Chapter 2004: Chapter 2005: High Magic Zone

The so-called high magic area does not refer to places with high virtual magic energy levels.

Although Sanders possesses the authority for energy level limitation, he has not yet raised the magic power energy level cap of the Wilderness of Dreams, keeping it still at a junior level. In other words, only 0-level and 1-level tricks can be cast.

According to him, raising the magic power energy level cap involves many issues that can only be resolved gradually.

Therefore, when Angel talks about a high magic area, he is not referring to the energy level of magic power, but to the concentration of magic power within a certain domain field. This concentration is not meant for advancing the energy level, but it allows for the rapid absorption and restoration of spent virtual magic power.

Sanders pondered for a moment: ”I haven’t tried, but it should be possible to construct. Based on the current energy level of the Wilderness of Dreams, combined with the Lus energy cycle formula, it should be possible to construct an area with a maximum of 10 Lus units within a hundred-mile radius.”

The Lus energy cycle formula is used to calculate the core nodes within an energy field and is generally employed in conjunction with energy-gathering spell techniques or magical energy arrays, used in high-level energy fields.

Although Sanders had some understanding of this, with his previous level of expertise, he definitely would not have been able to use it.

However, nothing is absolute. He now possesses two major authorities: ”energy level limitation” and ”energy selection.” In the real world, both are top-tier core laws, and in the Wilderness of Dreams, they are considered extremely important authorities.

With these two major authorities, Sanders can bypass the prerequisites required to learn the ”Lus energy cycle formula” and go from ignorance to proficiency.

Of course, even the most proficient application is limited to the Wilderness of Dreams.

Lus units... Angel converted it into concrete data in his mind, which is about half the size of the Marine Theater.

”If we make it smaller, can we increase the concentration of the domain field?” Angel asked.

Sanders nodded: ”Yes, but for junior apprentices, their restoration rate is capped. For example, in a 10 Lus unit high magic area, they can restore all the virtual magic power in their magical core in half an hour; if it’s reduced to 5 Lus units, the energy concentration doubles, yet they still restore in half an hour. Therefore, if you’re planning for junior apprentices to conduct tests, there’s no need to further reduce it.”

Angel thought for a moment and agreed.

He wanted to construct a high magic area to accelerate Kudodo and Babaya’s trick practice progress in the Wilderness of Dreams.

Through this, he hoped to see if practicing tricks using virtual magic power could be evidenced in reality.

For instance, the relatively challenging ”Spikes Technique” among Natural System 0-level tricks generally requires about three to six months of practice in reality. The slow progress is mainly due to three aspects:

First, the trick model for Spikes Technique lacks a unified standard. This means when constructing the trick model for Spikes Technique, individuals must consider their circumstances due to differences in mind space, slowly building the model. A slight misstep can cause the trick model for Spikes Technique to collapse.

Second, when junior apprentices practice Spikes Technique, constructing a trick model once typically depletes the magic power in their magical core. So, they have to wait a long time to meditate and restore magic power before continuing with Spikes Technique practice.

Third, constructing trick models follows a feature: as the model becomes more complete, a misstep resulting in a collapse also intensifies the backlash. For example, when you first practice Spikes Technique, a failed backlash might only make you dizzy; but the deeper you practice, the stronger the backlash becomes, potentially injuring you. Any injury inevitably delays the practice progress.

So, the difficulty in practicing Spikes Technique in reality lies in: trick models easily collapsing, slow magic power restoration efficiency, and high backlash intensity.

These three issues can be resolved in the Wilderness of Dreams.

As long as a high magic area is constructed in the Wilderness of Dreams, magic power restoration efficiency increases significantly. Apprentices can construct multiple trick models in a short period, and even if the trick models collapse, the backlash only affects their body in the Wilderness of Dreams, not impacting reality at all.

Once the Spikes Technique is successfully constructed in the Wilderness of Dreams, if it can be replicated once in reality, Angel’s envisioned scenario would be perfect.

This implies that the Wilderness of Dreams can significantly reduce apprenticeship period trick practice difficulty, allowing apprentices more time to accumulate knowledge and step into higher positions.

Due to the energy level limitation, while it may not match Infinite Alchemy and information exchange, once realized, it becomes a feature that can yield immediate benefits.

Apprentices form the foundational strength of every Witcher Organization. Once apprentices grow, the organization’s growth becomes visibly significant.

Thus, Angel can imagine that when the Wilderness of Dreams truly manifests in the world, the most eye-catching aspect will likely be the apprentices’ cultivation.

”So, Mentor, shall we first construct a 10 Lus unit high magic area in Originheart City?” Angel inquired.

Sanders naturally understands the significance of a high magic area, and he too wants to see if the experience of constructing tricks with virtual magic power can translate into reality.

Hence, Sanders did not reject: ”It’s possible, but virtual magic power is ultimately transcendent energy. When it exists in a stable large area, it maintains a stable state. However, if a variable emerges, it could very well lead to a high-energy phenomenon.”

High-energy phenomenon refers to anomalies in the Material Realm caused by non-logical changes in energy within a certain area.

For instance, individuals with strong inspiration might get energy-infused, and while they may be unharmed or even awaken some peculiar abilities with good luck, bad luck could lead to instant demise.

To prevent high-energy phenomena, one can choose to restrain with a magical energy array or... construct the high magic area in a remote place.

This is why wizards prefer building Wizard’s Towers in the wilderness.

”Indeed, we need to consider high-energy phenomena,” Angel pondered for a moment: ”Then let’s construct it outside the city, establishing a temporary restricted area, with the Sin Hunting Group protecting from the outside.”

Members of the Sin Hunting Group all possess extraordinary abilities, so there’s no worry about high-energy phenomena, and they might even benefit.

Sanders: ”Building it outside the city is fine, but what kind of carrier do you plan to use for this high magic area?”

After setting an area as a high magic area, it’s best to construct a carrier to contain it, preventing the dense magic power from dispersing and simultaneously delineating a tangible domain.

The common practice in the Wizards’ Realm is to construct a Wizard’s Tower as a carrier.

However, if it’s near Originheart City, there’s no need to be so formal. Angel thought for a moment and said, ”As for the carrier, let’s just construct it as an experiment site.”
