Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 2820 Mo Tianʼs Weakness?

”I thank the Wolf King for his praise...” Davis cupped his hands, his expression revealing a sly smile, ”.. but I think I have already far surpassed everyone present here if we were to strictly concentrate on prowess.”

”Aha. Thatʼs true.”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King laughed in response, ”You are indeed stronger than me in my younger years, but you should know that immortal beast nobles and regals tend to be more powerful if they manage to retain their bloodline as they increase their cultivation.”

”Indeed.” Davis kept smiling, ”But Iʼm still confident.”

”Thatʼs good. You are a promising man. Do you want one of my unmarried daughters? You donʼt need to join my power.”

”Eh…”

Davisʼs expression fell, ”Can we not go there…?”

”Ahaha. I canʼt tell if youʼre shy, solemn, or simply polite. Whatever… Iʼll wait for things to ease up before trying again.”

The Starlight Jade Wolf King heartily laughed as he didnʼt hide his intentions at all, causing Davis to not know what to say. He could also see others intending to talk to him about this matter, perhaps, no longer intending to invite them into their powers as he was a part of the alliance.

Since he was a part of the alliance, it meant that they could give their women to him without having to be worried about many things. After all, they were soon going to present him with a Blood Soul Contract with many clauses and stuff.

Nonetheless, Davis and the Starlight Jade Wolf King became seated, and a feast was brought in at this moment, causing countless eyes to widen and mouths to drool.

After much banter and some more discussion about the Emperor of Death, about how his ashes were taken away by his wives after he was burned by nirvanic flames.

Davis felt some vague heat covering his soul during that time, so he could tell that the nirvanic flames were indeed meant to clear any remnant soul left in the corpse or somewhere else. However, since he possessed a whole soul, the nirvanic flames were unable to do anything to him.

However, the usage of nirvanic flames left everyone feeling that the Emperor of Death was truly dead on top of the other pieces of evidence presented to them through word and imagery feed. Some celebrated his death, like the Cyan Soul Rat Clan and their subordinates, perhaps to anger the Starlight Jade Wolf King but the others didnʼt partake in it, not even the Zyrus Family.

Thinking back, he did meet one of their scouts back then in the West Ascendance Monument as the Emperor of Death, so he imagined that the Zyrus Family was still not antagonistic to him. Only, they were after Mo Tian and Dead End because they had killed their Young Master, making him feel confused as to how to handle them. After all, it didnʼt free them of the sins they had committed, but that wasnʼt his problem either, as he wasnʼt a hero or a righteous individual.

He just targeted them because he felt that they were good assassination targets as they deserved to die for their wrongdoings.

Nonetheless, he couldnʼt help but inwardly laugh as, at this rate, he wouldnʼt be able to assassinate any person as all three of his main targets were present here, making it hard for him to make a move. He imagined that it would be the case for the next few days as well, causing him to shake his head lightly.

ʼI came here to assassinate, but here I am… changing according to the flow and doing something else...ʼ

Davis felt like he wouldnʼt get the opportunity in these three days as he would have to leave for the other banquet. Still, he had a one-year time limit to kill his targets, so he wasnʼt particularly bothered.

He figured that the only good thing that happened to him was that he got a free ticket to enter the Fire Phoenix Clan and Earth Dragon Clanʼs banquet as he had the Golden Crow Clan Patriarchʼs favor.

Soon, he received the things that he was promised by the Lumin Family, causing him to smile heartily.

Nevertheless, another scoreboard was brought forth at this moment, and it contained the victories so far, including the number of votes one possessed currently.

[First Segment]

Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 1st

Zyrus Family, Obsidian Crystal Turtle Clan, Golden Crow Clan, Goldlust Rat Clan, Dark Void Flame Spirit Tribe, Dynastic Evernight Phantasm Spirit Tribe - 2nd

Blazing Thunderlight Sect, Lumin Family - 3rd

[Second Segment]

Starlight Jade Wolf Clan -1st, Bloodcloud Family - 2nd, Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 3rd

[Third Segment]

Lumin Family - 1st, Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 2nd

Cyan Soul Rat Clan, Zyrus Family - 3rd

[Fourth Segment]

Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 1st

Therefore, the votes so far were: Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 11, Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 5, Lumin Family - 4, Zyrus Family - 3, Bloodcloud Family - 3…

However, this made another discussion erupt as there were no second and third places in the fourth segment, which was the Martial Prowess Segment, where Mo Tian steamrolled through his opponents.

Many argued that even if they didnʼt win a single round, they could all be in second place.

However, the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan argued that it wasnʼt possible as they didnʼt win a single round in that segment and couldnʼt be placed in any position whatsoever.

This argument led on for long before the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan was overwhelmed, and the twenty-six other powers shamelessly settled for the third place, giving them all one vote each.

Therefore, the votes became: Starlight Jade Wolf Clan - 11, Cyan Soul Rat Clan - 6, Lumin Family - 5, Zyrus Family - 4, Bloodcloud Family - 4…

This changed the vote dynamics a bit as many powers gained at least one vote for the first time while a major power inched somewhat closer to the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan, giving them an opportunity to turn this disadvantageous position in their favor.

After all, as long as the Cyan Soul Rat Clan could obtain first place in two more segments and oust the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan from winning a single rank, then they would be successfully able to reach the leading postilion!

The Zyrus Family and Bloodcloud Family also wanted to turn things around at this moment, at least surpass the Lumin Family, as they gained more voting rights. But they only had one segment to prove, as the other segment was meant for the immortal inheritors who participated in the Candidacy.

However, they also knew what they were trying to achieve was truly difficult, so they no longer held back, deciding to send everything they got into the next segment.

[Fifth Segment - Essence Prowess]

”Apothecary Mo Tian, if you accept to fight for us, we will...”

”Mo Tian, we will offer better, namely...”

”Mo Tian, donʼt believe them. They donʼt have such a thing as they used it up a month ago.”

”What? Donʼt talk nonsense. Who told you we only had one!?”

Instantly, all the other powers who hadnʼt used him as their representative began to fight for him with their fangs and claws out, aggressively bidding on him like he was a precious treasure.

”…”

Davis simply raised his hand, causing the Zyrus Family and the other powers to turn silent before he opened his mouth.

”Uh, I gotta go poop after eating this damned dragon meat again, so I wish you all good luck.”

He stood up, trying to leave. However, as he took a step forward, he looked toward Panqa and Lanqua as he beckoned them.

”Come with me.”

”…”

Instantly, numerous peopleʼs eyes shot wide.

He wasnʼt going to shit but was going to sleep with them…?

They couldnʼt help but feel that it was a bold move, shocking even the likes of the Starlight Jade Wolf King.

However, they saw Mo Tian turn to look towards another person.

”You… yes, you. Iʼm going to give you a chance, so come with me if you want to.”

Drake pointed at himself, appearing stunned, before he subconsciously stood up, looking around before following Mo Tian out.

The Starlight Jade Wolf King shook his head and advised his elders to accompany these young ones to the palaceʼs entrance while the other people sighed heavily, thinking…

Nah, Mo Tian really was going to poop.

After all, there was no reason to bring a man together unless he was something else or didnʼt want the ladies to feel awkward or uncomfortable. Besides, this made them wonder if this was a weakness influenced by his cultivation method.

Still, the people decided that Mo Tian was mostly polite towards women but didnʼt know how his skin could be so thick as to announce this publicly. Although he was a potential Saint, they couldnʼt help but still view him as a hooligan, while a few smart ones saw this as a way for him to not hinder the Starlight Jade Wolf Clan and Lumin Familyʼs progress as the two powers were really strong in Essence Gathering Cultivation.

This left them a bit angered as they felt hard-pressed to win this segment. After all, Mo Tian won the other segments for those powers, so why not win for them?

However, little did they know that Mo Tian, no- Davis, was taking Drake away to learn more about the situation back home!
