Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

The queen silently glanced at Jia Yan, who was dining with her, and asked curiously.

In fact, they had been eating here for a year or two and were still eating.

It seemed their stomachs were bottomless pits, and the fiery creatures serving them didn’t seem surprised at all.

Jia Yan’s avatar, which looked like an Earth person, quietly chewed on his food, and upon hearing the queen’s words, he put down his knife and fork with a smile.

”It’s not that I have nerves of steel; I’m simply not too afraid of the current situation. That middle-rank Star River powerhouse is indeed strong to me, but not to the point where I’m helpless. Even if I can’t beat them, I can still escape using my subspace talent. You know how my subspace talent is.”

The Insect Clan queen heard Jia Yan’s words and just smiled noncommittally.

Actually, she didn’t care much about Jia Yan’s subspace talent. She even knew of subspace-talented strongmen more formidable than Jia Yan’s, reaching the Nine Degrees.

But so what if they reached Nine Degrees? That subspace-talent existence who reached the Nine Degrees was still slain by the Insect Clan queen in one strike; even at Nine Degrees, they weren’t her match.

So she didn’t really think much of Jia Yan’s subspace talent, but she didn’t express it now.

The two fell silent again, and the Insect Clan queen was not in a hurry. After all, their lives were long, and this was just an avatar. Waiting here for some time might yield her a good ally. This period was not long for someone who had traveled half the Milky Way; it was at least worth her wait.

Leaving the avatar and the Insect Clan queen aside, even inside the Orion Arm, the earlier tension had now led to a temporary standoff without war, causing many ordinary soldiers to experience psychological issues.

”Argh, why hasn’t the battle started yet? I’ve been eagerly waiting.”

”If we don’t fight soon, I’ll lose my fighting spirit.”

”So annoying, I used to want to fight, but now I think of my wife and children at home every day.”

”Why is this happening? If we don’t go to war soon, I’ll desert.”

Similar voices began appearing on many battleships.

The psychological issues of the soldiers became very serious during the standoff.

However, the Orion Arm didn’t have many solutions for such emotions as they had no precedent or experience of such large-scale wars, resulting in doctors providing only simple psychological counseling to the soldiers before leaving it be.

In reality, the Orion Arm claimed to have undergone continuous wars, supposedly tempering the soldiers, but the emergence of a truly powerful starfield wasn’t so easy. This situation in the Orion Arm was a typical case of drawing the sprouts to help them grow, causing significant psychological problems. Previously, it wasn’t severe due to the need to resist the enemy, but now as the war was about to end, emotions surged all at once, making the problem particularly acute.

”Take it easy, we’ll soon finish fighting, and then you can go back to your hometown.”

”Uh, are you worried there’ll be no work when you return home? There won’t be; we will arrange work for you when you return.”

”After the war, you still want to kill? If you want to kill in the future, I suggest you join a special department work; otherwise, I can’t recommend continuing to think about killing—it’s illegal.”

A psychological counselor kept explaining and guiding a group of soldiers, but unfortunately, there were too many such soldiers, ranging from grand dignitaries to relatively small sky-level existences.

Each one required a lot of time for explanation, and after a long while, the counselor himself felt like he had a psychological problem.

”Sigh, when will this ever end?”

”You won’t have to wait long; soon there will be results from the battle.”

As he muttered to himself, a young man’s voice sounded.

And indeed, not far from this psychological counselor, came walking an Earthling man, who seemed small at least in the eyes of respect-level beings standing a few hundred meters tall, like an ant-like creature.

The man was someone everyone in the fleet knew, and the psychological counselor recognized him too.

His face changed instantly, not daring to underestimate this Earthling man coming before him.

This man had reached the semi-permanent star level; although he had just entered this level, he was definitely one of the rare high-end combat forces within this fleet.

But his uniqueness went beyond his strength; in fact, his strength paled compared to his identity.

He was, indeed, the one known as ’Jia Rong’ in this fleet, who was also the son of the strongest and ruler here on the Orion Arm, ’Jia Yan.’

In reality, the relationship between Jia Yan and Jia Rong was still a mystery, but everyone knew in their hearts that Jia Yan was indeed Jia Rong’s father. Even though Jia Yan never admitted it, Jia Rong always said his father was Earthling Jia Yan.

But in reality, many know that Earthling Jia Yan is just the avatar of Mosquito Jia Yan; therefore, the identity of Jia Rong’s father was not hard to discern.

He was a bona fide ’strong second generation,’ so compared to his identity, what did semi-permanent star level strength even matter?

”Lord Jia Rong, you’ve made me laugh.”

This psychological counselor wasn’t seeing Jia Rong for the first time. Previously, Jia Rong had come to consult him about soldiers’ psychological issues, which had moved the counselor greatly back then.

Seeing Jia Rong again now, he felt somewhat better and realized that this so-called strong second generation wasn’t that unique but just had a stronger father. The person himself was pleasant.

”I’m not laughing, and my earlier comment wasn’t without basis. The war will start soon, and you can directly tell the soldiers that.”

Jia Rong stopped by the counseling area for a simple greeting, then left.

”Wow, this Lord Jia Rong conducts himself with a unique air. Hearing external rumors, I thought he was still an immature child. But after interacting with him twice, he seems to have a real presence. It seems the rumors can’t always be trusted.”

This psychologist was a bit captivated by seeing Jia Rong’s demeanor.

You should know, external rumors often painted Jia Rong, the only son of Mosquito, as a rebellious person, who even ran off to adventure in the outer star systems in earlier years, causing a lot of trouble for the Lord Giant Mosquito.

But now seeing him, this psychologist believed Jia Rong wasn’t lacking in depth. Perhaps his departure years ago had internal reasons.

Of course, he didn’t know what Jia Rong was like back then, or even a year ago; Jia Rong might not have the same demeanor and maturity as now, so he wasn’t aware of the internal stories.

And Jia Rong, after reaching semi-permanent star level strength, truly became a mature man.

If earlier, even though he understood Jia Yan, there was still a bit of friction. Now, having undergone Jia Yan’s guidance and reaching the semi-permanent star level instantly, also understanding many principles of the Yin-Yang Path, he became reconciled, like a grown-up overnight.

The mature Jia Rong bore some of his father’s traits.

There were rumors within the fleet that Lord Jia Rong had changed temperament, appearing somewhat like the Lord Giant Mosquito. Truly a father and son.

Jia Rong wasn’t actually becoming like Jia Yan; rather, he matured, and the influence of the Yin-Yang Path affected his character but he was still himself, not entirely a different person.

”It’s said the war is about to start, so that’s why I told that to the doctor; hopefully, what I said won’t backfire on me.”
