”They’re indeed coming!”

Jia Yan was piloting the aircraft, and there wasn’t a hint of surprise in his eyes regarding the few battleships that were chasing him.

With a swift turn, he made the aircraft execute a wide spiral maneuver!

Boom!!

The streak of light that shot towards him whizzed by the aircraft’s hull, narrowly missing it and flying off into the vacuum towards the boundless universe.

”Lord, so you didn’t make peace after all!” The short merchant now sounded somewhat dejected as he spoke.

He had been flung to the side by the sharp turn of the aircraft, his head striking the corner of it, and now he looked utterly miserable.

Jia Yan had no time to pay him much attention; this was a critical moment!

Boom boom boom!!!

Several streaks of light passed below the skyline, firing towards the sky. Jia Yan glanced at their origin and promptly maneuvered the aircraft toward a region he had figured out, swiftly dodging to safety.

”Hmm?” As he dodged, a strong sense of crisis suddenly surged in Jia Yan’s acute perception at that very instant.

In a battle for life and death, his instincts as one of the Strong Ones came into play.

Jia Yan sensed that amongst the beams attacking him, there was one from far behind, aiming precisely at the area he was about to dodge into!

In this moment of crisis, Jia Yan quickly steered the aircraft in another direction.

Fortunately for him, even with such a dangerous and rapid reaction, his aircraft did not face any significant danger!

Boom!

From the front of the aircraft, a sound faintly came through, as if something had just been breached.

Unwittingly, the ’Shadow’ had flown out of the Bitter Flying Group’s settlement area, the breakthrough being the outer layer of a biomimetic ecosystem that Jia Yan did not completely understand yet.

Breaching this area meant that Jia Yan had completely left the control area of his adversaries; however, it also meant that the enemies could now fully unleash their attacks on him!

At this time, nobody cared that Jia Yan was just a novice at piloting the aircraft.

Beams of attack from behind incessantly targeted the region where Jia Yan was, while the aircraft in front seemed to struggle and awkwardly dodge these attacks amidst its inexperience.

Soon after ’Shadow’ broke out, more metal shadows, jetting flames, emerged from the small settlement, breaking through the protective shield and chasing wildly after the defenseless aircraft ahead!

Yet the silhouettes were just simple small battleships, not as formidable as medium or large ones and even seemed to be of a lower grade than Souwu’s small battleship.

The fleeing aircraft in front, however, almost instantly reached a speed these small battleships couldn’t match!

”As expected, their speed is far behind mine!”

Jia Yan, inside the aircraft up front, looked back at the three single-pilot small battleships and felt a sense of relief.

He had always been satisfied with the flight speed of ’Shadow,’ and now that he had activated its hidden propulsion mode, the speed had increased to a level that even Jia Yan himself could not determine; naturally, he was confident in its speed now.

The chasing battleships behind seemed not to have anticipated this outcome and appeared to be frantically shooting beams of light into the void where Jia Yan was.

Streaks of light continuously gleamed in the vacuum!

But the distance had grown even further, and at such a range, even Jia Yan could easily dodge the attacks, instantly reducing the danger to a minimum!

Eventually, the distance between them grew wider and wider.

From being able to see each other through the monitoring panels, to later when they could hardly see anything at all...

”Phew...” Inside the aircraft, Jia Yan finally took a long breath out.

Although it was just a short chase, it felt to him more exhausting than engaging in physical combat.

”This kind of technical job suits that woman Kama better. Someone with my style just can’t adapt!”

Jia Yan judged his own piloting skills with a wry smile.

It had been fine under normal circumstances, but at the critical moment of battle, he had made several mistakes.

Jia Yan turned his head to see that the merchant, dazed from the collision during the chase, was now uttering groans on the floor.

”Alright, come here; I didn’t save you for nothing!”

”Now, I need you to tell me about the distribution of forces in this region, the reputations of the notable Strong Ones, their strengths, and so forth. I hope you don’t hold anything back.”

Jia Yan said indifferently.

The merchant who was a Monster hesitated for a moment when he heard these words as something came to his mind.

However, in no time at all, the glint in his eyes vanished as he knew some things could be guessed, and others were better left unclear.

He came forward without overthinking.

”Lord, ask me anything you wish, and I shall tell you all that I know without holding back.”

...

As time gradually passed, the news that a Star Space Level one dared to provoke the Bitter Flying Group and subsequently managed to flee successfully spread quickly across the Starry Sky.

How strong this individual really was remained unknown, but rumors had it that they fought on equal terms with a Swift-Inclined Star Space Level from the Bitter Flying Group!
