Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2825 Hands On The Table

Davis walked towards Yilla Zyrus and sat down opposite her.

She was veil-less, her lips appearing velvety red, giving him a hint of temptation to her already bewitching posture that leaned over the table, not to mention her deep, intoxicating purple eyes that was just in his strike zone trying to embrace him into her world.

Taking a look again, Davis felt that this woman was as seductive as his Evelynn and elegant as Isabella. The devilish charm she emitted naturally could not be easily replicated, not even by Mingzhi.

Nonetheless, he waited for her to speak first, reaching out his hand to grab the tea that was poured for him.

As soon as he clutched the tea cupʼs handle, Yilla Zyrus suddenly crossed her hand with his, blocking him from pulling his hand back and the tea along with it.

Davis raised his brows, wondering what her problem was, when he suddenly saw her smile lightly, her visage turning to that of an alluring woman.

”Mixed within this tea is a potent Immortal King Grade aphrodisiac that would bestow you endless desire. If any one of us drinks it, thereʼs no turning back for a few days at the very least~”

She spoke in an enticing tone, leaving Davis feeling a little heated.

Even if he wanted to drink this right now, there was no way he was going to waste a few days as he had the main banquet to go to.

However, he couldnʼt tell what Yilla Zyrus had in mind by revealing this information to him. He was just about to check the tea with his own senses but she revealed it before he could, putting him in a passive position.

Yilla Zyrus leaned back while possessing a faint grin on her velvety lips that just seemed to be asking to be bitten. She slightly perked up her bosoms with her arm and placed her right armʼs elbow on the back of her left hand, and poked her cheek.

”Mo Tian, you already know that Iʼm interested in you, so I want to know… are you interested in me?”

”No.”

Yilla Zyrus smiled as she received the same rejection as before.

”I find that hard to believe. Surely, I must be worth something in your eyes.”

”Donʼt get me wrong. You are indeed a woman whom many men will toil their whole life, perhaps even wrong their families in order to obtain a beauty such as you. However, I have no need to do such a thing as I am already fulfilled.”

”You are married?”

Yilla Zyrusʼs smile deepened. She didnʼt appear surprised at all, giving the same reaction as Panqa and Lanqua.

”Perhaps.” However, Davis shrugged this time instead of telling the truth as he did before.

However, he wasnʼt naive enough to tell the entire truth, as he did lie to Panqa and Lanqua that his wives were still in the place where he ascended from.

”Quite the mysterious man you are. At first, people suspected that you were an Anarchic Divergent. Second, people suspected that you were a Saint. However, something tells me youʼre… both. Am I right?”

Yilla Zyrusʼs smile became profound, but Davisʼs expression was as blank as ever.

”Letʼs just say I am what you say I am. What are you going to do about it?”

”Well,” Yilla Zyrusʼs smile abruptly faded, replaced with solemness, ”I was going to ask you to destroy the Zyrus Family in exchange for my everything if you were an Anarchic Divergent.”

”…?”

Davis finally showed some reaction, looking amused. However, Yilla Zyrus continued.

”My family… you saw what happened. They stole my own darkness spirit from me, and now they want me to seduce you and have your child?”

She trembled, her purple eyes flashing with darkness, ”Since they want you so much, I just want to ruin everything here and now despite my heart having an interest in a man for the first time. Do you know what this feels like?”

”You came here to vent your problems at me?”

”…”

Yilla Zyrusʼs expression slightly froze. She found herself leaning closer towards him, almost spilling the tea in between them. However, reeling back and reclining, she appeared to calm herself.

”My apologies. I got a bit emotional right there. This never happened in front of anyone, much less a man, but I guess that is what it means to like someone.”

She frowned, appearing confused, before she shook her head, gesturing at the table.

”As you can see, I am extremely irritated and angered enough to take revenge against my own family as I act willfully or let my family have its way. You have two choices placed in front of you. If you drink the tea, then you can seal my fate as your woman and fulfill the wishes of the Zyrus Family. If you donʼt drink it, then consider that you can never have this chance again as I start to move against my family. Utmost, I will be banished into the Shadow Prison for my wrongdoings and perhaps be used as a dual cultivation slave...”

”You want me to choose your fate for you?”

Davisʼs lips twitched as he knew that this woman was serious.

Yilla Zyrusʼs expression churned as she imagined all the consequences, but hearing Davisʼs question, she couldnʼt help but reveal a crazy glint in her eyes.

”Youʼre incredibly strong and seem worthy in my eyes, so Iʼll let you decide my fate.”

”Sigh, whatever you do, I wish you good luck, but stay smart about it as if you really want to take revenge against them, then know that these kinds of dishes are best served cold, but not long enough that it starts to rot instead.”

”…!”

Davis stood up and patted Yilla Zyrusʼs head, stunning her for a moment. However, before she even realized what had happened, Mo Tian had already left the room, leaving her sitting dumbfounded.

ʼWas I just rejected when I practically threw myself at him…?ʼ

A slow yet mountainous realization struck her soul, causing her to shudder but, at the same time, wryly smile.

Even though she couldnʼt tell how many men she had rejected but faced rejection for the first time, she now knew why those men behaved irrationally when they heard her say no.

ʼIt hurts… but it shouldnʼt be hurting as bad as what Darkshade could be experiencing right now...ʼ

Yilla Zyrus remembered her Mystic Moonlight Cloud Spirit who was taken away without her consent. She smothered a heart full of anger at her family for being so uncaring towards her, only wanting to use her for her beauty and ability and not treating her right as a member of the family.

She left the tea as it was and left the palace, heading back to the Zyrus Familyʼs Palace, where the alliance event was going on before she encountered her Patriarch.

”Youʼre back soon. What happened?”

”What else? Mo Tian went to shit, and in the meantime, the tea I brewed became cold, so I was unable to seduce him.”

”…”

Yilla Zyrus nonchalantly spoke and left as though she was too angered to even explain herself properly, leaving behind a group of elders who blinked at each other, not knowing how to perceive the crassness in this response.

Nonetheless, they turned to look at the battle stage and saw that the sixth and final segment was going to start as the fifth segment, Essence Prowess, was over!
