Divine Emperor of Death

Chapter 1168 Sophie Alstreim

Sophie Alstreim kept her gaze on him, especially his captivating sapphire eyes that made her deeply attracted. She smiled, an charming grin appearing on her lips.

”I love you. I want to become yours... is what I was felt from the moment I became entranced with you in the Alchemy Exchange.”

”You donʼt know how fortunate I feel right now...” She bit her lips as she became moved while she dived into his chest, feeling his warmth in satisfaction.

A sense of fulfillment and joy washed over her as she finally confessed. When she thought it was not through anyoneʼs order but through her own will, the satisfaction became more apparent!

”Oh?” Davis pursed his lips, ”Then, can I take it that youʼre willing to be a woman of a cripple?”

”Donʼt say that!!!” Sophie Alstreimʼs expression changed before her pupils trembled, ”If I wasnʼt present, your protector wouldʼve protected you. It is my fault...”

Davis abruptly became confused, ”Whose fault?”

”My fault!” Sophie Alstreim admitted as she pressed her face against his chest in guilt.

How could she not be aware of her uselessness? She was aware that she was a burden who survived with the help of Davis. How could a magical beast protect her for no reason if it were not for Davisʼs commands or intent?

She wasnʼt foolish enough to not understand.

”I donʼt get it... Whose fault for what?” Davis still acted confused before he stepped back from her embrace.

”You..!” Sophie Alstreim became taken aback, not understanding why he was acting ignorant before she pointed at his left shoulder, ”That was because of me!...?”

Her bellow slowly changed into question as she saw a fair white arm swing around in an exercising manner in the direction she pointed. She became confused before she pointed towards her left and saw that his right arm was still intact with only his sleeves burned.

She returned her gaze back to his left arm that was supposed to not exist at this point. She looked at it closely with her purple eyes and saw that it was completely fine without any form of injuries.

”Wh- What?” Sophie Alstreim couldnʼt believe it.

”You see...” Davis smiled as he raised both his hands, ”Iʼm a petty person who wanted to see if you would still be willing to follow and love a cripple, specifically me. It could be said that your words made me feel that my decision to accept you was right.”

”Youʼre indeed a woman I can try placing my faith on and give my love without reserve...”

Sophie Alstreim seemed to be stunned, her face appearing to be devoid of comprehension. Only a moment later did realization dawn on her.

”Yes, I was testing you if youʼre worthy of my love...” Davis grinned, ”You already donʼt like me anymore, do you?”

Sophie Alstreim let out a breath as she shook her head, ”It seems like Al- Davis... You misunderstand something. Iʼm the one pursuing you, so you have complete authority to test me. Why would I hate you for that? I didnʼt even feel a bit of resentment when you rejected me in the past as it was to be expected.”

”If there was an emotion I experienced, I would say that it was only disappointment at myself...” Sophie Alstreim wryly smiled.

Davis smiled as if he expected this answer, ”This is why I like you... Youʼre understanding and reasonable to talk with while your world view as well as your rosy lips suits to my tastes...”

”Davis~” Sophie Alstreimʼs cheeks blushed red.

Davis suddenly pulled her closer and wrapped his arms around her soft waist. He spun her around and stared at her purple eyes with intensity.

Sophie Alstreimʼs body shook as her eyes trembled. A little push, and she knew that she was going to end up on the bed. Following it, she knew what kind of ceremony would take place!

She was well aware that he would be made his woman at that moment!

Sophie Alstreimʼs expression completely went crimson, and even Davis possessed a similar hue on his cheeks as she held an adorable beauty in his arms.

Both of their hearts sped up as their breathing turned erratic without even kissing.

”Davis... I...” Sophie Alstreimʼs expression shook. However, she closed her eyes and shyly lowered her head, ”Iʼm willing...”

After she said these words, Sophie Alstreim went even more red, feeling anemic as blood rushed to her head. It made her feel dizzy as well as needy, needy for love. She wanted to be spoiled silly at this moment like the romance novels she read in her past-time.

However, a warm something pressed on her forehead, making her feel good as her dizziness was taken away.

Davis kissed her forehead before he brushed her blonde hair with his hand, feeling it was smooth and silky as he ran it through his fingers. He smacked his lips on her forehead once again with love before his lips moved, ”Idiot, how much do you trust me?”

He asked with a helpless smile. He had tested her so much, but she wasnʼt the least bit suspicious about him? How could she be so defenseless? He actually wanted her to be at least a bit doubtful of him, of his intentions.

Sophie Alstreim became taken aback before she smiled as an answer was already in her mind, ”I trust you more than you think...”

She recalled that she had already said this once back when they left together on the flying boat for the first time.

And...

”ʼIf only I can leave my all to you, I would be more satisfied...ʼ is what I failed to say at that time.” She came out clean as she rested her head on his shoulder while embracing him.

Davis smiled as his heart warmed. Sometimes, he couldnʼt help but think if these women were just saying whatever his heart wanted to hear. However, he knew that these were Sophie Alstreimʼs true feelings.

His Heart Intent had told him so in the past, so there was no need to doubt her now. It could be said that he was confident that she wouldnʼt reject his advances.

She was truly in love with him, but he just couldnʼt understand how she or his other wives other than Evelynn came to like him. After all, if the roles were reversed, he would think he would be better off with another untaken person.

However, perspectives always differ. He knew that he could always not understand what the other party was thinking, and so, he could not help but want to say.

”Sophie... the only two things I expect from my women, from you, is loyalty and love. So donʼt ever betray me as it would be the last thing you want to do before you disappear from the face of this world.”

Sophie Alstreim unexpectedly giggled with a smile on her face, ”Thatʼs a given...”

She didnʼt appear to be offended at all.

Davisʼs expression deflated. He was serious, but his words were retaken as something common, just like the time he said similar words to Evelynn and Natalya.

They reacted the same, mocking him as if it was to be expected.

Could it be that his expectations were lower than the average man out here in this cultivation world?

Davis could only think that it was the case before he ruefully shook his head and kissed her forehead with a smack of his lips.

”My dear Sophie, why didnʼt you still use the nectar I gave you?”

”I...” Sophie Alstreim became taken aback before she smiled, already feeling nostalgic of her past self, ”I was planning on keeping it as a memento if we were never meant to be.”

Davisʼs heart became heavy as his eyes widened. He had meant for her to become stronger, but he had unknowingly planted a seed in her that made her constantly think of him. He inwardly sighed, finally knowing why she would stupidly travel to the Hundred Devil Thunder Archipelago without a single person to accompany her.

She was blinded by love.

”I see... I am sorry that I rejected you in the past.” Davis apologized, getting this heavy feeling out of his heart before he smiled, ”Now, go train your Body Tempering Cultivation.”

”If you were to be with me, you might perhaps face numerous dangers, so I want you to become stronger, as much as Evelynn, okay?”

Sophie brought her head back and heavily nodded.

”I wonʼt disappoint you!”

Davis let out a chuckle, ”Itʼs not about disappointing me.”

He raised his hand and captured her chin, ”Itʼs about my wish of wanting you to stay alive in dangerous situations when Iʼm not present for some heaven forbidden reason.”

”Now that youʼre mine, I want to cherish you...” He whispered, his voice sounding entrancing to her.

Sophieʼs heart skipped a beat before she slowly closed her eyes.

Davis reached for her lips and took it, relishing her taste once again for a few times before the red-faced Sophie ran out like a shy woman who could no longer take the intensity of the situation she found herself in!

When the door closed shut after she left, Davisʼs expression turned into one of a wry smile.

Sophie loved him so much that their relationship was progressing at a terrific rate once they confirmed their relationship. She had even instantly accepted to sleep with him, but that moment of hesitation still didnʼt escape his eyes. Thatʼs why he stopped and sent her to cultivate.

That was one of the two reasons.

The other reason was before he entirely makes her his woman, he felt like he first owed the two women waiting for him back in the Purple Guest Palace an explanation.

Of course, he had no plans to give up Sophie. She was a lovely and gorgeous woman who invoked a lot of feelings in him, including love, and there were only a few who were capable of that! He didnʼt love her first, and neither did he at the moment. However, she was such an adorable gem that it made him want to hug and cherish her with love.

If she didnʼt take the initiative to kiss him, he wouldnʼt have made a move on her a while ago and just treated her as a woman he liked and admired, as a friend, treating their adventure as a good experience.

However, since she kissed him, he selfishly wanted to make him hers because, from that moment, he could no longer imagine her in someone elseʼs arms. Even if she had denied him, he was intent on making her his woman from that moment!

Sophie could only blame herself for taking the initiative to strike the hornetʼs nest.

ʼNow sheʼs stuck with me for an eternity...ʼ An evil grin appeared on Davisʼs lips.

ʼBut first! Iʼll try my best to convince them!ʼ He inwardly swore and used his soul body in the Alstreim Family to contact his two wives.
