Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3272 Mingzhiʼs Business

Davis stepped out of his master bedroom and saw no one there.

It was quite peculiar, considering that they should know he would come out anytime soon after the kids woke up and ran away. His lips curled, wondering if they planned to allow him to choose who he wanted for the day.

Even in the hallways, no one was present, making him feel that they were all more or less in their rooms, awaiting his presence.

However, he walked out of the mansion and saw Schleya staring at the location where they last stood and almost kissed before it was accidentally interrupted by Mingzhi.

”Perfect timing.”

He uttered as he appeared next to her, causing Schleya to almost jump as her heart leaped. She turned to look around, her crimson-black hair swerving along with her movement while her ears appeared to have turned red.

”I- I was just-”

”Come with me. I have a few things to do.”

Davis caught her wrist and stepped to the side, breaking through space with his hand as he directly appeared before the exit.

Yotan was present at the scene, so he was able to leave without a problem. After all, without the device to control the myriad of formations, he wouldnʼt be able to leave easily. Only Evelynn and Yotan had that as they looked after the security of the island and their mansion.

From the distance, two women gathered in the skies as they looked into the distance.

One wore a green robe and the other black.

”He escaped.”

”Indeed. He escaped.”

Fiora uttered, causing Mingzhi to nod slowly before shrugging.

”Well, he has many things to do first as a responsible man. I also said for him to take care of things before coming here to partake in us, but why he grabbed Schleya instead of one of us is irking me.”

”Is that jealousy I see, Mingzhi?” Fiora raised her brows as she smirked.

”Whatever~” Mingzhi pouted, ”He must have his reasons. I also accidentally disturbed their union last time, so this time, she better get him instead of wasting time. Ah~ Iʼm nearing my limit…”

She fell on Fiora, causing Fiora to giggle, but she also resonated as she wanted to feel his touch so badly that, at this point, they were already edging in anticipation.

”But… it seems like we wonʼt be getting him anytime soon.”

Mingzhiʼs words entered her ears as she pushed her away and turned to look around, sensing a myriad of auras fluctuating after his disappearance.

Fioraʼs eyes glazed, knowing that the chances she could warm his bed tonight were not high.

From the missing auras, she could see Dalila, Tina, Bylai, and Sophie retreated from wanting him as they did have their time with Davis in the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm.

However, she couldnʼt sense the aura of her elder sister. She narrowed her eyes, feeling that it was strange that she wasnʼt all over Davis at the moment.

Besides, she was not there with them back when Davis disappeared and reappeared.

”Mingzhi, did you see my elder sister Natalya?”

”Of course. Sheʼs with Tia.”

”I see.”

With Mingzhiʼs utterance, Fiora relaxed.

”Well, you can have darling if you want. Iʼll go train with Zephya for the time being, and if you got him, send me a message, and Iʼll sneak in~”

”Sure. See you around~”

Mingzhi grinned with a knowing smile as she waved Fiora goodbye, but soon enough, she took a messaging talisman and got a resounding transmission.

”Codename Nighthawk, I located the remnants of the Jade Lotus Valley. Iʼll continue to search for the targets.”

”Understood, Codename Bluelotus. Also, even if youʼre a soul body, be careful.”

”I know.”

Came a reply before the messaging talisman lost its light, causing Mingzhi to blink.

There was no need to say ʼCodenameʼ, right?

However, she shook her head.

ʼWhy the sudden need to search for those two is beyond me. Sending Natalyaʼs soul body instead of her avatar works, as sheʼs friends with them… but I donʼt understand the need to hide it from Davis... However, if thatʼs what Tia, our karmic guardian, wants, then I guess we must fulfill it...ʼ

Mingzhi imagined that she must have her own thoughts. It was also confirmed that Tia wasnʼt possessed but probably received a revelation of some kind, so she chose to listen to her and moved the intelligence network she had established to work for her.

However, they couldnʼt just go looking for the Jade Lotus Valley as it was destroyed a year ago, and its remnants are still hunted down.

She had just learned that two hours ago after looking for information on the Jade Lotus Valley.

Besides, the intelligence network she established was shared with other intelligence networks, so the intelligence personnel who worked for her werenʼt solely working for her. Hence, the need to send someone trustworthy to check, and that someone was Natalya.

Mingzhi couldnʼt help but feel a sense of loss as it was possible that those two already died.

ʼIvy Aries and Jade Aurora… are you two somehow important to us…?ʼ

She narrowed her eyes, looking into the distance in the direction where Davis left.

=======

”You were saying…?”

In the skies of the Aurora Cloud Gate, Davis and Schleya were zooming past the wondrous scenery of the islands and its ecosystem, heading their way to one of the islands.

”I had just come back from a mission Mingzhi gave me to clear some mercenaries who were attacking our branches established in some cities.”

”Why?” Davis raised his brows, ”Did you kill them?”

”No.” Schleyaʼs gaze flashed, ”I let them off with a limb each.”

”…”

”As for the reason they attacked, that would be competition from the other intelligence networks.”

”I see.”

Davis nodded.

His women seemed to be doing their own thing, starting with Mingzhi, not that he was aversed to it as this was fruitful for the family, not to mention it was like starting their own businesses.

”Donʼt worry.” Schleya moved her lips again, ”No one knows I belong to you, and neither does anyone know whoʼs the mastermind of our intelligence network. Weʼre also careful not to let that up. Therefore, no one knows that our intelligence network, Black Claymore, is related to you.”

”…” Davis blinked, ”I see.”

Did she just casually insert a ʼI belong to youʼ and act like nothing happened?

Considering that it was Schleya, he guessed that she didnʼt even realize.

Nonetheless, he finally appeared on an island and looked at a note quickly drawn by Yotan as she gave him directions to Drakeʼs island.

Drake was a core disciple, so the island was bound to be populated by many disciples, not that he cared as he descended onto the island and made his way to Drakeʼs abode.
