Su La sighed. Feeling a bit anxious, she wondered whether Ye Haochuan would continue to treat her afterwards.

As the three turned to leave, Miao Hui suddenly spoke, ”Wait, Doctor Ye...”

Ye Haochuan stopped but didn’t turn back, ”What is it?”

”You just mentioned selling what? Body-Strengthening Pill?” Miao Hui asked eagerly, ”Is it that kind of...”

Before she could finish, Ye Haochuan coldly said, ”I have nothing further to say.” Then, he walked away directly.

”You...” Miao Hui was somewhat infuriated. Being a wife of a bank director, she was usually on the receiving end of flattery. When had she ever been defied by a young man?

Initially, she was quite upset and thought about asking Butler Yang to have someone beat him up. But then she considered that the doctor had been brought by Manager Su. If Manager Su spread words about her being difficult and harsh back at the bank, her husband might think less of her. So she decided to endure it.

However, just as Ye Haochuan and his companions had left, hurried footsteps came from upstairs. A pretty young girl looking like a university student rushed down and asked, ”Auntie, where is Doctor Ye?”

Miao Hui was stunned, ”Cuicui, you know that swindling Doctor Ye?”

That Cuicui stamped her foot, ”Aunt, what are you saying? Where has Doctor Ye swindled anyone? His medical skills are renowned. That strange illness Lin Qingxuan from Dormitory 501 of Girls’ Dormitory Building 7 had, it was he who cured it.”

After a pause, she added, ”Auntie, you might not know, but Lin Qingxuan is the daughter of Mayor Lin of Haishan City! Oh, and that Body-Strengthening Pill I bought for sixty million, it was made by him too!”

”What?”

Suddenly realizing something was amiss, Miao Hui’s expression changed, and she urgently shouted at Butler Yang, ”What are you standing around for? Hurry and invite Doctor Ye back!”
