Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2829 Demanding A Challenge

”I… Iʼm doing fine…”

Shea Goldsun answered, her cute voice shuddering a bit as she knew her elder brother went and spilled everything to Mo Tian. Besides, although Mo Tian maintained a respectable distance from her, he was still in her presence, causing her to blush heavily.

Perhaps everyone could see her blushing hard if it werenʼt for her crimson veil.

But after answering, she went silent as she lowered her head. Her actions couldnʼt be any louder that it was plainly clear she had romantic feelings for Mo Tian.

”…”

Davis felt a bit guilty even though it wasnʼt like he was going to take advantage of her feelings. He was only going to make some conversation with her at the start and then slowly move the conversation to the big banquet with the elders of the Golden Crow Clan.

Perhaps, he was spurred by Drakeʼs willingness to dirty his hands, as he didnʼt have this idea before.

However, he felt that he couldnʼt be found out that he was intentionally seeking to appear at the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clanʼs banquet. Otherwise, the Golden Crow Clanʼs people would start doubting his intentions on why he would want to go there.

He could simply tell that it was to gain experience or use the favor he had with the Golden Crow Clan Patriarch but with the suspicion that he was an Anarchic Divergent or that he was a Saint, his best course of action would be to lie low in everyoneʼs mind, but he couldnʼt do that and needed to go to the banquet no matter what.

To achieve that goal, he needed to fool the Golden Crow Clan into thinking that they were taking him to the banquet instead of him saying that he wanted to go, which was very difficult to achieve.

Besides, if he started saying that he needed to go to the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clanʼs banquet, then they might start denying him his freedom in various ways, as they could think that he intended to join the Dragon Alliance and Phoenix Alliance.

After all, they couldnʼt possibly fight in terms of wealth and power when it came to these two alliances.

Their line of thought was not without cause. After all, there was no clause on him restricting him from leaving the alliance!

”Shea, what are you doing? Serve Mo Tian some refreshments...”

Erin Goldsun reminded his little sister through soul transmission, causing her to shiver in panic before she hurriedly placed a cup before him and served him the Serene Yin Fruit Juice that caused the stomach to chill, soul to be calmed, and energy to rise and be nurtured.

Each and every kind of place here had some kind of nourishment aspect, bringing forth benefits to immortals. A few Early Stage Immortals even took advantage of these drinks to make breakthroughs. Although this kind of action was frowned upon, who was going to say anything when there were plenty of such refreshments available as though it was limitless?

Shea Goldsunʼs hand shook as the Serene Yin Fruit Juice poured into the cup in an unstable manner, but fortunately, she didnʼt spill any droplets on the table a single time, placing the jug on the table before serving the cup to Mo Tian with both hands, still having her head lowered.

Davis found her cute as he took the cup from her hands, drinking it without doubting the content.

This move of his made some think that he could be really into Shea Goldsun. However, they couldnʼt understand why. Why such a weak and statusless woman?

Yilla Zyrus looked at him with an unknown expression. Panqa and Lanqua kept blinking, not knowing what was going on.

Some people began to leave with the battle segments having come to a closure, but all remaining eyes were on Mo Tianʼs movements. He was like the shining star of this event despite there being many immortals, including immortal inheritors who were stronger and held better status than him.

*Whoosh!~*

At this moment, everyoneʼs gaze, including Davisʼs, fell on the battle stage as they all saw a person appear there.

It was a woman. This womanʼs buxom frame was draped by the resplendent purple robes, making her appear regal. The luxurious ornaments that graced her garments glittered in the light, causing countless men to hold their breaths at this moment.

They instantly recognized her to be none other than the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder.

”The last segment was pretty much lackluster, considering that no one bothered to show us their trump cards. I find it hard to end the alliance event on such a note. Is there any brave man or woman who would like to meet me in battle?”

Her seductive voice echoed across the inner hall as she turned to look at the person who was still on the battle stage.

”Zyrus Family Patriarch, how about you?”

”Aha~ Your ladyship has a great sense of humor. How can I be of a match to you?”

”Donʼt worry~ I wonʼt accidentally kill you~”

The Zyrus Family Patriarch still smiled, shaking his head, ”Itʼs not about the losing face, but I simply respect your power and status to even think of battling you. Just who doesnʼt know that the Blazing Thunderlight Kirin boasts incredible offensive prowess? Even Fire Dragons fall short in front of them when it comes to pure destructive power.”

”Ai~” The Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder sighed, but her voice still sounded amused, ”If the Zyrus Family Patriarch respects me that much, then I guess I have no choice but to stop being adamant. That said, does anyone else would like to challenge me? Even Early Immortal Emperors are welcome to trade blows with me.”

”…”

Her words left everyone feeling shaken as they could see that she was a daring woman.

Some leaders even thought she was utterly selfish and calculative, but they didnʼt expect her to appear on the stage and demand someone to challenge her. They didnʼt know for what purpose she appeared up there but had their gaze fixed on her because they were interested, not to mention she was too beautiful.

The Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder didnʼt say anything even after ten seconds have been passed with no one appearing to challenge her. The Zyrus Family Patriarch also left, leaving the stage to her.

However, no Immortal Emperors showed up. For one, they werenʼt allowed here. Two, even if they were here in disguise, they obviously wouldnʼt show themselves.

This made everyoneʼs gaze fall on the immortal inheritors present here, wondering if anyone would take up the challenge.

Twenty seconds passed, and still, no one did.

Finally, the Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founderʼs gaze fell on someone, causing all of them to look in that direction.

”…”

Gawain of the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan furrowed his brows. He turned to look at his Patriarch, who also appeared clueless, before his eyes couldnʼt help but widen, returning his gaze to the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder.

”Could it be that you are interested in me? Well, since you donʼt want to participate in the Candidacy, I suppose you are interested in me. I guess I should prove myself first...”

*Boom!~*

Gawain landed on the battle stage with excitement, appearing to gaze at the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder with his gleaming eyes.

”Donʼt flatter yourself.”

The Blazing Thunderlight Sect Founderʼs charming giggle resounded, ”All I want to see is how better you would fare against my attacks for all the boastful comments you made just a while ago, especially since you donʼt have to use Divine Techniques to defend against attacks of the same level.”

”What is in it for me?” Gawain chuckled, ”If I win, will you become mine?”

”Oh?” The Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder gaze flickered, ”If the stakes are too high, I might not be able to hold back from killing you. At that time, the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan cannot blame me.”

”You think youʼre capable of harming me? Ahaha!”

Gawain burst into laughter as he threw his head above, appearing to have been greatly amused by the woman in front of him. His boisterous laughter shook peopleʼs souls as they could feel their hearts drum in resonance.

It seemed like Gawain took that as a challenge, feeling offended that he started laughing.

”Aiya!” Abruptly, the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clanʼs Patriarch stood up, raising his hands.

”Youngsters- I mean, respected ancestors, donʼt go too far with sparring.”

The Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder suddenly turned to look at the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Palaceʼs Patriarch.

”Did you just call me ancestor? Iʼm not even two hundred years old.”

”…!”

Her words instantly left many people shocked.

Even Davis had his eyes widened. For what reason? Because for an immortal inheritor who went to sleep in the Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley, she was truly young.

ʼWait… if she wasnʼt going to participate in the Candidacy, why did she go sleep Heavenly Ice Stasis Valley?ʼ
