Reborn As An Interstellar Giant Mosquito

Chapter 868: Chapter 28: Illegal Settlement [Subscribe Requested]_3

It didn’t take long for Jia Yan to discover it!

Everyone here was making trades, and they were all blatantly illegal!

”Catalyst for the Strong, Energy Sources, and some prohibited weapons are all available here. Very interesting!” Jia Yan looked at the seemingly legitimate transactions and finally understood that all the deals happening here were illicit, and the reason so many Strong Ones were gathered here was precisely because of the nature of the trades!

”Lord, I see your Armor is about to fall apart. How about you come and check mine out? It’s equipped with the smallest Battleship artillery, a rarity in the whole world!”

A Monster suddenly appeared beside Jia Yan in a secretive manner, softly calling out to him as if holding something incredibly powerful in its hands.

”Oh? You have such Armor? Show me,” Jia Yan glanced at the other party and then spoke indifferently.

He also felt that his Armor, after undergoing transformation, would definitely become nourishment and get absorbed. If the other party had better Armor, it wouldn’t hurt to take a look - better safe than sorry.

The Monster didn’t look like any of the Strong Ones. It was less than one meter tall and trembled as it walked.

It led Jia Yan to a building that looked like a ruin, and the Monster pressed a button to open the large door of the house.

Jia Yan had thought the other party might play a trick on him, but it appeared that wasn’t the case.

Inside the building, he saw a set of Armor that was polished but still rusty at the joints.

The Armor was now laid out flat, but Jia Yan knew that this kind of Armor, like the cockpit of his aircraft, could fit the user well as long as the size difference wasn’t too great.

”Lord, this is the Armor I want to sell. Did you notice how good the metal material is? And it’s equipped with rare Battleship artillery. With this artillery, even if facing a Battleship, you’ll have some retaliatory capability and make the enemy hesitate to pursue,” the Monster bragged profusely as it introduced the Armor.

However, Jia Yan noticed that some areas of the Armor were covered in dust, clearly not a sign of a powerful item; otherwise, it wouldn’t remain unsold for so long, nor would it have fallen into the hands of this merchant!

”Enough with the boasting. Tell me directly about the Armor’s shortcomings. If they are not too severe, I believe it wouldn’t be collecting dust here,” Jia Yan said, shaking his head.

The small Monster hesitated for a moment, then awkwardly conceded, ”Lord, you indeed understand things clearly. This Armor is ingeniously designed, supposedly by a nation in the Northern Star Domain for a Starry Sky Level Expert before their downfall. But it was designed too hastily without sufficient consideration for Energy, so its Energy System can’t support the Armor during battle. Once fully charged, it might sustain full-power combat for only about three minutes...”

”Three minutes?...” Upon hearing this, Jia Yan immediately shook his head, wanting to leave.

Armor that could only fight for three minutes? His own Armor had sustained much longer in battle without running out of Energy. Although its boost to his strength was limited, it still provided a substantial benefit.

But Armor that could only fight for three minutes was not suitable for his needs. It might be powerful within those three minutes, but what about after? Such Armor would just be a burden. Jia Yan knew that normally, Armor wasn’t something that could easily be taken off for safety reasons.

”Lord, besides the three minutes, this Armor can also utilize the Brainwave Power of its wearer for combat support. Of course, the combat power it can exert will depend on the wearer’s Brainwave Power strength and endurance. You should know it can significantly amplify Brainwave Power!” Seeing Jia Yan about to walk away, the Monster hurriedly shouted.

”Oh? It can be driven by Brainwave Power too?” Hearing this, Jia Yan’s Compound Eyes suddenly sparkled, and he turned back around!

Armor that could only fight for three minutes wasn’t particularly appealing to him, nor necessary, but if the Armor could also be powered by Brainwave Power, that would be a different story.

However, he assumed there must be significant limitations; otherwise, given the number of Strong Ones with powerful Brainwave Power, it wouldn’t be his turn to come and buy it.

Sure enough, a hint of embarrassment crept onto the Monster’s face.

”Well, it can be driven by Brainwave Power, but at most, a Starry Sky Level Expert could operate it for an hour, and that too at a lower combat level. During this period, it will continuously drain the wearer’s Brainwave Power until the wearer stops transmitting Brainwave Power, or the Brainwave Power is completely exhausted,” the Monster said, a bit sheepishly.

The frail Monster was quite embarrassed. Acquiring this Armor cost nearly all its fortune, and it had thought it had found a treasure. Even after knowing the Armor’s flaws, it had believed a Strong One would purchase it for a high price.

That’s because the Armor’s ’three minutes’ of combat power was essentially a cheat code in battle – during those three minutes, depending on the user’s capability, the Armor might raise the user’s level by a small stage at most!

Three minutes of massive improvement, from Early Star Level to Mid-Galaxy Level, would be unbelievable.

So the Monster had thought it would make a fortune.

But in reality, it got a harsh slap in the face!
