Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1198 Attracted?

Davis kept staring at Sophieʼs comprehension state before he realized something. The surrounding heaven and earth energy was resonating to Sophieʼs comprehension. Likely, it was a comprehension bestowal brought by the Purple Star Flameʼs presence in her dantian.

ʼWell, this might attract some fire-attributed onlookers who might get greedy...ʼ

Davis thought of hiding these strange undulations with his concealment skill, but he was worried that his energy would interrupt her. Nadiaʼs dark energy was also yin in nature, so it might threaten Sophieʼs comprehension state that was yang in nature. Even if it was of the same nature, he couldnʼt guarantee if it would affect her or not.

”Nadia, take care of any magical beasts that might be attracted to the change in the heaven and earth energy here.” He commanded.

”Iʼm on it, master...”

Nadiaʼs voice resounded from the dark void as she seemed to have already discovered an onlooker.

Davis simply nodded his head and waited for Sophie to have a breakthrough in her law comprehension. The location was not apt with magical beasts roaming around in tens and hundreds, but with Starcy complying at that moment, he or Sophie had no choice. Perhaps, Starcyʼs mind would change, and she might try to escape causing him to put an end to her, so he felt that this was for the best.

Right now, Sophie possessed a huge boon!

A listening and cooperative Flame Essence was practically rarer than finding a Flame Essence of that same level. Many fire-attributed cultivators would forsake most precious things to obtain one.

Starcy still had her life as her Will wasnʼt exterminated. She could greatly and actively help Sophie comprehend Fire Laws, and as long as Starcyʼs strength increases as she began to mature while eating Sophieʼs flames, Sophie would receive benefits like this moment.

It was a mutual relationship where one feeds, and the other helps comprehend. As a result, both grow stronger!

Davis attempted to try this with the Derelict Extinction Lightning, but it refused to even speak to him, much less cooperate. Still, he tried to do something about it, trying to force its weakened Will into submission with Fallen Heavenʼs death-like energy but it ended becoming shocked to death, which he didnʼt expect at all.

Perhaps, he might obtain a new Lightning Elemental in the Dark Thunder Island that has the extinction property. In reality, he hoped to obtain a Lightning Elemental, perhaps one at the Low-Level Emperor Grade, suitable for him to hunt with Fallen Heaven.

For all he knew, he felt that he only had a ten percent chance to win against a Low-Level Emperor Grade Lightning Elemental by using his own strength, unless he got to the Soul King Stage. Thatʼs why he felt that it would be better to use Fallen Heaven.

But Davis had a greedy thought...

ʼI hope my luck exceeds again, causing me to find one similar to Starcy, young and immature...ʼ

ʼWait, that sounds so wrong...!ʼ

Davis shook his head as he came out of his reverie.

He looked towards the distance and gazed around, noticing that Nadia had left numerous carcasses in the surroundings, possibly to warn the onlookers. Most of them were Saint Beast Stage Magical Beasts, not making him interested. He didnʼt mind the Lord Beast Stage Magical Beasts either but went around to collect Peak-Level Lord Beast Stage Soul Essences.

”Tch!”

However, his brows narrowed as he let out a sound of annoyance as he looked towards the distance. From the direction of the inner region, he could sense the undulations of numerous Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes blaze towards them, and to make it worse, there were tens of King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes, causing him to frown.

The situation had become worse in an instant, and perhaps it was that Low-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape went to call its friends so that they could capture the Purple Star Flame?

ʼI shouldʼve killed it...ʼ Davis narrowed his eyes, but if he had done that at that time, catching Starcy alive wouldʼve proven to be a monumental or even an impossible task.

In any case, whatever the reason was, Davis knew that he couldnʼt let them disturb Sophieʼs meditative state. Such an opportunity was rare.

”Nadia, leave your doppelganger with Sophie and come with me...”

He commanded and took a step forwards while Nadia quickly appeared under him before they shot towards the distance, leaving another Nadia who remained to protect Sophie.

Soon, they appeared at the precipice of a mountain range that acted as a natural barrier.

Just when the hundreds of Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes were about to cross it while jumping and flying with excited expressions on their faces, Davis appeared with Nadia while she simultaneously surged with dark energy as she gave off her queenly undulations, instantly stopping the hundreds of Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes right on their tracks!

The Lord Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes were terrified before they began to retreat, hiding behind their King Beast Stage counterparts. The King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes appeared nervous as they looked at the Dark-Winged Twilight Wolf emit immense undulations that made them feel little in front of it!

They instantly began to think perhaps only their Ruler and the other five can deal with it, but since they had the numbers, a High-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape stepped forwards and roared.

”What do you want, wolf? Give us the way...”

Nadia snorted as her golden eyes gleamed with intimidation, ”Hmph! Return from where you came from... Otherwise, you will all feel my fangs and claws scraping off your innards sooner or later...”

As she spoke, her eerie dark energy began to surround the mountain range, encasing it in darkness. Since it was always night, the surroundings grew darker with only these Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes and flowing lava lighting up the area like candles.

The High-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape gradually found itself taking a step back. Its expression instantly became ugly as it knew that it disgraced itself.

*Roarrr!!~~~*

It pounded its chests and roared as flames burst out of its body, ”Give us the way, wolf! Otherwise, donʼt blame me if we kill you and the human above you!!!”

”Insolent...” Nadia coldly uttered as she disappeared from her location, leaving Davis hovering alone.

The Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape blazed with brilliant crimson flames as it flew towards Davis. Even though it lost sight of the wolf, it still hadnʼt lost sight of the human. It switched targets and approached when suddenly darkness engulfed it from below!

*Roarr!~~*

Flames burst from its limbs and crimson crystal, generating an incredible amount of fire energy before it let out a heavy punch. The darkness that tried to cover its front was dampened, but the overwhelming darkness caught up and encased its fists, causing it to roar in pain the next moment as its flesh and skin began to corrode along with its body.

It became trapped but still had the room to launch an attack.

Its feet and fists blazed with brilliant crimson flames, trying to get out when its eyes suddenly narrowed!

*Crunch!~*

*Roar~~*

A muffled sound echoed out of its voice as Nadia snapped her jaws over its throat as she caught its other arm with her legs while having her claws hooked on to its chin and chest, holding it in place.

The Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape collapsed to the ground as it sounded like echoing its death throes as Nadia inflicted her dark corroding fangs upon it while blood splashed out of its throat! It was a gruesome sight, but the surrounding darkness made it so that no one saw what was happening, not even Davis.

Nadiaʼs mouth was filled with flesh and blood as she munched on it and gulped in a second as she made the next bite, swallowing more meat and gore in the process as she literally tore the bloody flesh out of its neck. She let the neck go, licking her lips before she slightly moved.

The miserable Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape tried to counterattack, but it was firmly held in its place, unable to move or fight back. Those two seconds it experienced were hell considering that it was still alive after all that while its neck was being rampaged under dark energy.

Just when it thought of sacrificing its blood essence to overdraw its strength and escape from Nadiaʼs claws, a sharp, piercing object stabbed through its ears, reaching to its brain. Its eyes went wide before it trembled as the light-red color in its eyes faded!

Nadia moved back as she saw the dead High-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape she trampled on. She was small when compared to it but had easily killed it by overwhelming it with her dark energy, limiting its movements with her fangs and claws before ramming her dark-golden horn beside its ear, corroding the inside of its head as her dark energy went berserk!

The dark-golden horn she possessed can release deadly and potent dark energy that quickly killed the High-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape!

Just as the surrounding darkness receded, everyone saw what the Dark-Winged Twilight Wolf had done to their High-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape, causing them to further retreat as extreme fear and anger took over their minds.

”Fools! There are so many of us! What are you all retreating for!?” Another High-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape roared at the Lord Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apes, causing them to stop in their tracks.

However, even after five seconds passed in silence, they all didnʼt dare to attack Nadia despite having the advantage in numbers since she had disappeared right under their gaze, afraid that she might appear from nowhere to rip their throats.

”Go back...” Davis shook his head as he saw the stalemate while sneakily absorbing the dead Scorched-Crystal Crimson Apeʼs Soul Essence, ”I donʼt want to waste my energy or time...”

”Human! Donʼt think we donʼt know what you did in our forest! So it was you and this evil wolf who sneakily came and robbed of our resources! You will die along with that mutt when our Ruler arrives!”

”Nincompoop!”

”Pea-brained human!”

Numerous insults began to be hurled at Davis while he furrowed his brows, and indeed, he could abruptly sense the undulations of a Peak-Level King Beast Stage Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape appear near suddenly.

”Well said! We will not falter before a mutt, although it is a pity to lose one of my close-aides...” A manʼs cold voice echoed before a seventy-five-meter tall Scorched-Crystal Crimson Ape appeared, causing everyone in its clan to become excited.

”Heh! Your words are dignified like a Ruler, but youʼre not at the King-Tier, are you?” Davis sneered as he saw passing through its clanʼs apes.

”Human! You know nothing about how a King Beast Stage Magical Beast rules! I am the strongest and the rightful king of this clan, and they shall obey every one of my words!”

The Peak-Level King Beast Stage roared at him as it bared its fangs before it turned to look at the Dark-Winged Twilight Wolf standing in front of it.

”Tell me... Were you the one who attacked my soul in my forest?”
