Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2845  Addressing The Issue At Hand

ʼWhat the hell… have I shot myself in the foot…? When did this banquet turn from one of signing a minor Blood Soul Contract to a congregation of major alliances from all over the First Haven World…?ʼ

Davis was inwardly stumped.

Initially, this celebratory banquet was nothing more than a peace treaty between him and the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan for the sake of the inheritors. Other than that, there was some news that the Dragon Alliance and Phoenix Alliance might show up as a form of respect.

However, he never thought so many alliances would appear, making it so that the waters started running deep, becoming muddled than any kind of river he had seen.

Perhaps, the news of his ʼdeathʼ had an effect on fate more than he could possibly think.

Nonetheless, he didnʼt feel disheartened nor disoriented as no matter who came, it didnʼt matter to him, except he felt like he would be offending those powers as well if he made a move, which made it a bit of a slippery slope where he could offend the entire world with the slightest mistake.

ʼHmm… my initial plan might not be enough anymore...ʼ

Davis wondered if he should have a change of plan.

However, like before, he was willing to go with the flow as long as it didnʼt impact his overall desires, and what he wanted was for the Fire Phoenix Clan and the Earth Dragon Clan to reconcile with his women and also promise Flameroseʼs safety.

However, whether that would come to fruition remained to be seen, especially since he had ʼdiedʼ, they might just let out their true intents leak into the Blood Soul Contract that could be brought up any moment in order to be signed in front of the public eyes.

In one way, he felt that it was beneficial that the other powers were here as well so they could clown on Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clan if they were to suddenly change their tune.

Nonetheless, he felt that Ancestor Zenflame calling Shirley by his name was still a good sign as far as he could see.

Soon, in half an hour or so, the powers that were seated became well-organized thanks to the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clanʼs hosting capabilities. Because they were the two most powerful clans in the Dragon and Phoenix Alliance, priding themselves on offense and defense within their respective alliances, they had more say even when opposing alliances sat in the same space as them.

There was a strange moment of silence before everyone could see Patriarch Killian Zenflame and Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder rise to a platform in the center, similar to the one in the Central Primesky Allianceʼs first event.

The two of them looked at each other before one of them turned to look at the crowd.

”Everyone, I, Patriarch of the Fire Phoenix Clan, Killian Zenflame, gladly welcome you to this banquet filled with opportunities and feasts. As individual powers or alliances, we may have much to bicker about, but I suggest that we temporarily forget about all that and have a toast together, for it may bring us closer together to a peaceful front like the ancient figures wished for us.”

A hundred or so cups were lifted high, filling the hall with a sweet aroma. Then Patriarch Killian Zenflame solemnly bowed, saying, ”To the prosperity of our First Haven World!”

”To the prosperity of our First Haven World!~~~”

The booming voice of hundreds and thousands of Immortals and Immortal Kings left everyone they chugged the cups filled with spirit wine or other exotic drinks.

Davis acted no different, sharing a drink with them with a happy-go-lucky smile.

However, he also saw that there were also some powers who didnʼt move, much less toast.

Patriarch Killian Zenflame shook his cupped hands at the people while he ignored the others who didnʼt react to his speech. He then looked at power, causing Davisʼs brows to spring up.

”I also thank the Aurora Cloud Gate for allowing us to set up a banquet in our borders and allowing many powers to participate in it. But most importantly, I feel immense gratitude to the Aurora Cloud Gate for allowing our inheritors to reunite with us.”

An Aurora Cloud Gateʼs Elder stood up. It wasnʼt Elder Aradiel Furiose or the other three elders but an elder from the External Affairs Department.

”I am Elder Faithsink of the External Affairs Department of the Aurora Cloud Gate, and currently in charge of the decisions taken here by the Aurora Cloud Gate today. Naturally, the Aurora Cloud Gate does not wish to stand in between the scuffle between inheritors and their powers, but we also wish that things donʼt go overboard.”

”Thatʼs natural.” Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder smiled as he slightly glanced to look at Isabella, ”Although the Young Emperor of Death is no more, our words uttered to him still stay.”

”Thatʼs promising to hear.” Elder Faithsink nodded, becoming seated.

However, everyone could see Patriarch Klavius Rocksunder shiver ever so lightly before moving his gaze away from her.

Some people couldnʼt help but wonder if something else was on the Earth Dragon Patriarchʼs mind. However, they suddenly saw the entire Earth Dragon Clan behaving strangely, whispering and speaking in hushed tones while gazing at Isabella.

Meanwhile, Isabella was as proud and relaxed as ever, handling herself with grace and nobility as she remained seated like an Empress.

ʼThe fact that Isabella has Emperor-Tier Earth Dragon Bloodline should be blatantly hitting their faces now...ʼ

Davis inwardly laughed. He initially saw the Earth Dragon Clan being confused or dismayed, so the Fire Phoenix Clan had no choice but to take the initiative in giving the opening speech.

ʼNow then… will your choices be any different…?ʼ

He leaned back and waited to see the show that would decide the fate of the banquet, but then suddenly, Panqa and Lanqua began feeding him with small grape-sized peaches as they held them in front of his face, causing him to blink.

However, he opened his mouth, accepting their peaches.

”Mhm~ This tastes good. I wonder what it is…?” Davis asked, sounding ignorant.

”This is…”

As Lanqua began explaining the delicacies she offered to him one by one, Davisʼs gaze stayed on the happenings.

Patriarch Killian Zenflame uttered crap while addressing many alliances that had paid them a visit. All of it was informative, but that didnʼt change the fact that it was a drag, except until the moment when Patriarch Killian Zenflame looked in his direction and went all smiles.

”Soaren Goldsun, itʼs been a long time since we met. I heard your Golden Crow Clan became a part of the newly formed Central Primesky Alliance now. Is that true?”

shaken, but a hint of excitement also filled the air, causing almost all of them to be full of smiles as
