Warlock Apprentice

Chapter 2001: Chapter 2002: Illusion Technique Hut

As Baruba became more certain that the red-haired wizard was indeed Angel, he felt a slight sense of loss within.

He was very clear that Angel had actually repaid him many times over these years, long since compensating for that insignificant favor from the past.

All these years, Baruba had a thought lingering in his heart that he hoped one day he could repay Angel. But now, it seemed like Angel was still the one supporting him.

Nowadays, Angel’s strength was growing more formidable, yet he himself had remained stagnant. Perhaps his desire to repay Angel was becoming increasingly unattainable.

For this reason, Baruba couldn’t help but feel a bit remorseful in his heart.

On the way back to the ruins, Angel observed the changes in Baruba’s expression and could roughly guess his mood.

However, Baruba might be mistaken this time. Bringing Baruba back wasn’t entirely about supporting him. It was simply because Angel had noticed Baruba’s performance in the architectural tasks.

Comparing him to others who had taken on architectural tasks in the Tea Party Town, Baruba was noticeably more diligent and meticulous.

Furthermore, from the construction of the Rose Chapel, although Baruba might not have exceptional artistic talent, he could perfectly replicate the artistic essence within architecture, which in itself was a rare talent.

Currently, the new city construction in the Wilderness of Dreams was ready to launch.

Jon’s city design was already quite perfect and filled with an artistic feel. If they let those who think too highly of themselves unleash their own artistic flair during construction, it would surely disrupt the unity of the city. It would be better to find someone like Baruba, who can methodically transform Jon’s vision of an Eastern-flavored fantasy punk city into reality.

Nevertheless, Angel didn’t bother to explain much to Baruba.

Once Baruba truly entered the Wilderness of Dreams and took on the torch for new city construction, he would surely be too busy to have time for idle thoughts, so there was no need to explain now.

Riding the Gondola, within minutes, they returned to the ruins.

Angel led them to the third basement level of the ruins and pushed open the door of the materials warehouse, leading the way inside.

They walked all the way to the artificial lake before Angel came to a stop.

Kudodo observed the surroundings. It was a very flat open area, close to the artificial lake, with a humid scent in the air. Being a Natural System apprentice, Kudodo really liked the environment here.

However, Kudodo was puzzled as to why Angel had brought them here. Was the subject they were to study located here?

This was not just Kudodo’s question, but also what Babaya and Baruba were thinking. Yet, none of them dared to ask at the moment, choosing instead to quietly await Angel’s next move.

”This is a nice spot,” Angel murmured softly, and before the others could react, he extended a finger, causing a gust of air to shoot out from his fingertip.

The gust of air carried a thick white mist that quickly obscured everyone’s vision.

As the white mist dissipated, a delicate little wooden house appeared beside the artificial lake. The wooden house had a dome, was two-storied, with red roofs and white walls. The walls were painted with cloud murals, wind chimes hung at the door, and next to the chimney of the wooden house, two small clouds floated.

”You will live here in the future. The two clouds on the roof are made of Cloud Soil, and there are rooms placed on them. Kudodo and Babaya, you can choose to live on the Cloud Soil or stay inside the house,” Angel pointed at the wooden house and said.

”My lord, is this a Mana Hut?” Kudodo curiously asked, looking at the house which seemed straight out of a fairy tale.

”No, this is merely an illusion,”

An illusion? Shock flickered in their eyes. Kudodo hesitated for a moment, walked to the front of the house, and touched the stairs with his hand.

An obvious wooden texture was felt at his fingertips.

Is this really an illusion? Kudodo found it hard to believe. If it was an illusion, why could he feel such a real texture?

Although Kudodo didn’t voice his question, his expression revealed everything.

Angel chuckled softly and said, ”This is indeed an illusion. It is sustained by a piece of Magic Crystal. As long as you don’t deliberately destroy it, the Illusion Technique Hut could last for years without any issues.”

The reason Angel chose to create their living quarters using illusion wasn’t because he couldn’t cast the Mana Hut, but because casting the Mana Hut required some consumables. Although the consumables weren’t particularly valuable, they were still quite wasteful. On the other hand, the Illusion Technique Hut just needed unique Illusion Nodes paired with the Power of Nightmare Illusion to create a house realistic enough to deceive others, which could save a lot.

This method gradually became a unique Nightmare Illusion Manipulation Method exclusively his own after building rooms for Hua Que in the past.

”How you choose to live there is up to you. Next, I want to talk about your work,” Angel said.

As Angel finished speaking, the three standing near the Illusion Technique Hut all returned in front of Angel.

Although their expressions didn’t show much, in their hearts, they were all somewhat anxious. Could they truly handle the tasks Angel would give them with their capabilities?

In their worried state, Angel took out three monocles emitting a faint silver glow from his pocket and handed them to them.

For Baruba, it was just a normal-sized monocle. But for Babaya and Kudodo, it was almost a half-length mirror.

The monocle was actually the ”Log-in Device” for the Wilderness of Dreams. Angel hadn’t yet refined the log-in devices suitable for the Kulakuka Tribe, so Babaya and Kudodo had to make do with these.

Once they finished examining the monocles, Angel said, ”I’ll talk about your specific jobs later. For now, activate the log-in devices you hold.”

Confused as to why a monocle was called a log-in device, they didn’t dare to ask and could only follow Angel’s instructions, inputting magic power one after another to activate the monocles.

As they activated the log-in devices, all three were simultaneously drawn into the Dream Bridge.

With a snap of his fingers, Angel conjured a soft illusion sofa beneath him. Then he cast a Nightmare Illusion on himself, and with a flicker of light and shadow, Angel transitioned from reality into the Wilderness of Dreams.

Angel appeared in a newly planted Little Garden within the street park of Originheart City.

Because of the presence of plants, during the day it was nearly full of people looking to relax. However, now, being nighttime, the Little Garden was silent, with no one in sight.

When Angel entered the Little Garden, the Ability Tree in his Mind Space began moving on its own, despite no wind.

The Authority representing the ”Gate of Dreams” continuously sent Angel three warnings: ”Attention, foreign entities have entered the Wilderness of Dreams!”

Angel ignored the warnings and allowed them entry.

With his permission, the three silhouettes previously barred by the Gate of Dreams saw a blazing light in the darkness. As the light engulfed their forms, the silhouettes broke through the barriers of reality and descended into the dream garden.
