Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2839 A Bit Of Rest

Entering inside, Davis strode into a spacious hall that was at least the size of a soccer field. He walked in further, checking the ins and outs of the many doors and hallways present in these quarters, coming to know that there was space for at least five immortal beasts, which made it so hundreds of people could be accommodated here easily.

Nonetheless, he made it back to the hall and sat on a regal brown couch, making himself comfortable.

But as though it was natural, Panqa and Lanqua followed him everywhere and now stood before him as though they were waiting for his commands.

He couldnʼt help but gesture with his hand as he opened his mouth, ”Why are you two making things difficult for yourselves?”

”...?”

Panqa and Lanqua looked at each other, their brows squinting as though they didnʼt understand his question.

”The more time you spend with me, the more difficult it is for you two to search for a suitable partner in the future,” Davis emphasized, causing Panqa and Lanqua to widen then eyes as though realizing what he had just asked.

”We are ready to risk it all.”

”Indeed, one adventure is all it takes for us to lose our lives, so why would it be any different for choosing one of the most important aspects of our lives, our husband?”

Panqa and Lanqua spoke with smiles on their gorgeous faces. Their cute grins may have been covered by their veils, but their delighted voices fell on Davisʼs ears, causing him to purse his lips before he nodded.

”That makes sense, but I still donʼt have any feelings for you two.”

”Thatʼs normal.” Lanqua nodded.

”Weʼll try to gain your favor more~” Panqa raised her hands and cheered.

”...”

Their sincerity and acceptance of reality were so forthright that Davis didnʼt know how to deal with them. They didnʼt try to seduce him again but were waiting for him to accept them. How long would they keep this up? He didnʼt know, nor was he interested in finding out, but there was a sliver of temptation in his heart that said that he could just swoop them now and make them his women.

It was slowly crawling to the top of his head and the bottom of his waist. They were too lovely for him to just ignore them but also not something he would really like to spend his time on.

In the end, he told them to occupy one of these rooms and not to disturb him since he was going to cultivate.

The twins obliged, moving into their own room.

Davis also moved into his own room. As he closed the door and walked in, his gaze fell on the paintings and depictions decorated on the wall. They were of the Three-Legged Golden Crow, appearing one with majestic nature under the harmony of the sun.

In one corner of the room, there was a small tea table of four, and in other corners were also other types of furniture filled with lanterns and candles, casting a warm and inviting glow throughout the space. The incense coming from the flames also smelled good, allowing one to have a perfect time meditating during cultivation.

However, the large, ornate bed, with a high, curved headboard and silk drapes hanging on the edges that could be pulled closed for privacy, suggested something else.

*Whoosh~*

”Woah, are you not... worried...?”

Davis threw himself on the bed as his face hit the luxurious blankets made from some kind of fur. He could also feel the plushy feeling of the cushion sinking in deep before it rebounded, causing him to bounce, but he still stayed like that, a sigh escaping from his mouth.

”Iʼm tired.”

Mingzhi rubbed her face as she looked around, knowing that if they were monitored that they could be caught, but with Davisʼs words, she realized that he was slightly done fooling around. She didnʼt know what he had in mind but guessed that if they were caught, they would still be going to the banquet regardless.

However, shrugging slightly, she looked at the one beside her, ”You got this, my dear sister~”

Fiora pursed her lips, blinking as though she didnʼt know what to do. But quickly, Mingzhi whispered in her ears, causing her to nod twice before she got on the bed and sat beside Davis, pulling him over to her as she made him lie on her thighs. His head was directly affixed between the valley of her thighs, and she could even feel his hot breath, causing her to blush as she smiled.

However, she didnʼt sit still and raised her hand, caressing his head as she drove her fingers through his disguised black hair.

Meanwhile, Mingzhi went towards the tea table and sat, making herself comfortable as she put her legs on another chair and leaned on the table as she gazed at them.

”Fiora...”

Davis spoke, causing Fiora to become attentive before he turned around and looked at her face from below.

”What do you think of them?”

”Them?” Fiora blinked, ”Do you mean the twins and Shea?”

”Yes. Mingzhi missed a lot, but you were watching the whole thing, right?”

”Mhm. I want to know everything about you~”

Fiora cooʼed, causing Davis to smile lightly. He waited for Fiora to collect herself, and she answered.

”Well, if thereʼs anything I could say... I guess I could see myself in them.”

Davis raised his brows, ”You see yourself in them?”

”I mean... if elder sister didnʼt force me to reveal my feelings and have you take me, perhaps, I wouldʼve been like them, wanting you because you are a good and powerful man but not having the capability to bind you because we are unworthy.”

Davis lightly gawked while Mingzhi couldnʼt help but silently chuckle. This dearest sister of hers was always so blunt that it even made her sometimes feel like her bluntness was nothing compared to hers.

”Thatʼs why I think I could see myself in them. Of course, by this time, they have started developing feelings for you. After all, women like them, women like me, will do anything to gain the favor of the man from their hopes and dreams, even if the methods are slightly questionable.”

Fioraʼs gaze shook before she smiled, ”However, you went too far, telling one of them that youʼre impotent when youʼre not...”

She poked his forehead, causing Davis to laugh, ”What would you do if I really turned out to be impotent by training in strange cultivation methods?”

”Ah~ Donʼt even joke about that~”

Fiora fumed as she grabbed his cheeks and pulled on them, causing Davis to continue laughing.

However, she lightly sighed and pursed her lips, looking up, ”But if there came a day like that, I guess I would have to treat my sistersʼ children as my own children as I do not plan to leave you even if you die, my emperor.”

Fiora looked down once again, her eyes tearing up as though she imagined such a scenario to the fullest of her capability, causing Davisʼs eyes to quiver. He saw her light smile that forever looked up to him with respect and love, although not to the level of her elder sister, wasnʼt far off either.

Instantly, his hand snaked up and caught her nape, bringing her down upon him before he caught her lips, savoring her sweet sensations as he passionately kissed her. Her black hair, which had dark green strands all over, fell over their sides, blocking their kiss from Mingzhiʼs view, causing the latter to grin at them as she heaved a hot breath.

”So steamy~ Can I also join?”

”No~”

A smooching and hushed voice echoed out from Fiora, causing Mingzhi to pout as she still smiled.
