Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1170 Leave It To Me!

”Davis...” Evelynn suddenly called out, grabbing his attention.

”Will she accept us?”

Davis narrowed his eyes, ”I havenʼt asked her and hadnʼt told her anything yet, but with the way she treated you and had agreed to become mine, she has probably accepted her fate of being a wife with no voice in terms of status.”

Evelynnʼs lips twisted as she teased, ”Sheʼs an inexperienced woman. Donʼt take advantage of her...”

”Well, werenʼt you the same before I made you like this?” Davis smiled as he teased her back.

Evelynn pouted before her bosoms heaved as she avoided his gaze, ”I really miss your touch.”

Davis felt an instant pang of guilt, ”Iʼll come back as soon as possible. I promise!”

”Ah no...” Evelynn looked back at him and shook her head, ”I didnʼt mean it that way...”

She pursed her lips before she lowered her head, ”Iʼm just a bit jealous that Sophie can hog you all to herself during this time...”

Davis smiled as he relaxed. Evelynn was Evelynn alright.

”My dear wife, I need your help...” He wryly smiled.

”Help?” Evelynn became taken aback, ”For what?”

”I need your help in convincing Natalya...”

”Natalya...?” Evelynn frowned, not understanding, ”With her personality, I donʼt think she would say anything for this matter.”

”I know...” Davis wryly smiled, ”In fact, I was rather afraid of how you would react after I say this to you than Natalya. But fortunately, you easily accepted than how I imagined it would be.”

”Am I that scary?” Evelynn pouted in an aggrieved manner.

”No, you are my fairy...” Davis took a step forward and embraced her, speaking in a heartfelt voice, ”I donʼt want to see you be hurt in any way...”

Evelynn felt her heart warm as a smile inevitably filled her face.

”Then, why do you think Natalya would be against your decision to take Sophie Alstreim as your fourth wife?” she asked.

Davis shook his head, ”She would not be against it like you said, but she would feel disappointed. After all, she wanted to introduce her little sister to me.”

”Unlike you, she hadnʼt met Sophie yet. In her perspective, her little sister would be suitable for me than any other strange woman.”

Evelynnʼs eyes shone in understanding while Davis sighed.

He was planning on using the lucky chance that Isabella gave him to see if Fiora was to his liking after he returned, but things never go his way. Sophie had suddenly entered his life, and consequently, it could be said that he ended up using his lucky chance given by Isabella, and so he didnʼt know how to answer Natalya now.

He thought about why Isabella would utter something stupid like that he can have a woman at the moment before she left. The only answer he arrived at is that she told him so that he can make Fiora his woman. After all, Isabella knew about Natalyaʼs wish and, perhaps, also wanted to make Natalya happy.

Whenever Natalya asked of his opinion over her little sister, her hopeful eyes were inwardly killing him. She hid it well, but how could it escape his eyes? How could it escape Isabellaʼs eyes?

If he accepted Fiora, Natalya would become happier than ever. However, he had already accepted Sophie. So if he were to accept both of them, he knew that Isabella would become sad instead.

Long story short, he had hit a wall and needed Evelynnʼs help.

”Davis, youʼre unlucky...” Evelynn smiled as she shook her head.

”Why?”

”Natalya told me that as soon as you come back from leaving Isabella, she was going to call her family here with your permission, but after you said that you wanted to train, she delayed that thought and didnʼt contact her family. Likely, she is waiting for you to come back from training so that she could finally ask you about your opinion on bringing her family here for their safety.”

Davisʼs mouth went agape a bit. His soul couldnʼt help but feel a bit stifled.

Natalya was the kind of woman who never asked him of anything other than his attention and love. She felt inferior to the other two and didnʼt wish for anything other than being with him. But lately, she had developed a wish for her sister to have a better life and decided that it would be with none other than him since Fiora seems to also like him.

She had only this wish, but he could not fulfill that?

He instantly felt some guilt over this matter.

Evelynn became unhappy while looking at his expression. Her expression changed as she folded her arms, her big bosoms becoming more fleshed out, ”Leave it to me! Iʼll take care of it!”

”Really? Youʼre a lifesaver, Evelynn!” Davis excitedly held her shoulders as he shook her.

”Mhm~~~” Evelynn protested before Davis stopped shaking her, ”But youʼll have to later see her and talk it out, you understand?”

”Thatʼs not a problem! I just donʼt want her to be disappointed again. Also, you can tell her that her family coming here is not a problem.”

Evelynn smiled, ”Natalya would be delighted with your words for the time being.”

Davis calmed down, his worries coming to a rest.

Right now, Natalyaʼs family was in hiding with the help of Alexi Ethren, but it would only be a matter of time before someone finds them. Unlike his true background, everyone knew that Natalyaʼs family was from Ethren City. Consequently, her family might be held hostage or even killed in retaliation if he had offended someone ruthless.

He would only feel sad, but Natalya would unmistakably be heartbroken. He didnʼt want to see such a Natalya.

He thought for a moment before saying, ”Tell Natalya that I would send an Alstreim Family entourage to welcome them here. The entourageʼs line-up would be perhaps one of extravagance, but it should still make her family feel honored.”

Evelynn became taken aback before her smile widened, ”They would feel extremely honored. I think Natalya would be dancing inwardly in delight for her family but decline such a move on the outside. She hates to place a burden on you, after all.”

Davis chuckled, ”Ignore her words. That sweet little wifey always tries to please and stay low-key than me.”

Even the marriage they had wasnʼt one of extravagance, but Natalya was more than satisfied with that arrangement. And on the night of their marriage, she was even vaguely willing to let Evelynn into their nuptial chamber.

How can he not do anything for her?

His focus abruptly fell on Evelynn, a complex glint roaming over his eyes.

Now, Evelynn also was willing to let him take new women compared to the newly married her. With such a devoted and magnanimous wife, he felt happier than ever.

”Are you free now?” He asked.

Evelynn blinked before a curve appeared on her lips, ”Does it look like anything other than you is important to me?”

Davisʼs lips curved, ”Itʼll just be a little chat but hear me out. My Solitary Soul Avatar has gone to the Burning Phoenix Ridge in search of Shirley and arrived at the Dual Lotus Manor Territory where I got to see Drake...”

”He is a core disciple of one of the Dual Lotus Manorʼs Branch there...”

”...”

”...”

”...”

They gradually descended to a time of enjoying chit-chat.

======

Dual Lotus Abode.

In a spacious courtyard, there was a conical architecture at the center. The door leading to this structure was guarded by a man and woman, particularly, their light red and blue roes made their statuses apparent. They were deacons.

Inside the heavy wooden door that possessed the symbol of the two different colored lotuses growing on a tiny lily-pad cushion, the pathway was seemingly lit by bronze candles, which gave off a particular fragrance that made people sensual.

The pathway led to a spiral corridor with sparkling jade-colored steps led underneath the ground. After descending down the stairs, the narrow feeling disappeared, replaced with a spacious place that was blocked by another heavy door.

Inside it, there was a vast hall that stretched to many kilometers, appearing to occupy around ten square kilometers. There were thousands of sections named with different topics. There were many books, tomes, and scrolls in this particular hall, not to mention jade slips.

People walked around to and fro in this vast hall, seemingly going through these sources of knowledge with passionate eyes, their bodies sometimes trembling, their breathing sometimes becoming irregular.

Amidst these people, Davis went around in the Passion Library, collecting information through his soul force like he was just taking a walk around. For the books, tomes, and scrolls, he simply skimmed past them while recording the content in his memory while viewing the jade slips.

Of course, to not become suspicious, he stopped and reacted as if he was interested in something before continuing to swallow information like a whale swallowing seawater.

The jade slips were one-level higher as it contained contain lucid, explicit images, unlike the drawing in the scrolls. They were filled with vivid descriptions and their effects.

However, the men and women in it were like mannequins, not possessing any facial features but having a great outline figure. This made Davis heave a sigh, or else it would be no different than watching adult videos.

Collecting information from thousands of sources in this underground library, he had to admit.

Earthʼs debaucherous culture was very little compared to what the Dual Lotus Abodeʼs Passion Library had in store for him. There were literally millions of sexual positions to dual cultivate with the opposite sex, each targeted at the more than two thousand acupuncture points and the millions of pores present in the body.

This was just the external part of the flesh. It was unknown how the other part for dual cultivation worked to increase oneʼs Body Tempering Cultivation.
