Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

The soldiers on the Orion Arm side suffered more casualties, yet they steadily advanced the frontline.

”Ahhh, dead, my best comrade is dead, five years, a whole five years together, damn it, you Union bastards!”

”Damn it, how could it be that I am the only one left in our squad, hahaha, we promised to form a Yin-Yang Union Strike squad for life, brothers till death, and now they’re dead. How can I have the face to live alone? Let’s die together then!”

Boom!

In this war, there were countless stories of heroism and sacrifice.

There were such stories on the Orion Arm side, and many of them could be seen everywhere.

But don’t underestimate the Union side, they also had passionate stories; unfortunately, in sheer quantity compared to the Orion Arm side, theirs were far fewer.

After all, the willingness to fight from both sides was entirely different.

Up to now, the fighting spirit of the Orion Arm soldiers was boiling, whereas the Union side’s spirit waned day by day. They were invaders, and such wolf-hearted individuals, when faced with fierce resistance, typically had weaker fighting spirit.

So, soon after the war began, the initially intense situation turned into the advancement of the Orion Arm army, slowly pressing their enemies.

”Sigh, those Galaxy Level dignitaries of the Union side are still formidable. They even calculated that even if this whole Union army fought all out, it would still be the result; seemingly losing by a narrow margin, but in actual combat power they are inferior to our Orion Arm’s main forces.”

In the subspace, Jia Yan silently watched the scene before his eyes.

He also sighed as this truly retreating Union force coincidentally retreated towards a severely distorted area.

And the Orion Arm army followed and pursued them there.

This process, being a war fought in the starry sky, might take a long time since the distance is not short.

In the future, this pursuit battle would be known as the ’Great Union Defeat,’ showcasing a unique chase scenario never seen before in this war.

Because it was a total war with a win-only stance, the Orion Arm showed no intention to spare this fleet as they did in previous battles.

Their attack connected at lightning speed.

Across billions of kilometers, warships engaged in pursuit, battling everywhere.

At times, an Orion Arm warship chased after two enemy warships, both sides continuously maneuvering, accelerating, employing all manner of battleship control tactics, deploying every piece of technology they had.

At other times, when several Orion Arm warships faced a small enemy counter-charge, they were chased in a dire situation and possibly, a single warship could be counter-attacked and blown apart by a small group of enemy ships.

In the entire starry sky, the wreckage of warships from both sides littered the area, as desolate as could be.

Moreover, at times it’s hard to say who chased whom, as in some cases, counter-attacking Union warships even charged into Orion Arm fleet’s interior, causing chaos and almost breaking their formation.

But in the grand scheme of things, the Orion Arm still maintained the upper hand, due to the evident discrepancy in combat power between the two sides.

”Lord Jia Rong, perhaps you shouldn’t fight in the next engagement; we fought hard enough in the last one.”

”Indeed, remarkably, we managed to kill an enemy who had just reached the Stellar level jointly, didn’t you see the entire warship squad was cheering for us?”

”Energy has been overly spent, let’s take a break next.”

Amidst this great campaign, there was a seemingly inconspicuous, small Orion Arm squad.

This squad had a leader or rather a senior commander who, during the pursuit engagement, performed outstandingly. More impressively, when an enemy who had just barely attained the Stellar level targeted this small-scale contingent, thinking it lacked Stellar and even potent Semi-permanent Star Level combatants to turn the tide as a lone ranger, this commander, along with several moderately strong Semi-permanent Star Level dignitaries, directly exterminated the arriving Stellar level dignitary.

This battle was immensely satisfying, as the enemy who had just entered the Stellar level came boldly, believing this squad was devoid of combat power, and after destroying a warship, displayed a ridiculously arrogant smile, seemingly mocking the enemy of the Orion Arm here.

Thus, the commanding officer who killed him gained immense adoration.

This commander’s name was ’Jia Rong.’

Indeed, he was the Jia Family’s direct descendant who received guidance and assistance from Jia Yan, advancing to the Semi-permanent Star Level.

”No, this war requires us to exhibit the full commitment of this unit capable of fending off Stellar levels; otherwise, victory is hard to achieve.”

Jia Rong finally realized his goal, obliterating a creature that had just reached Stellar Class Junior, with mere cooperation from a group of Semi-permanent Star Level Beginners. How could he not be joyous?

Thus, he wishes to seize this momentum, aid the army, and fully utilize their prowess.

Unfortunately, that’s his intention, not necessarily others’.

In reality, his few Semi-permanent Star Level comrades had no desire to go out. They had just reached Semi-permanent Star Level from Respect Level, remaining mentally still at their previous level, where encountering a Stellar level meant fleeing.

Despite boosting their confidence, witnessing a Stellar level’s terror firsthand was an unforgettable experience.

The earlier Stellar level’s ultimate attack, a direct hit would certainly lead to death.

What they didn’t understand was that not getting hit is precisely the advantage of Yin-Yang Dao Union Strike, if lacking sufficient strength or faced with lousy luck, the enemy’s attack would mean nothing, unable to touch them.

Yet the heart-pounding feeling bred concern over upcoming battles, making them want to hide within the warship, reflect on prior combat experiences before daring to engage again.

Sadly, Jia Rong thought differently, for fighting Stellar levels had become an obsession, and now, with an opportunity, he would not let it slip away.

Everyone knew, if the Orion Arm won, a long peaceful era would follow, during which the Orion Arm would gain fame, making even slightly weaker adversaries hesitate to invade.

If defeated, it was even simpler; Jia Rong believed as a member of the Jia family, he was certain to die.

Therefore, choosing not to fight now meant either never having another chance to excel in battle or meet his end.

Better to fight courageously then.

”Listen, all of you. As the captain who gathered you for cooperation, I’m responsible for your safety. I can guarantee your security; besides, do you not realize that you’ve mastered the most elite cooperative battle method? If you think merely any new Semi-permanent Star Level squad can handle a Stellar Class junior, think again. These are our advantages; when the enemy engages us, they perceive us as weak, yet our combat ability is indisputably mighty.”

”Don’t worry about anything. I am confident in our combined strength. If you don’t trust me, surely you have faith in Mosquito Ancestor’s guidance, right?”

Jia Rong began persistently encouraging his teammates.

He had no choice but to rally these five people, or he would struggle to shine in this campaign.

Once he enhanced his Semi-permanent Star Level skills further, he would certainly no longer wish to ally with these comrades, as their talents were inherently different. Furthermore, these individuals didn’t seem to heed his commands considerably, prompting him to seek others.

”Fine, Lord Jia Rong, we trust you and Mosquito Ancestor once.”
