Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1197 Purple Star Flame

Davis looked at the King Grade Flame Essence in front of him. It was ranked nineteenth in the King Grade Flame Essence Chart and was desired by many forging experts since its heat was tremendous and had a few advantages! It was blazing with intensity than any other King Grade Flame Essence above the top ten, making it the most popular Flame Essence for blacksmiths in the Nine Western Territories.

This wasnʼt the only place it was obtainable, as there were many in other Territories. However, Nora Alstreim obtained a variant of this Purple Star Flame that came to be later known as the Purple Yin Star Flame, likely a result of the mutation caused by the refinement of flames, lightning, and something else alike that he didnʼt know about.

Nevertheless, it didnʼt matter.

His body moved as if he was in a trance as he appeared right before it, his fist becoming covered by brownish-golden scales as he launched a powerful attack.

*Boom!~*

The Purple Star Flameʼs body shook as it noticed the air reverberating with immense energy. However, it was too late. The blazing flames covering its body shook as they were exterminated like candle flames snuffed out by the wind, revealing its star-shaped main, energy body.

At the same time, his soul force surged out of his soul sea like a tsunami, directly invading its spirit sea without facing a hitch.

However, Davis felt like he was roasted under a grill, but it was bearable.

”Ah!~ Please donʼt harm me!”

A child-like voice of a little girl abruptly echoed.

Davisʼs killing intent faded as he heard its clear voice while the martial energy that surged out of his fist for the next attack receded. The main reason he stopped was that he saw it stop as it kept trembling before him. Surely, he hadnʼt even scraped off five percent of its energy, and it could still burst out with flames, put up a fight and give him a bit of a hard time even though he had the initial advantage.

ʼOh my... Itʼs a young and immature Purple Star Flame...ʼ

Davis blinked as he realized that it was recently born, perhaps in this decade or recent years... and suddenly, he felt hesitant as he looked at its trembling main body.

It had surrendered, so there was no need to kill its Will, right?

He pondered but still didnʼt stop using his concealment or exit its spirit sea. Only his solemn voice echoed.

”Do you want to live?”

”I...! I do!” The Purple Star Flame trembled as its purple flames surged out of its body to cover its main energy body, ”Please donʼt... donʼt kill me...”

Its voice still resounded with an imploring tone, causing Davis to sigh inwardly. He didnʼt expect to catch a Purple Star Flame, and one that seemed to be afraid and cooperative nonetheless.

But would it still be cooperative after he informed it of its bleak situation?

”If you want to live, then you must serve a human!” He didnʼt hide.

”Ah!~ I will! I will!~”

”Wuwuwu~~~ Please... Please donʼt kill me!~”

Sounds of crying echoed, and Davisʼs expression was not amused. He felt like bullying a little girl, making him feel terrible. If it was intentionally doing it, he had no words to say other than wanting to kill it, but it didnʼt seem like the case as he had invaded its spirit sea.

It did not even try to push his soul force out of its spirit sea, and it must be its first experience of having its spirit sea invaded. Davis assumed that since it felt extreme danger from him, it became instantly cooperative, afraid that he, the mysterious existence, might end its life.

It was probably a misunderstanding, but since he would not let it escape, he decided to take advantage of it!

”Very well! Retract your flames, and cease any thought of resistance...”

”Mhmm... I will obey... so...”

”Please donʼt harm me~~~”

Davisʼs brows twitched as he felt that he was dealing with a kid in reality. It gave him the goosebumps, and some cultivators might kill it just because it sounded like a strange little girl. It was just outright creepy.

But he still couldnʼt help but feel pity for it as he understood that it was just another living existence in this world.

Davisʼs eyes flashed red as he saw its name and lifespan.

ʼFlame Starcy... Is it supposed to be any different from Lightning Avidre...?ʼ

Davis didnʼt understand how these beings were named.

The Derelict Extinction Lightning he had absorbed was named Lightning Avidre, and this little girl sounding Flame Essence was name Flame Starcy.

The only thing he could decipher was their first name, which would be obvious to anyone if they had the Death God Eyes.

Nevertheless, he became astonished to see that its lifespan wasnʼt anything small. Since this was the case, he became convinced that it wasnʼt killed by him nor any others. Unless a sudden change occurred, he felt that there was no need to doubt its words.

As it delivered, the Fire Essence had retracted its purple flames, revealing its starry body. It then cowered under the might of his soul force, so after contemplating a bit, he took his soul force away, causing it to relax.

Davis revealed himself and spoke, ”Whatʼs your name?”

”...”

There were a few moments of silence before Davis prompted it again.

”Well?”

”I... I am called Starcy...”

Davis blinked as he felt even more doubtful. How under the heavens did it know its own name? It was beyond him.

Was there some kind of karmic intricacies related here that he didnʼt know about?

He turned around and spoke, ”Starcy, follow me...”

”Yes...” Flame Starcy sounded hesitant, but it still followed him, its starry body leaving trails of beautiful yet shimmering purple sparks in the air.

Davis glanced at it and saw its magnificence. He became a bit mesmerized by the sight before he returned his gaze to the front, seemingly having no guard.

However, by the time he reached back to Sophie, Flame Starcy didnʼt even speak a word to him, much less attack.

Considering that it simply followed him, Davis understood that it was naive, but he could understand that since it seemed to be an immature Flame Essence with little to no experience.

”Davis...?” Sophieʼs expression appeared blank as she saw the starry body of the Flame Essence, its simple presence causing her eyes to narrow from the sheer amount of heat spreading to her face.

Davis looked around and saw that the Low-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape was nowhere to be seen. He assumed that it left and returned his glance back to Sophie.

”Sophie, youʼre in luck...” He sent a soul transmission.

”Itʼs a Purple Star Flame...” Sophieʼs voice dumbfoundedly resounded out.

”Yes, itʼs... Well, she is an extremely young and immature Flame Essence...”

Sophieʼs expression shook as she heard his words. At first, a ripple had appeared in her heart, but now, after she had heard his words, it was swelling like a quake. She turned to look at Davis as she asserted!

”Davis, I want it... Please!!!”

The Purple Star Flame was an intense flame that could melt and forge easily with its tiny metallic property. It was extremely useful to her in forging, and whatʼs more, this was a juvenile Flame Essence that could be relatively yet easily tamed.

She didnʼt have to exterminate its Will to digest its comprehensions. Just coexisting with it could ensure that she gained more benefits than exterminating its Will and digesting it. This was even better than a fully matured Purple Star Flame in terms of long term benefits!

Furthermore, its Will was still alive, meaning that it could help her battle opponents and even aid her in forging! It is said that it even memorizes whatever she forged, just like the tales of numerous powerful Flame Essences she had heard about!

Davis chuckled at Sophieʼs plea. He felt that this should be how it was, his wives asking him and him granting them. As her man, it gave him complete satisfaction to grant their request!

He glanced at the Flame Essence and spoke as he pointed at Sophie, ”Henceforth, you will become hers, your masterʼs, Sophie Alstreimʼs.”

”Master...?” Starcy appeared hesitating as it projected its voice outside.

”It means that you will never disobey her from now on but obey each word to the fullest of your ability. You got it?” Davis narrowed his eyes.

”Mhmm... I will obey...” She trembled, ”But I also want to consume flames...”

”Donʼt worry! I will feed you to the best of my ability!” Sophie echoed, her eyes becoming soft as she heard its childish voice.

”Really...?”

”I swear!” Sophie patted her bosoms. She knew what she was doing as she had read about juvenile Spirit Attribute Sources.

”Then... okay...” Starcyʼs voice sounded helpless and pitiful.

Unmistakably, it at least understood that it was going to lose its freedom.

Davis looked at the both of them as he felt that they were childish enough. He chuckled and spoke, ”Sophie, prepare to welcome Starcy into your dantian.”

”Starcy, donʼt harm Sophie...”

His last words were spoken with killing intent that Starcy began to tremble again.

”Davis, donʼt scare her. Come here, Starcy...” Sophie benevolently called out, ”I will take care of you and feed you my flames...”

Starcy appeared to no longer bother with Davis, but also not as it seemed like it ran away from him as it approached Sophie to seek shelter.

Davis cast a look at Sophie and inwardly gave her the thumbs up. She sure knew how to play the good cop. He didnʼt blame her but thought that was a smart move.

Soon, Sophie didnʼt possess any resistance against Starcy, and neither did Starcy resist Sophie as it compressed its form and entered Sophieʼs dantian before settling down. Starcy instantly found a huge mass of flaming sphere floating with immense fire energy in the dantian and began to siphon energy from it when it suddenly received a message.

”Take it slow...” Sophie warned.

”Mhmm... I will obey master...” Starcyʼs cute voice resounded out, causing Sophie to smile before a wave of strange resonance befell her.

Meanwhile, Davis was a bit flabbergasted by this situation. He thought that he would only find Fire Essences in those tall mountains seething with lava as it explodes, but contrary to his expectations, he found one roaming at the coast just before he left to the Dark Thunder Island.

What kind of luck was that?

Wait, wasnʼt his luck pretty good in these recent times?

However, Davisʼs heart fell as he thought of his cooked-up nonsense.

ʼIt couldnʼt be something like stuffing me up before dealing me a death blow, right...?ʼ

He became more than skeptical as he still instinctively felt danger within him never disappear, but his thoughts disappeared when he saw the fire energy spike within this area as Sophie entered a meditative state.

ʼSweet! Sheʼs going to comprehend the next level in Fire Laws...ʼ

Davis couldnʼt help but silently laugh, afraid that his laughter would disturb her.
