Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 1487: Chapter 49 Sudden Change in the Battle Situation [Request for Official Subscription]

”Yes, they even say that Lord Jia Yan is the strongest in the Orion Arm. No wonder the external civilizations we meet are so respectful.”

Over on the Earth fleet’s side, totaling over ten thousand people, though they were positioned away from the frontline, they could still observe the battles at the Kawai Defense Line daily.

Each time they saw Jia Yan dazzling at the Kawai Defense Line, this group of Earth people would be utterly shocked, almost to the point of disbelief.

It’s known that Jia Yan’s status is high in the perception of various civilizations in the Orion Arm. However, Earth’s civilization is so isolated and low-level, that at most they see other civilizations come to deliver some items, which Earth people believe to be normal exchanges for joining the Great Empire’s ranks.

But now they understood, if not for Jia Yan, why would the Great Empire and other civilizations treat Earth’s civilization so well?

All of it, isn’t it because of the terrifying and unparalleled combat power of Guardian Deity Jia Yan!

The shock here was even stronger compared to the shock of the troops stationed at the Kawai Defense Line for protection.

”Princess Xiao Qi, your uncle is terrifying.”

Jia Qi, in the flagship, was somewhat mesmerized staring at the big screen at her familiar yet unfamiliar ’Uncle Jia Yan,’ slaughtering all in the universe.

She felt somewhat discouraged because she always thought she too was part of Jia’s family and had inherited her uncle’s excellent fighting genes, she should become as powerful as her uncle in the future.

But now she understood, seeming impossible to even compare herself to her uncle.

A seventeen-year-old girl reaching the Upper Celestial Level is considered powerful. Back on the Grey-Yellow Star, the Upper Celestial Level was considered a master, even her current aunt ’Samo Ling’ was only at the Heavenly Peak.

But she thought of her uncle, who even if started cultivation from birth, didn’t spend relatively long in cultivation, yet, it’s unfathomable, almost a legend within this Orion Arm.

”Your Royal Highness the Fifth Prince, how strong do you think my uncle truly is?”

Jia Qi suddenly turned her head to look at the man speaking to her.

It turns out that within this flagship, she was being attended to by the Fifth Prince of the Great Empire.

”Mister Jia Yan’s strength is something I cannot comprehend, I only have four words—unfathomable.” The Fifth Prince shook his head with a wry smile upon hearing Jia Qi’s question.

”That’s right, Lady Jia Qi, if it weren’t for Lord Jia Yan, our Kawai Defense Line wouldn’t be improving these days, on behalf of the Kawai Defense Line, we thank Lord Jia Yan and the Jia family for their contributions.”

Another man, holding a drink, approached Jia Qi’s side and offered her a toast.

Looking further away, a group of high-ranking Imperial Humans was hosting a banquet. Naturally, their focus was on Jia Qi, who seemed somewhat stifled on this flagship.

To prevent this young girl from wanting to return home, the Imperial humans racked their brains, fearing that if she voiced a desire to return home, Jia Yan might also leave together.

”My uncle is fighting but I am here holding a banquet, it seems not quite right.” Jia Qi, looking at the surrounding Imperial people urging her to drink, appeared a bit at a loss.

She was still a young girl, with little experience, so it was natural to feel at a loss in such a situation.

”No, no, Lady Jia Qi, you, as a member of the Jia family, are here to cheer for Lord Jia Yan correctly, and we’re not just having fun but discussing big business.”

A few Imperial ladies approached and discussed topics of interest to young girls with Jia Qi. Of course, they were around a hundred years old, making them far more experienced and articulate compared to a teenage girl from Earth like Jia Qi.

”Your Royal Highness the Fifth Prince, will this keep Lady Jia Qi settled for a while? We hope Lord Jia Yan can help us eliminate more external strong experts on the front line.”

The man who spoke with Jia Qi earlier joined the Fifth Prince, then smiled bitterly.

He felt somewhat ashamed to be playing mind games with a seventeen-year-old girl from Earth.

”Alas, all for the sake of the defense line, Earth people won’t be without benefits. Otherwise, if those external creatures break through, they will suffer too.” The Fifth Prince shook his head.

”But from the intelligence I’ve gathered, those external creatures seem more active. Even though Lord Jia Yan recently stabilized the defense line a bit, I have a vague feeling that they might have some major moves in the coming days. I hope it’s just my imagination...”

...

”Hmm? Why do I feel the attacks on this defense line have changed in recent days?”

Jia Yan, in the midst of battle, had a similar feeling.

He was almost too busy to keep up.

To match his actions, he began using a space battleship he hadn’t activated for a while.

After obtaining the Great Empire’s enormous energy, the battleship’s speed reached over seventy percent of its actual speed. You know, this was a device capable of flying in subspace, with its true speed far exceeding the speed of light.

With it, Jia Yan moved like a phantom across the defense line. Previously being light-years away, he could appear light-years away in just a few days, which was unimaginable for ordinary creatures in the Orion Arm.

This speed and efficiency made the defense line almost instantly devoid of battle, as the entire battle line was pushed flat by Jia Yan alone.

Of course, the cost was that the space craft aged more drastically, nearing the verge of scrapping.

But there was no choice, as the defense line couldn’t change the situation just because he was effective in one spot.

In fact, despite Jia Yan’s efforts, the defense line did improve a bit due to his sudden appearances. But after a brief silence, the counterattack beyond the barrier was something even Jia Yan couldn’t anticipate.

”Lord! The eastern defense line is in crisis, there are...three secondary-level external strong beings appearing simultaneously.”

”Mister Jia Yan, the southern defense line is in urgent distress, with two secondary level creatures attacking at once. Countless defense line officers and soldiers have been killed or injured.”

”There is also intelligence from the west corner... a total of five secondary level creatures have appeared together, my lord.”

In just one night, neither the Kawai Defense Line nor anyone there expected the battle situation to worsen again so quickly after the appearance of Jia Yan. When they snapped back to reality from the joy of improving conditions, a series of battles and urgent situations left everyone on the defense line in shock.

One has to understand that even a single secondary level creature is enough to threaten the annihilation of an entire region. When it’s two, or three, or even five, even if Jia Yan rushes over, they don’t believe he can handle it.

”Where is the nearest one?”

Jia Yan was equally shocked by the sudden emergency situation, then he glanced at the Smart Brain within the space cabin, where there was a rapid battle report from the emergency contact center.

”Three secondary level creatures, is it?”

Jia Yan took a deep breath.

In the battles on this Kawai Defense Line, Jia Yan’s avatar had not yet simultaneously fought against more than one external secondary level creature.

Though he can easily take down one external secondary level creature, an avatar is just an avatar. He estimates that two secondary level creatures would be difficult to handle, and three would be...

He could only do his best and leave the rest to fate.

Jia Yan let out a long sigh.

The space cabin quickly started, zooming towards the location of the three secondary level creatures.

Even if the avatar successfully takes down these three secondary level creatures, what about those five external secondary level creatures? Even backing down a million steps and supposing those five secondary level creatures could also be dealt with, given the intensity of the enemy’s attack this time, it’s unlikely to be just a massive offensive occurring once.

”The Biochemical Starfield Forces must have more significant actions. Can I block them with just this avatar?”

Jia Yan was deeply concerned.

As he flew, he contemplated the battle situation.

Unexpectedly, a communication from his true body brought him great joy.

Before, when his true body returned to Ting Tian Pavilion, he was delayed on the road as his primary focus was on the avatar, so he only just reached the location of Ting Tian Pavilion. But timing was perfect; as he arrived, he heard a communication from Xi Bala.

And it was good news!

”Lord, our launch device is ready and has been test-fired. The results are promising. When will you come to receive it?”

Xi Bala’s voice rang in Jia Yan’s communicator.

To Jia Yan, this voice was almost like that of an angel.

The battle situation on the avatar’s side was not optimistic, especially around the defense line where Jia Qi was nearby. If the avatar fell in battle, it would be tolerable, but should Jia Qin face any danger, it would cause him unending regret.

But there’s actually a possibility of launching the true body!?

”Xi Bala, prepare quickly. I will return to Ting Tian Pavilion immediately.”

”Uh, my lord, you are considering the launch now?”

Xi Bala was shocked on her side. She initially thought Jia Yan was joking. Even if he meant it, she assumed it would be much later.

At the very least, he should reach stellar level in the Genius Field first, yet Jia Yan was unexpectedly intending to act now.

”Indeed, but I will return after completing some matters quickly.”

Though Jia Yan said so, practically if he returned to the Orion Arm given such a distance, he truthfully didn’t know how to rapidly return to the Genius Field.

”How about this, my lord? I have some items here to send to you, which might assist your journey back. Anyway, come back first to discuss it further.”

Xi Bala was stunned for a while, then stated this to Jia Yan with a sense of helplessness.

”Alright.” Not particularly concerned about what she mentioned, Jia Yan focused back on his avatar after closing the communication.

”Haha, this must be Mister Jia Yan, the strongest in the Orion Arm. It’s an honor for us three to engage with you today.”

”We’ve heard that your Respecter Strength is immensely powerful. We three shall recklessly band together to challenge you.”

”Haha, what are you saying? He’s just a frog in the well inside the Orion Arm, unable even to comprehend our external words.”

As the avatar switched focus, it immediately faced the battlefield.

The space cabin traveled at an incredible speed, reaching the location where the three secondary level creatures rampaged.

Upon arrival, countless battleship wrecks and innumerable biological corpses littered the starry sky.

Even someone like Jia Yan, who usually doesn’t quite empathize with aliens, couldn’t help but feel compassion for those fallen when seeing such widespread scenes of death.

”You outsiders, how can you appear with three at once?”
