Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2836 Allianceʼs Results

Davis also stepped foot into the Zyrus Family Palace, looking at the results posted at the center of the battle stage.

”…”

As far as he was concerned, the score went like this in his head for the final segment, which was the immortal inheritor segment.

[Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 0 win]

[Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 0 win]

[Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan - 2 wins]

[Golden Crow Clan - 1 win]

[Goldlust Rat Clan - 1 win]

[Dark Void Flame Tribe - 1 win]

[Evernight Phantasm Spirit Tribe - 1 win]

Due to the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan gaining a win from a surrender while also defeating the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs immortal inheritor, Youil, the Starlight Jade Wolf Kingʼs supposed plan was destroyed as the Golden Crow Clan and the other Candidacy powers didnʼt get the first position.

This made the Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan become first and the other powers second, while the Cyan Soul Rat Clan and Starlight Jade Wolf Clan didnʼt receive any wins, which didnʼt make them grasp third place.

Therefore, in Davisʼs mind, the voting prowess of each power present in this alliance should be like this:

Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 11, Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 8, Lumin Family - 6, Golden Crow Clan - 5, Zyrus Family - 4, Bloodcloud Family - 4, Minn Family - 4, Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan - 4, Goldlust Rat Clan - 3, Dark Void Flame Spirit Tribe - 3, Dynastic Evernight Phantasm Spirit Tribe - 3, Blazing Thunderlight Sect - 1 and the remaining fifteen powers within the alliance possessed a voting power of one each.

However, what he saw, and the others saw was entirely different.

Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 13, Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 12, Lumin Family - 7, Golden Crow Clan - 5, Zyrus Family - 5, Bloodcloud Family - 1, Minn Family - 2, Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan - 5, Goldlust Rat Clan - 4, Dark Void Flame Spirit Tribe - 4, Dynastic Evernight Phantasm Spirit Tribe - 4, Blazing Thunderlight Sect - 9.

Looking at this spread of voting power, the people were shocked as they turned to look at the Starlight Jade Wolf King in astonishment.

The Cyan Soul Rat Clan had superseded them by gaining 12 votes, but the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan went further, possessing 13 votes. However, looking at the Lumin Family, the people could see their votes had only gone up one, making it 7, but looking at the Minn Familyʼs voting power that had reduced to 2 from 4, they could understand how these powers traded their votes.

Furthermore, considering the Golden Crow Clanʼs deal with the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, it made sense for the latter to possess 13 votes.

As for the Cyan Soul Rat Clan and Zyrus Family, it was clear that they had their subordinates give up their votes to them, and since these two major powers made the mistake of thinking that the Starlight Jade Wolf Clanʼs voting influence would stop at 11 or 12, they didnʼt gain further votes to overtake them, appearing to settle for the same voting influence.

However, was that the case?

As soon as they realized the Starlight Jade Wolf Kingʼs brilliance, they couldnʼt help but turn to look at another person.

It was none other than the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder, whose gaze flashed with a fiery crimson light.

They saw that her powerʼs vote had somehow increased from 1 to 9, which was ridiculous from their viewpoint! They had no idea what had gone down in a single day, so as they searched for answers, they saw the Cyan Soul Rat Clanʼs elders, Zyrus Familyʼs elders, and Bloodcloud Familyʼs elders glaring at her.

Particularly, the Bloodcloud Family was in an uproar as their voting influence fell from 4 to 1!

The elders of the Bloodcloud Family furiously raised their voices at their Patriarch, wanting to know what had happened.

”…”

However, the Bloodcloud Familyʼs Patriarch merely stayed silent, his gaze appearing to be somber as he stared at the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder.

ʼHoly shit… everything is a mess…ʼ

Davis turned to look at the whole scene and recognized that the entire palace was in an uproar.

”What is this?” The Starlight Jade Wolf King appeared amused, ”I expected my power to end up in a draw with the Cyan Soul Rat Clan or the second place, but it looks like the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder pulled some move that drained the Bloodcloud Family of their votes, including but not limited to a few of Zyrus Familyʼs subordinates votes, essentially leaving the Cyan Soul Rat Clan and Zyrus Family unable to catch up to your Lumin Family or me.”

”Whatever they had planned, it backfired too bad.” The Lumin Family Patriarch chuckled, appearing to enjoy this situation.

However, Davis wasnʼt particularly enjoying this situation as he gazed at the Blazing Thunderlight Sectʼs Founder, wondering how she pulled this off that he was starting to think that she was a better schemer than him.

How she courted provincial powers under the Bloodcloud Family and Zyrus Family to join her? He couldnʼt tell.

”All thanks to Mo Tian for gaining us the initial advantage.”

”I didnʼt do much.” Davis politely responded, causing the Lumin Family Patriarch to nod before looking elsewhere at another person as well.

It was none other than Haijin Minn. It was because of him the Minn Family was able to obtain first place and gain three votes in the Essence Prowess battle segment.

Haijin Minn politely responded to the leaders before walking towards Mo Tian, his lips laden with a light smile.

”Senior, Mo Tian. I heard that you were hunted by Dead End. Iʼm interested to hear how you escaped from that life-or-death situation.”

”Sigh, donʼt bother about that horror story.” Davis shook his head as though he was already tired of being asked questions about that before his brows squinted, ”Now that I think about it, Dead End mentioned something while hunting me to intimidate me… like he was going to slowly torture a young man who didnʼt pay him money fifty million Low-Level Immortal Crystals or something...”

”W-What…?” Haijin Minnʼs expression shook.

However, Davis acted oblivious and still had an expression that was said to be contemplating deeply.

”Iʼm not sure. He demanded me a billion Mid-Level Immortal Crystals for my life, which I didnʼt have, so I displayed a middle finger to him and escaped through an unknown spatial channel, leaving my life and death to fate, and it turns out that the heavens were good to me, allowing me to escape.”

”Ah… I see…”

Haijin Minn wryly laughed. He cupped his hands and said some polite words to Mo Tian before leaving, his expression turning awry as he felt scared for his life.

After all, he hadnʼt given fifty million Low-Level Immortal Crystals to Dead End within seven days for leaving him alive. He didnʼt know how Dead End would act from that moment onwards, costing him his peace of mind.

As for how he knew that Dead End was the one who hunted him, he already had some doubt as that hunter used a strange and ominous energy that shook him to his core, which he later came to understand that it was death energy.

ʼWait… Mo Tian… where have I heard of this name before…?ʼ
