Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

”What’s the point in saying this? Among our Allied Army, people like us at the Respect Level and Sky Level are at the very bottom. I originally left my hometown to gain some military merit, then return home to develop. But unfortunately, who knew this war would last so many years.”

”I’m tired too. Why haven’t the Galaxy Level lords of our Starfield withdrawn from this battle earlier? It feels pointless. The Orion Arm is basically a barren land. What’s the use of winning?”

Thud!

Just as a few Respect-Level beings were chatting about their superiors in a bar like recreational spot for strong ones on the logistics planet, a sharp light appeared.

That Respect-Level existence who was just criticizing the Galaxy Level lord suddenly had his head shake and with a gurgle, it hit the ground.

”Hmph, speaking ill of the Galaxy Level lords, such a crime deserves death.”

A creature that didn’t look very old, with a dark complexion, slowly withdrew its foot.

Its foot was extremely sharp, looking like it could slice through many creatures’ necks with one stroke.

”Ugh...”

The other few beings nearby, either Respect Level or Sky Level, suddenly dared not speak.

These creatures were naturally mid-to-low-level members of a certain Allied Army unit. At this moment, how could they not know they had encountered the legendary law enforcement team.

These enforcer squads had been frequently deployed within the Allied Army recently, and often killed those who dared to speak ill of the upper echelon or spread negative messages about the war, far more sternly than before.

Such severe enforcement left many lower-level soldiers with grievances. But due to their lack of strength and having no say, they dared not speak recklessly.

However, the effect was also good, because spreading such messy negative news and emotions led to serious consequences. Once regulated, the situation improved a little.

”These enforcers have been getting stricter and stricter recently. That comrade just now only said a few bad things about the upper echelon and ended up dead.”

”Stop talking; keep going and you’ll end up dead too.”

”This war, sigh.”

Ordinary Allied Army soldiers didn’t even know how their side was faring. They only knew that the war seemed easy at first, but later they were driven out from inside the Orion Arm by Orion Arm’s army.

Especially those Allied Army creatures with certain levels, who felt it most deeply.

Initially, upon encountering creatures of the same level in the Orion Arm, they rushed to compete for military merit. Because they all knew that in such a lagging Starfield, even same-level creatures wouldn’t surpass them in power. Usually, like in their established Star River Level Star Domain, due to a completed strongman system, they were crushing weak Starfield’s same-level opponents.

But later on, they couldn’t even charge upon encountering same-level foes and had to flee in panic from those one great level weaker than them.

Failing to flee meant death.

For unknown reasons, the creatures inside the Orion Arm learned the ’Yin-Yang Union Strike’ ultimate technique from a Star River Level powerhouse. Once they joined forces, their combat power allowed them to leap levels and kill enemies.

Be aware that the Orion Arm is the enemy’s home ground. Though there might not be many extremely strong ones, there were still quite a few Sky Level and Respect Level at the grassroots, at least more than the Allied Army. Once enemies joined forces and grew stronger, the Allied Army suddenly found itself at a disadvantage.

As the battles went on, the Allied Army was forced out of the areas they had once occupied in the Orion Arm, suffering heavy losses.

This led many ordinary soldiers to yearn to return home, especially knowing that several Star River Level powerhouses died at the hands of the strongest being in the Orion Arm, ’Jia Yan’, which intensified this desire.

But don’t mention Allied Army soldiers who still have Star River Level beings above them— even those where the Star River level beings had died and who didn’t flee quickly enough were soon taken over by strong ones from other Starfields.

These strong ones could be Stellar Level or Semi-permanent Star Level, but in any case, swiftly took over these now leaderless troops and sent them back to the front lines as cannon fodder.

As a result, the feeling of division and discord within the Allied Army became increasingly serious.

”This war, it was lucky it reached its end. If not, perhaps in another year or two, the entire Allied Army would internally collapse.”

Several battle-hardened veterans analyzed the situation of this battle, then sneered.

The Allied Army failed because there were too many strong ones, who each wanted to act independently. Once the enemy grew stronger, chaos ensued.

However, one must also acknowledge the Orion Arm, which is simply a terrifyingly resilient Starfield. Which Starfield develops from very weak to very strong so rapidly?

”That Jia Yan inside the Orion Arm has the capability of turning decay into magic, turning such a weak Starfield into an extremely strong one with unique methods. Sigh, the enemy chose the wrong target.”

”But it doesn’t matter, as long as we win this final battle, we will be the victors. No matter how strong Jia Yan is, he’s only one person. Two fists can’t defeat four hands, and though our Allied Army is in shambles now, the actual combat power remains very strong. If united, we absolutely have a chance to overcome the Orion Arm’s army, and if the strong ones win, the Orion Arm will collapse instantly, rendering previous failures fruitful.”

Though none of the ordinary soldiers knew why their Star River Level lords came to fight in the Orion Arm, they all understood that as long as they won this final battle, their leaders’ goals would be achieved, allowing them to return with their tired bodies to their home Starfields and take a well-deserved rest.

”Hope this war starts quickly, and then ends quickly.”

These Allied Army soldiers were no longer concerned about winning or losing, only wishing to return home quickly.

Meanwhile, as this sentiment pervaded the Allied Army, large swaths of war fortresses and battleships slowly sailed into the previously scouted Starry Sky, distorted within the Eighth Degree Subspace.

Buzz buzz buzz.

Within the Eighth Degree Subspace, countless distortions appeared.

In this space, a terrifying monster resembling a giant Mosquito was looming intermittently.

”The distortion is formidable. I nearly got torn apart by the distortion here. Luckily, I’ve reached Galaxy Level, otherwise, with a Stellar Level body, I’d have perished instantly.”

Within the Eighth Degree Subspace, Jia Yan continuously explored the surrounding Twisted Territory, completely ignoring the battleships and vast interstellar fortresses outside.

Their presence confirmed that his strategic plan had completely succeeded.

Up next, it was just a matter of timing—either during the start of the great battle or at the optimal distraction point—to give his ’gifts’ arranged for the enemy a grand surprise.

”It’s close. You’re tired, I’m tired, the entire Orion Arm is tired. Since everyone is exhausted, I’ll find a way to end this war quickly.”

The bustling commotion outside was palpable, even Jia Yan in the subspace could vaguely feel it. After all, some strong ones spoke unrestrainedly in the interstellar skies, allowing even Jia Yan in the subspace to hear, through his super hearing organs and Brainwave Power perception organs.

His words ring true; if the enemy is tired, the Orion Arm is even more so. Right now, he has no other thoughts, just the desire to end the current war quickly and let the Orion Arm catch a breath.
