Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3250 Encouragement

”Legion Master~”

Yotan called out as she went on one knee upon noticing Davisʼs return, cupping her hands.

”Welcome back to your small empire. We have kept Young Mistress Tia in an isolated space within the island and well guarded by our Reaper Soul Legion. Mistress Ellia is also monitoring her, trying to help as much as she could.” She reported, but her usual smile wasnʼt on her face, her voice resounding with solemness.

”Well done.”

Davis nodded at her as he paused. He appeared like he wanted to say something with his mouth slightly parted but eventually shook his head.

”Keep her safe and protected for the time being. Even if she is possessed, donʼt harm her as much as you can. Iʼll go see what happened to Clara first as she seems to be relentlessly awake, unlike Tia…”

”As you please, Legion Master.”

Yotan stood back up, dropping her respectful posture as she watched him leave. A faint layer of sorrow remained in her eyes as she saw his expressionless face, wondering why he must be faced with this kind of return when she knew this news should be hurting him inside.

She wanted to do something, but there was nothing she could help with other than protecting Tiaʼs life.

Eventually, Davis and the others moved out of her gaze, causing her to close the island. There was no one else who could enter now, not even the Elders who were looking at them from afar as the islandʼs defenses had been improved by Saintess Lunariaʼs command, although the command was publicly known to be given by Elder Aradiel Furiose.

There was also the matter of Evelynn and Clara.

The de facto leader of the island was Evelynn, but like Davis trusting her with the islandʼs security, that trust was also directly placed on her by Evelynn, causing her to firmly protect the ones she cared about, that she would defend this island with her life no matter what.

”Reapers, even if you were to lose your life this day, protect the Legion Masterʼs Family at all costs!”

”Yes!”

Roared Threelotus, Praezen, Lightsky, Starlily, and the entire divisions of the Reaper Soul Legion, their loud and ardent voices practically brewing a storm as it extended out in all directions of the floating island. Surprisingly, all their undulations were at the Late Immortal King Stage, only a few levels away from reaching the Immortal Emperor Stage.

Naturally, they had double the manpower due to all of them using the Solitary Soul Avatar technique, so their main bodies were mostly in cultivation all day long, sometimes even using time chambers that increased the speed of time by two or three times, although it took a lot of immortal crystals to buy small abodes embedded with time formations that maintain a faster rate of time, making them expend thousands of Mid-Level Immortal Crystals by the hour for them to be able to actually use it.

One could say that they even overthrew the ridiculous spending rate of alchemists who were buying ingredients to fund their alchemy practice. But of course, the entire Reaper Soul Legion were also disciples of the Aurora Cloud Gate by this time, so their high earnings matched their expenditure as they completed missions in groups, not burdening their Legion Masterʼs Family at all other than for some special resources reserved for the three Captains, Vice Commander Threelotus and Commander Yotan.

Therefore, although their individual prowess could not compare to the Davis Family, their combined prowess using spirit formations might very well reach the Mid-Level Immortal Emperor Stage! That was a feat required of a Peak-Level Immortal King Stage cultivator to be eight levels higher in prowess!

This was only possible due to their Legion Commander being able to rise above seven levels to battle! Her comprehension of Light Laws had reached the staggering level of Level Two Quiddity a while ago. This was due to the fact she was allowed to train in the Nine-Treasured Immortal Ordeal Palaceʼs time chamber that increased the flow of time by ten times, as well as procuring special resources obtained by the powerful wives of their Legion Master like Tanya and Isabella.

Boasting such prowess, they were all ready to stake their lives in this chaotic situation where someone possibly possessed Young Mistress Tia and could possibly attack them using who knows what method, considering their enemies like three outsiders who are extremely dangerous that their Legion Master simply yet straightforwardly told them to run upon encountering such monsters so they do not meaninglessly sacrifice their lives.

At the eastern side of the floating island named the Phantasm Verge Alliance Island due to all or most of their members living in it, Davis finally appeared before his mansion.

”Davis…”

Shirley and a few others were waiting for him, causing him to inform the ones behind him to go do their own thing and not worry. His tone was wry, but they could tell he was not feeling good, suppressing his pain.

However, Davis simply walked over and hugged Shirley, kissing her cheek and telling her to not worry like everyone else before. He also told Myria to wait for him and mingle with the others as he didnʼt want Clara to be aggravated or Myria to feel awkward as she told him this was going to happen sooner or later.

He was also worried some changes might occur within Clara and Tia if two Anarchic Divergents were to check on them, so he wanted to check first, continuing to make his way towards his destination.

Eventually, he reached the chamber Clara was locked in and met with someone he didnʼt expect to see when he returned from the Astral Forgeheart Minor Realm.

”Father…”

”Davis… you…”

Logan was dumbfounded as he wasnʼt informed of Davisʼs arrival. However, his wide eyes and stunned expression eventually produced a wide grin amidst the sorrow dwelling in his heart.

”Fortunately, youʼre alive. Otherwise, I wouldnʼt know what to say to your mother…”

”Haha…”

Davis finally laughed with a low voice, slapping his forehead.

”I heard you got fooled and thrashed by Accursed Warlock. Iʼm sorry I let this happen when all I wanted was for you to live a happy life with mother.”

”…” Loganʼs heart shook as he heard Davisʼs low voice. His expression turned volatile.

”What are you saying!? Donʼt consider yourself to be a mythical deity from the legends! Thereʼs a limit to how much you can protect others when you havenʼt even grown to the apex! Actually, coming this far with zero causalities in a world as ridiculous as this is beyond my comprehension that I have nothing but the greatest respect for you, so donʼt you ever apologize to anyone for any reason!”

”…!”

Davis stood there stunned, not expecting his father to have become so passionate. However, he saw his father suddenly become self-aware and pointed at him.

”Fuck! I got old! You better not let me say something this embarrassing ever again, so get it together and go cure your precious little sister!”

”Why donʼt you go do it!?” Davis swiftly retorted.

”I believe the only one who can do it… is my son!”

Logan spoke ardently, the both of them staring at each other before Davis clenched his fist.

”Go die!”

Davis punched out, causing Logan to fly out like a kite that had its strings cut. He flew a few hundred meters down the hallway and crashed into the wall, sliding down as he spat out a mouthful of blood.

”Aha! As I expected… youʼre truly powerful!”

Logan couldnʼt help but delightfully roar at Davis despite him feeling his organs shake. He rushed his cultivation, but he was still a Peak-Level Immortal King character who could take on an average Level One Immortal Emperor at the very least with his comprehension that had yet to catch up to the Immortal King Grade, so his sonʼs casual force was truly eye-opening for him.

After all, no one bothered to fight or even spar with him in respect for his affiliation as the father of the Emperor of Death, making him feel frustrated.

But with this, he finally felt that his efforts had been rewarded. His son was still alive and probably came back even stronger than when he left.

Honestly, Logan felt a lot of burden coming off his shoulders the moment he saw Davis. It was like he was carefree again, making a part of his gloomy mood disappear while even making his thoughts clear. Now, with this punch, he knew what he should do, causing him to stand up and appear before his son.

”Davis… did you know that little lass asked Saintess Lunaria to kill her if she ever dares to harm any other, much less if she completely loses her mind?”

”…”

Davisʼs gaze flickered, causing Logan to nod.

”Donʼt you ever mistake that your little sister gave up because she didnʼt, and Evelynn didnʼt fail on the treatment according to herself, you understand? I highly speculate that thereʼs something deep hidden along the lines, but I nor Ellia could see what truly transpired. Perhaps… you might be able to figure it out with your otherworldly senses.”

Logan solemnly warned, causing Davis to heave a breath before he nodded.

”I understand.”

The father patted the son on his shoulder before the son turned around and pushed the door open, stepping into the chamber with a heavy heart.
