The security forces knew that the sound came from another Starry Sky Level Expert in the city. It was none other than the ”Bolby” previously mentioned by the old monster.

Since Lord Bolby had spoken, there was nothing else for them to do.

They stared at the slowly vanishing gigantic figure in flight, utterly dumbfounded.

Just like that, in a moment, their old City Lord—a formidable presence who had, at his peak, even repelled a Mid-Starry Sky fighter—had left the city that he had guarded for decades?!

They felt as if the sky were falling.

Jia Yan and his companion also had a very bizarre feeling. This being that followed them was a Starry Sky Level being!

Such beings were hard to come across normally, and now there was one following them.

”I’m telling you, Lord Mayor, following me is useless. I won’t go with you to your so-called Chaos Starfield.”

After walking for a while and realizing that the nuisance behind them was intent on following them all the way to the spaceship, Jia Yan finally turned around helplessly and spoke to the flying monster.

”No, no, no, you definitely will come with me, otherwise, I’ll keep following you until you agree to come,” the old monster replied, shaking his head.

”Are you senile or just unable to understand human speech? Our lord has said he doesn’t want you following. Why do you think you can just follow if you say so?” Kama mocked the now apparently demented old City Lord fearlessly.

”Right, I won’t go with you to the Chaos Starfield, nor will I take you with me. Do you understand now?” Jia Yan rarely agreed with Kama’s words and spoke persuasively this time.

”You can find someone else, but for now, it really is impossible for me to go with you to any Chaos Starfield.”

”No, no, no! Even if you disagree, I will still follow you. I can be your fighter or your subordinate, but you just have to come with me to the Chaos Starfield within half a year. A Starry Sky Level fighter—I believe you’ll need one, won’t you?” the old monster shook his head and insisted.

Starry Sky Level fighter?!

Jia Yan was stunned indeed. Although the old monster was senile, his energy was pulsating and his strength showed no sign of weakness.

Although unsure about his actual combat power, a Starry Sky Level is still a Starry Sky Level. If he had such a strong being as a subordinate, wouldn’t it add a reliable force to his fleet?

However, thinking of the old monster’s muddled state, Jia Yan shook his head again. He did not want to accommodate a ticking bomb by his side.

Moreover, he had no desire whatsoever to go to the so-called Chaos Starfield!

With these thoughts, Jia Yan continued walking forward.

He quickly grabbed Kama and sped up their pace!

Traveling through the city’s alleys, Jia Yan almost turned into an afterimage, increasing his speed to the maximum without getting close to the surrounding buildings!

”Ah! Ah! Ah!” Under Jia Yan’s firm grip, Kama let out a terrified scream! She had previously thought herself quite capable, but only now did she realize that Jia Yan was far more formidable than she had imagined.

However, it seemed that the old monster behind them wasn’t too far behind in speed.

A rumbling noise continuously followed them!

Jia Yan rushed ahead and reached the place where the spaceships were parked, closely followed by the old monster.

”Young man, you’ve really surprised me; your flying skill is excellent. You almost made me unable to keep up,” the old monster, not even out of breath, looked at Jia Yan, seemingly even more satisfied with him.

Jia Yan was also surprised at this old City Lord’s strength. Even though his speed wasn’t at its full strength, navigating at such high speed through the city without colliding into anything was a task of skill, and this old man seemed as if it was no problem at all, which slightly astonished Jia Yan.

It seemed that the old monster’s strength and experience could not be ignored.

”Ah, we have been waiting for a while now.”

Before Jia Yan could say anything to the old monster, a group of creatures, large and small, approached him at the landing site of the flying devices.

”You originally sold so many things. If only you had sold everything through our store, my prices are absolutely fair.”

”Rolf, who doesn’t know you’re the merchant renowned for fleecing people without shedding blood? My friend, you can still change your mind; I’ll buy your goods for half as much more than they offer!”

It turned out that several merchants had arrived because Jia Yan had been slightly delayed at the City Lord Mansion, and they even knew of his plans to sell many supplies separately.

Jia Yan walked forward, about to speak.

”Uh, isn’t this the Lord Mayor? Greetings, Lord Mayor!”

Suddenly, upon seeing the old monster behind Jia Yan, several merchants changed their expressions drastically and performed respectful salutes.

”Mm, hello,” the old monster seemed still oblivious and merely greeted them before turning his attention away.

The merchants, seeing this old City Lord, were almost like rats seeing a cat. They quickly handed over the money, checked the goods in Jia Yan’s spaceship, and then sped away like flying!

Jia Yan had no particular thoughts about this crazed City Lord, but the merchants were different. They eked out a living in this city; even a small security team required cautious interaction, let alone the City Lord.
