Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

”Lord, regarding the issue of troop sources, I think there are two solutions. The first is the simplest, but also comes with many hidden dangers, and that is to recruit mercenaries from the extraterrestrial domain. These people are very strong in battle and very professional, but with this approach, it’s almost impossible to avoid a motley mix slipping in; spies from those few Big Star Fields might infiltrate our System.”

”The other way is to immediately pour in massive resources, squeeze out the Talent potential of the Starfield, and force a short‑term explosive surge of Talent from those who might reach Sky Level, or Star Space Level, or even Venerable Level. But this method likely won’t show results that quickly.”

”Lord, which approach do you think we should use?”

The one speaking was Tian Niu Lang.

The two plans he mentioned were things Jia Yan had also considered, but he hadn’t thought them through this thoroughly. Hearing him speak now, concise and to the point, actually let Jia Yan quickly make a choice.

Strong Ones act decisively.

”Here’s how we’ll do it. Neither plan is very good if we choose it alone. We’ll advance on both fronts. After all, whether we bet everything on mercenaries or on cultivating local talents, each has its own limitations.”

Jia Yan’s words made several of them whisper quietly among themselves.

Because they knew that the resources and finances Inside the Orion Arm really weren’t much; they didn’t even match their current reputation. That made it hard for them to really spread their wings, let alone push both plans forward in parallel.

But since Jia Yan had spoken, there wouldn’t be any different outcome. Besides, he had also already thought it through—he would put in some effort himself.

”As for the money, I’ll see if there’s some way the Northern Star Domain can help a bit. After all, right now more than half of the Northern Star Domain’s resources are in my hands. If they skim off a portion, I estimate it can help quite a lot. Moreover, the matter of mercenaries can also be handled by the Northern Star Domain. With such a distance between us, I imagine the risk of spies and the like will be much lower.”

After Jia Yan figured out certain key points, his ideas multiplied. What he said made Tian Niu Lang and the others’ eyes light up one by one; they felt Jia Yan had hit every point dead on.

”Very good, we’ll act according to this. The original Strong Ones of the Orion Arm are our foundation, so we must not skimp on training them. If more Strong Ones can emerge before the war ends, that will be to our advantage.”

Jia Yan issued the final order.

”Yes, Lord.”

All of them expressed their agreement with Jia Yan’s words. Then these Subordinates left this nameless Starry sky land one after another, hurrying to the battle zones they each were in charge of.

Besides being the high‑level leadership of the entire Orion Arm, these few were also Super Powerhouses holding the line in their respective regions during wartime. And because they needed to execute Jointly‑used ultimate techniques, these major Subordinates were completely sticking together as a group, which in turn made manpower even scarcer.

Once you reach the Stellar Level, recruiting is no longer that simple. Even though Jia Yan was a Galaxy Level, waiting for a Stellar Level, or even a Middle Level Stellar existence to come defect to him was still extremely difficult.

So the existences of the Jia Yan Squad would, for a very long time to come, remain a major source of support for Jia Yan.

Of course, for him now, this support was already growing weaker and weaker, becoming more like a simple helping hand to Jia Yan. When it came to truly benefiting Jia Yan, they simply couldn’t reach that Level.

But even so, the Jia Yan Squad as they were now was already outstanding enough. They had achieved their own goal: to become Middle-order Powerhouse of the Stellar. Back when they joined Jia Yan’s team, all they wanted was to reach Middle-order Powerhouse of the Stellar and above; they hadn’t expected that in just a few short years, this would already become reality.

What excited them even more—and was also the reason they still tirelessly followed Jia Yan to this day—was that by now they actually had ways to kill Stellar Class Late Level, and even Peak of Stellar Strong Ones. For those who back then were merely Stellar Class Junior, and not even particularly outstanding in that Early stage, following Jia Yan felt like the most correct decision of their entire lives.

So they would not abandon Jia Yan. Now that they had finally gained Jia Yan’s complete trust, been treated as his own people, and even become high‑ranking leaders of a Starfield on the rise, this was already the peak of life for them. How could they possibly have any thoughts of betrayal?

Jia Yan did indeed trust them quite a bit.

While Jia Yan was meticulously plotting, arranging, and preparing, with his True Body frequently appearing in semi‑public and public occasions to give war‑before speeches and the like, he received yet another message.

The message was sent by the enemy.

It was a passage personally addressed to Jia Yan by that Star River Middle Stage existence.

”Honorable Lord Jia Yan, as Galaxy Level beings who have crossed blades with you for so long, we feel it very necessary to have one more amicable consultation with you.”

”You, as the strongest and most respected Galaxy Level existence in the Orion Arm, are someone we genuinely respect. But the war between us arose from many coincidences and various disagreements that none of us were too willing to see. So here, we offer our sincere apologies for rashly attacking your Starfield.”

”However, our war cannot be avoided. So after deliberation on our side, we still decided to send this signal. In the coming war, we will respect the Strong Ones of your Starfield, and even your ordinary soldiers. Here are the standard bilateral war clauses used in our Star River wars, which include detailed terms on the treatment of captured soldiers, Strong Ones, and, shall we say, top‑level leaders...”
