Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 3257 A Small Trouble

Davis sensed Evelynnʼs location.

She seemed to be with the children as far as his soul sense could reach within the mansion. She seemed to be with a few others as well, making him wonder if she was scared or if the others made her sit along with the children so he wouldnʼt get mad easily because of Claraʼs situation.

The defensive maneuvers they took to hide her truly made him feel warmth. After all, in a harem, most women would want to see the others suffer, especially if it was the first wife, the true Empress.

However, he wondered if he should act all offended and tease them. That would be a scene he wished to see as well, but considering that Evelynn was pregnant, he voted against it.

Walking in the hallways, he was halfway to the destination when he was suddenly intercepted by a dark ghost.

*Bang!~*

A fist struck his abdomen, causing him to open his mouth and bend as though he had taken a critical hit.

However, a black-robed woman manifested before him, taking back her fist as she blew on her fist.

”Donʼt act! Itʼs my fist thatʼs hurting as though it hit a metal.”

Mingzhi complained, but Davis directly fell on her shoulder, causing her to hold him. Her Peak-Level Immortal King undulations receded, causing her to caress his head with her hand, brushing his blond hair with her fingers.

”I hope you succeeded in saving Clara and Tia. Well done, darling~”

”Word reaches fast in this mansion, huh?” Davisʼs lips curled as he rested in Mingzhiʼs embrace.

”Oh my, you donʼt know how fast it travels with the information network I established here.”

”Is that so?”

”Just kidding. Ellia already informed me before disappearing to who knows where, but I have established an information network in a few places outside the Aurora Cloud Gate. I heard no one besides our group returned from the secret realm because you were the main culprit who locked them inside.”

”Idiots starting to falsely accuse me already? Figures…” Davis shook his head.

”Well, no one confirmed the rumors, some even denying it, but the rumors continue to spread. Canʼt do anything about it, as information war tends to favor falsehoods, but thereʼs another matter Iʼm personally interested in. I heard that one of the Celestial Fairies, Fairy Aila Cherryweave, confessed that you are her love, making incredible waves than the rumor of you blocking the other geniuses from returning. Did your Rizzsurrection Laws succeed without even having to use it?”

Mingzhi bit her lips as she pulled on his ear, causing Davis to chuckle.

”Ow~ ow~ Aha. Itʼd be like that…”

Davis knew Mingzhi was getting jealous as she didnʼt want him to have more women, at least not without a good reason. He respected her wishes and would listen to her as he was already satisfied, but the two Celestial Fairies were lovable, precious, and quite the dream of any man, making him find it pitiable if he were to not accept them.

”Fine, but you need to spend more time with me.” She demanded with upturned eyes.

When he turned to look at her, he saw she had a big, needy pout, causing him to lift her up.

”Then shall we go make love now?”

Mingzhiʼs cheeks burned from being princess carried, but she harrumphed, pecked his lips, and spun away from his hold, landing on the ground.

”First, go see big sister Evelynn, soothe her in whatever way possible, and leave that spirit child you brought somewhere else. She already burned down a mansion in our land and has alerted a few Guardians with her Immortal Emperor undulations, although Lea pleaded to the Void Dust Empress that she got the situation under control. Then you can come to see me, ravage me~”

She grinned before disappearing from his gaze, appearing to have concealed herself with Darkness Laws. The funny thing was he could still sense her location, but he stretched his body and clenched his fists, yawning with a huge smile.

”Gosh, I canʼt wait.”

He said with eagerness but chuckled in danger.

Calypsea being a menace didnʼt change. The materials here werenʼt able to endure her heat, and unless Calypsea could fully control her flames, he could see himself playing fire truck simulator here, going around to snuff out the flames. Nonetheless, since the situation hadnʼt gone out of control, he knew Calypsea absorbed back the flames, so he should have some time to get her out before the problem becomes bigger.

Moreover, this visitation perk was only for a week, so leaving wasnʼt an issue.

He proceeded to walk ahead, turning numerous corners before finally arriving in Nieraʼs room.

It seemed like half of the family was gathered here, causing Davis to inwardly chuckle before he stepped into the well-decorated room.

”Ah~ My Emperor, youʼre back!”

”Is Clara and Tia well?”

Isabella and Shirley stepped forward with worried expressions on their faces.

He didnʼt know if they received information or not already but nodded his head.

”Everything is fine at the moment. Tia is awake and doing good while Clara has regained her self, although sheʼs still sleeping.”

The worried expressions of the ladies receded, replaced with relieved faces.

”When you return, everything is resolved.”

”Thatʼs our man.”

Isabella and Shirley stated with pride before Shirley stepped forward.

”Davis, I took care of Mistress Flamerose and Mistress Frostrose. They have successfully stepped into King-Tier, becoming Queens of their species, but-”

”But what?”

Shirley paused, causing Davis to ask.

”They werenʼt able to become Immortal Emperor Beasts. From this, it could be seen that they are also Candidates.”

”Oh?”

Davis reacted with some surprise. However, he didnʼt think that this was strange, considering the Candidates were limited to the Immortal King Stage until the Candidacy ended. It made sense, as every other Candidate was also stuck in the Immortal King level.

Regardless, with this information, he came to understand that Zahara and Yeyin would be able to participate in the Candidacy. With their combined might exuding Icefire Laws, they would easily reach seven levels higher in prowess.

”My Emperor, I apologize.” Isabella came forward, ”I wasnʼt able to save father-in-law when he got captured by Accursed Warlock and even— made the decision to abandon him.”

She lowered her head as though confessing a wrong, her voice seething with guilt.
