Upon hearing the provocation from the other side, Jia Yan’s gaze took on a faintly sinister hue.

All the surrounding higher-ups knew that Jia Yan was currently seriously injured, with his strength diminished by ninety percent. Even in such a state, the opponent dared to challenge him, which was utterly shameless.

”Haha, Jia Yan, are you not daring to come out? Can such a strong one still be considered the first of the Orion Arm? It makes me laugh to death.”

The creature that issued the challenge laughed heartily outside the defense line and then, looking towards the front of the defense line, was about to issue an attack order.

At this moment, his expression slightly changed.

It turned out that on the planet behind that defense line, a creature that appeared small at first glance, yet faintly exuded terrifying power, slowly floated up.

It was Jia Yan!

”Jia Yan, what, are you willing to come out and meet your death?”

The monster was a crab creature at the middle period of the secondary level, and upon seeing Jia Yan flying, a hint of eager excitement flickered across its demeanor.

One must know that Jia Yan had been ambushing all along in their rear, and even a Semi-permanent Star Level powerhouse had been dispatched to capture him, yet he had not been caught. If this strong creature could kill or even capture Jia Yan alive, it would be a tremendous achievement.

But Jia Yan gave him little chance, as he merely floated up and, from behind nearly five thousand battleships of various types at the defense line, looked towards this secondary level powerhouse with a slightly grave expression.

”The power of this secondary level is far stronger than any secondary level I’ve fought with my avatar before. And behind him...”

Jia Yan’s gaze cast towards the thousand terrifying external battleships behind the opponent.

Although their numbers were fewer compared to the battleships at the defense line, the actual battle capabilities were more advanced, and they were also larger. In contrast, the battleships of the Auster planetary defense allied army were of uneven quality; although they were numerous, no one knew if they could withstand a single blow in battle.

More importantly, Jia Yan sensed that there was another existence with even more terrifying energy hidden within this fleet.

If that being were to deploy, Jia Yan could not guarantee the survival of his avatar, even with heavy battleship protection.

”This battle seems to be beyond redemption.”

Jia Yan quietly retreated a bit without showing any expression.

”Jia Yan, are you scared? If you’re scared, why not surrender? Although my force is not large-souled, we do have the capacity to forgive a surrenderer like you!”

”The same goes for other creatures present. We of the Biochemical Starfield Forces are very friendly; we do not kill those who surrender, and you will even have a good life.”

The secondary powerhouse spoke like an orator, elaborating in the central place between the two confronting armies.

But none of the creatures on this side were moved by his words.

The previous acts of this Biochemical Starfield Force at places like the Kawai Defense Line were almost universally known, and they would slaughter even surrendered planets.

Of course, this could also be described as simply using machines to alter the starry sky environment to their advantage, resulting in the death of ordinary creatures within the Orion Arm that were not strong ones.

In circumstances like this, who would be interested in surrendering?

”Keep talking, the more you say, the more we drag for time on our side.”

Jia Yan listened to the words of that secondary powerhouse, and finally opened his mouth to drag out more time.

”Respected strong senior, there is no enmity between our Orion Arm and your force, so why do you seek to eradicate us?”

Jia Yan’s words were actually nonsense; after such a long attack, even a child by the roadside knew they came here for some item of the Great Empire.

Even Jia Yan knew they came for the essence blood of an Evolutionary Creature Predecessor from tens of thousands of years ago.

But he still asked this question unnecessarily.

Every second dragged out was precious, every minute prolonged was vital.

The true body had already reached a location not far from the Orion Arm. As long as the true body could arrive, such a small secondary level could be crushed easily with one forward claw!

”We have said it before, we care nothing for your Orion Arm; we came here for an item of the Great Empire. As long as they are willing to hand over that item, withdrawing our troops is not impossible.”

”Mister Jia Yan, speaking with you is exhausting. Why don’t you come a bit closer?”

It seemed they also intended, before the battle began, to kill Jia Yan, the most formidable figure within the Orion Arm, which could minimize their own side’s casualties to the greatest extent.

But Jia Yan would have none of it.

”Respected senior, since you want the Great Empire’s item, why attack our starry sky? The Great Empire is completely in the opposite direction, isn’t it?”

”Jia Yan, are you pretending not to understand? Since we spent so much effort to invade, how could we not maximize our benefits? If you do not wish to surrender, then prepare for our army to crush you, not only eradicating the entire Orion Arm but also claiming all your resources.”

Needless to say, even attacking a weak starfield like the Orion Arm required significant expense. Despite the essence blood as spoils of war, they planned to maximize wartime gains, hence the all-out attack on all beings inside the Orion Arm.

And how could they not use such a weak starfield for some military training?

This is the reason why the opponent has extended the battle line across the entire Starfield.

”Hmph, you are too much. As far as I know, your forces are not considered a major power in the Biochemical Starfield, are you not afraid of someone taking advantage of your unpreparedness to attack your base?”

Jia Yan snorted coldly, and then almost said something that made the other’s expression change slightly.

Before that Secondary Level could respond, a mysterious voice sounded from the fleet behind him.

”Tang Ge, the other side is stalling for time, can’t you understand such a simple thing? Stop talking nonsense, attack for me!”

The Secondary Level at the front of the battle line was slightly stunned, seeming to react with shame and anger.

”How dare they deceive me, full attack, crush this garbage defense line!”

The Secondary Level almost roared as he gave orders, and then the fleet groups behind him suddenly pressed the grand army toward the defense line!

”Deploy the battleship formation as I instructed before, and defend well.”

Jia Yan also issued orders on this side, but unlike the charging posture of the Secondary Level creature, Jia Yan flew back quickly to the rear.

It must be known that his Avatar is now severely injured, running into the battlefield would only invite trouble.

”Jia Yan, why are you escaping, come back and have a proper fight with us.”

The mocking voice of that Secondary Level sounded from the direction of the war-torn front line, but Jia Yan completely ignored it.

”If it’s a proper fight you’re talking about, why seek out a Dignitary like me? It’s simply unreasonable.” Jia Yan felt a bit annoyed, but at this moment, he wouldn’t say so much in the midst of the war, because during such interarmy confrontations, individual bravery actually doesn’t help much.

Even if the other side is a Secondary Level, if they dare to rush into the encirclement of five thousand battleships alone, they would definitely meet their demise. Unfortunately, they won’t do that, they have an extremely powerful external battleship army behind them.

In the starry sky, five thousand battleships are divided into several large fleets, vaguely having formations, supporting each other at angles, yet able to operate independently at any time.

The opposing fleet also has similar formations, but compared to this formation, they’re significantly inferior.

”What? How can they have such a battle formation, we were careless.”

Those one thousand battleships rushed to the defense line front, only then finding themselves constantly facing the firepower of a dozen battleships around them, this was not a five-fold difference in numbers, but dozens of times difference.

Even if the defense line’s firepower was a level worse compared to the enemy’s, and the battleship’s speed and power were also inferior, yet due to the numerical disparity, this difference was instantly leveled.

”Indeed, the battleship formation obtained from the Genius Battlefield can also be used in this war, and it’s better than theirs!”

Jia Yan, who retreated into the star body’s surface, looked at the massive battleship group battle stretching for thousands of kilometers on the horizon, a glint of brilliance slightly flashing in his eyes.

He previously thought of the attrition tactic, and incidentally glanced over some data from the Genius Battlefield on his true body side, then selected such a classic battleship formation in group warfare, and the results were indeed good.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Unfortunately, the fundamental difference between the two sides could not just be compensated with mere formations.

When the war continued for about ten minutes, the battleship on the battle line, firing intensely, one by one had to lower the firing speed due to the barrel temperature rising too high because of technical differences.

On the contrary, the opponent, although there might also exist temperature issues, at least hadn’t reached that point yet.

”Haha, is that all you’ve got, die.”

That Secondary Level creature, previously targeted by hundreds of battleships’ fire, had practically been in danger at every step, now finally sensing the decline in battle line firepower, immediately pounced forward joyfully, then struck towards the densely packed battleship line.

A dazzling explosion illuminated the sky.

After all, a Secondary Level is a Secondary Level, even compared to a genius Secondary Level, which would be a pile of revulsion, their strength still cannot be underestimated.

This strike shattered more than a dozen battleships, clearing the entire Starry Sky.

And the thousand battleships in the rear also relentlessly opened fire.

Five thousand battleships began to lose their formation, initially this formation had a way to struggle a bit under such circumstances, but their training was simply inadequate, or perhaps they were only temporarily following Jia Yan’s instructions in battle to form a formation, how could they understand the changes in the next formation?

So suddenly within the fleet group, those who ran away, ran away, those who avoided battle fire, avoided battle fire, the originally crowded posture unexpectedly became a burden.

”Alas. Indeed, it is powerless to turn the situation around.”

Beneath the interstellar scene, seeing such a situation, Jia Yan shook his head helplessly.

For the Auster Empire, which he was somewhat familiar with, of course not mentioning grudges, just to say this civilization had been relatively nice to Earth recently, he could only hold a helpless sympathy for the upcoming tragic scene for this civilization.

After that, Jia Yan didn’t think too much, and amidst the one-sided battle situation, jumped into his space cabin.

”Behind the Auster Empire lies the Ru Lan Empire, and they also have a starfield border with the Solar System. If the other side attacks the Ru Lan Empire first, the Solar System will have a little breathing time, but if they directly attack Earth, then there’s not much time left.”
