Afterward, Jia Yan’s heart grew slightly heavy.

Meanwhile, the swiftly moving Starry Sky Level being’s face lit up with joy.

In the sky not far from them, two monsters that resembled small mountains were hovering in midair, standing in the sky and watching the two combatants.

The massive energy emanating from these two monsters indicated that they were of the same level as Jia Yan—a Starry Sky Level!

Upon seeing the arrival of two Starry Sky Level beings, Jia Yan finally mobilized all his power around him!

Although he didn’t quite believe that the Starry Sky Level monsters here would start a major battle with him over the current issue, it wasn’t impossible. Jia Yan had never underestimated the Strong Ones in this starry sky, so he was now prepared to unleash all his combat power!

”We have no intention of attacking you, mighty Strong One, and we can avoid battle. My subordinate has informed me of the prior incident. It was entirely our fault, so I apologize to you here. I also hope that you won’t take action within the city we’ve struggled to establish, as our losses would be too great.”

Among the two gigantic monsters, the one resembling a huge fox was the one speaking. At this moment, it seemed to be carefully sizing up Jia Yan.

”So your group does have some sensible members. Well, I don’t need your group’s Path of apology. May I know if I am free to leave now?”

Jia Yan was of course aware that the other’s words were not to be trusted, so he still gathered his energy at its peak.

”Of course, you are a valued guest of our Stellar Settlement, and your comings and goings are at your discretion,” said the fox-like being, releasing a string of sounds.

Jia Yan’s expression did not relax as he soared into the sky!

The impulsive thought surged in the heart of the swiftly moving Starry Sky Level being at that moment!

But the Fox Monster seemed to send out a string of Brainwave Power messages to it, causing it to abruptly stop its pursuit.

As Jia Yan flew higher, his Brainwave Power sense told him that no one was following.

But he didn’t show even a hint of joy, knowing that what was to come would definitely not be so simple.

Because from the demeanor of that fox-like monster, he detected a trace of murderous intent!

Just as the other had said, if the two monsters had truly attacked him earlier, that would have meant an impossible battle of life and death. But since they hadn’t made a move and still displayed killing intent, allowing him to leave instead, it could only mean they truly did not want an encounter in their base area and were planning on taking action somewhere else!

”What is this all about? I came here simply to find out a bit more about this Starfield...” Jia Yan felt somewhat helpless.

He knew that their biggest reason to attack was his previous use of Brainwave Power to knock away the swift Starry Sky Level being. After all, what such an organization needed most was face. From prior understanding, he knew that this organization did have some influence in this stretch of starry sky. And for someone to directly slap their face to such a degree, Jia Yan might not be able to accept it either!

”What if I tell them the earlier mistake was due to unfamiliarity with the Armor; I wonder if they would let me off the hook?...” Jia Yan thought with a wry smile.

However, he wasn’t actually harboring any real hopes for that.

His flying speed was not fast since he knew the others would not attack his settlement; he was content to fly somewhat slower.

”Hmm? It’s that merchant!” Jia Yan’s sharp eyes saw a small scale battle unfolding on the ground, and the one facing a life-and-death situation was the merchant who had sold him the Armor.

After a moment of thought, Jia Yan dove down just as several Earth Level creatures were about to overpower the merchant!

He didn’t directly attack the assailants, but instead grabbed the merchant with his forelimb and flew up into the sky!

”Spare my life, spare my life! I really don’t know that damn Monster at all!”

The merchant babbled on, begging loudly for mercy as Jia Yan whisked him away.

”All right, you’re not going to die, stop shouting,” Jia Yan scolded with a mix of laughter and exasperation.

”Uh...” The short-statured creature opened its eyes to discover it was high in the sky.

Looking back and realizing that it was Jia Yan holding him, his expression changed dramatically!

”My Lord, it is you! I knew you wouldn’t just stand by and watch me die,” he said, quickly shifting his demeanor to offer obsequious compliments to Jia Yan.

”Weren’t I a damn Monster? How come I’m ’My Lord’ now?” Jia Yan said, watching the merchant with an amused expression, speaking lightly.

”No, no, My Lord, that was just a temporary measure. You are without a doubt the existence I admire most,” the merchant hurriedly explained.

”Alright, you don’t need to say anything else. I’ll have some questions for you later. Until then, I’ll ensure your safety,” Jia Yan suddenly lost the desire to talk to him any further.

During the flight, the battle ceased for a while, but Jia Yan knew that the others’ gaze never relaxed from him, constantly roaming over him.

Upon reaching the dock of the spaceship, he looked closely but saw no trace of tampering, presumably because there wasn’t enough time for anyone to meddle in such a short period.

Using his Smart Brain, Jia Yan opened the spaceship and brought the merchant inside with him.

”My Lord, have you settled things? Are we safe now...?” the merchant contained himself for a while but finally couldn’t help asking.

”Hehe, safe? Perhaps,” Jia Yan said, no longer in the mood to talk much.

He then began to operate the spaceship.

Engaging the Starry Sky Level expert piloting mode for the spaceship.

Humming sounds began to emanate...

The spaceship started to lift off gradually.

However, just as the spaceship reached about one kilometer above the settlement’s altitude—

A bright bolt of attacking light suddenly shot towards them!

”You can’t escape!”

The vicious voice carried over the communicator’s public channel, transmitting to the soaring vessel!

At the same time, several colossal metal figures shot up into the sky.
