New Age Of Summoners

Captain Edmond stood up before saying to Udo and Ajax, ’What are we waiting for? Let’s go.’

Without waiting for a reply from Udo and Ajax, Captain Edmond started walking out of the cave.

”I am always ready for some action.”

Udo liked to fight those he hated and among those he hated, the Quickthunder mercenary squad would be one.

So, without wasting any time, he followed Edmond.

’...’

As for Ajax, he was speechless looking at Edmond and Udo; however, he also followed them.

.....

Some distance away from the cave,

’Everyone, be ready to use your strongest attacks the moment you see Captain Edmond. I will also use the talisman to seal his senses. Let’s see how he will escape this time from us.’

Captain Berk was silently transmitting his orders to his squad members through the voice transmission.

Actually, Captain Berk and his squad members didn’t leave very far from the cave because Captain Berk had some sort of plan.

After hearing their captain’s plan, everyone went into hiding and kept an eye in the direction of the cave.

’Damn you, Edmond. I will see who will save you, today.’

As for Captain Berk, he revealed a cold smile on his face as he also retracted his senses and waited for Edmond and Udo to come out of the cave.

The thing is, there was some bad blood between Captain Edmond and Captain Berk.

In the past, Captain Berk used to be called the next legendary mercenary. So, he didn’t bother with the rank and at the same time, he stopped his strength and power in front of everyone.

However, everything changed with the sudden appearance of Edmond. With just cultivation of the general realm, Edmond used to complete the dangerous missions and before anyone could notice, his squad became a top three mercenary squad.

Soon after, people started saying that Edmond would become the next legendary mercenary.

Even though Captain Berk insulted Captain Edmond in front of everyone, Captain Edmond ignored him because he knew he had to use his trump cards in front of everyone for a meaningless fight.

Moreover, he could not openly fight Captain Edmond because it would give him a bad name that he fights the weak mercenaries without their consent.

’Finally, I got the chance to take care of that bastard. So, why would I allow others to kill him?’

That was the only thought in Captain Berk’s head as he waited for Captain Edmond to come out of the cave.

’Swoosh’

Soon, Captain Berk heard the moment from the direction of the cave and hurriedly alerted everyone, ’Everyone, be ready to use your trump cards as soon as I used my talisman.’

He once again reminded them to attack Edmond only after he uses his senses-sealing talisman.

’Yes, Captain Berk.’

Everyone nodded their heads and seriously looked at the incoming figures.

From the other side, Captain Edmond, Udo and Ajax were running towards them at a high speed.

’Senses-sealing talisman, go.’

Captain Berk waited until Edmond was within 100 meters range and threw the talisman in his hand at Edmond.

’Huh?’

Captain Edmond was shocked to see the sudden appearance of Captain Berk. So, he didn’t have the time to dodge the incoming talisman.

Nevertheless, just when the talisman was about to touch him, Captain Edmond mysteriously disappeared from his place.

’Puchi’

As for the talisman, it was attached to Udo who was next to Captain Edmond.

’Thud’

The moment the ’Senses-sealing talisman’ attached to himself, Udo fell to the ground with a shocked face.

’What the hell? Why can’t I move?’

Udo was shocked because he can’t move his body and he can’t even speak or transmit his voice to others.

’What the hell?’

Not only Udo but even Captain Berk was shocked to the core because he didn’t expect that the target he set for the ’Senses-sealing talisman’ would be changed.

’Everyone, attack now.’

Since his greatest trump card was already wasted, Captain Berk didn’t want it go for nothing. So, he asked all his squad members to attack Udo.

As for Edmond, he had already got the information about the talisman from Ajax. So, he was careful when he saw the talisman; however, what he didn’t expect was that Udo would be right beside him.

’Ajax, take Udo with you and go away from here.’

Nevertheless, he didn’t let anyone harm Udo. So, he asked Ajax to take care of Udo while he took care of the Quickthunder mercenary squad.

’Yes, Captain Edmond.’

Ajax was excited to see what Edmond was going to do with the Quickthunder mercenary squad.

’Slait, come out and use your ’Earth Shield’.’

Even though he nodded his head, he didn’t move from his place as he wanted to see the true power of Edmond.

So, he summoned Slait and asked him to use his Earth shield.

’Yes, brother Ajax.’

As soon as Slait appeared, he nodded his head at Ajax before summoning a khaki colour barrier around Ajax and Udo.

’Bounce’

’Dong’

All the attacks from the Quickthunder mercenary squad members were either bounced back at them or destroyed by the barrier making everyone present in that place get shocked.

’What the hell?’

’He is a summoner?’

’Why didn’t we hear his name?’

’Moreover, why is he helping Captain Edmond?’

Once they saw Ajax summon an earth elemental spirit and block their attack, everyone was shocked as they asked among themselves about Ajax.

”Captain Edmond, you take care of Captain Berk and his vice-captain. As for these people, I will take care of them.”

Ajax didn’t bother about their words as he replied to Captain Edmond.

”...”

This time, it was Captain Edmond’s turn to get speechless at Ajax’s words; however, he didn’t say anything because he always knew that Ajax was as simple as he appeared.

”Let’s show them the power of the Hazegroove mercenary squad.”

As soon as he finished his words, Captain Edmond rushed at Captain Berk and his vice-captain.
